Hi Karon, can't advise on anything as we haven't cruised Princess in a while, and lot's has changed i think but just wanted to say hi and have a great time, hope you and Aldo are well. Cruising from the UK is something we would love to do sometime.

We have done both P&O and Carnival twice this year. So much more included food on Carnival. Our daughter and three grandkids were just with us on the Splendor last week, and lived on pizza and icecream.....all free on Carnival. So much choice in the buffet, Masala Tiger curries, stir fries made to order, pizza, guys burgers and fries and the same food in the buffet for dinner as what is on the menu in the dining room that night. (we found this out on Luminosa earlier this year). Seaday brunch.....with eggs all ways!!! Huge menu. We have crossed P&O off the list too, sad as they have some good itineraries to the islands and PNG, and we like the Grand class old Princess ships.

Geoff, Will let you know but will probably get off, don't think we have had Newy as a port stop before, just embarkation. Weird itinerary though, sail back from Hobart past Sydney to Newcastle, then back down to Sydney, just filling in time.

We are scheduled to stop at Eden on Brilliance of the Seas 23rd Oct 23, no notification yet. No problem either way, neither is Newcastle, just looking forward to the two days in Hobart......and to cruise on the Radiance class smaller ship.

We have booked there for next week, I have rebooked at cheaper price about 4 times. We stayed here years ago when it was the Travelodge. Inside info is it is changing to a Novotel at the end of the year, still in the Accor group. Which exit did you take from Wynyard station?

Another thankyou from me re the wine, didn't think to look at their policy, but it is there now. And yes, check in a second past 12am, just did it last week. 11.30am is the first that was offered. Suits us for a 11am check out of hotel.

No worries😀 I got them on special last week for $11, tried the Tropical scent but love the Linen. I use 3 sheets for a large load at home, 1 sheet for handwashing etc.

Kristelle, laundry sheets available at Woolworths, there are a few different brands. Taken them on cruise as well, a few in a ziplock bag, light weight, no leakage or bulky packaging.

Pacific Explorer Fremantle to Singapore 7th Feb 2025 11 nights, Singapore to Freemantle 12 nights 2nd March 2025. Nice itineraries if they happen, Phuket, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur, Lombok, around $1000 insides.

Geoff we have had 741 and 747 Insides on Diamond and Golden and have had no noise issues. You may hear that aft door close shut if others don't close it gently. It's our favourite area on those ships to get outside, a bar and the buffet for early morning cuppa. I would take the 749 or 750 which are further away from the foot traffic using that door. These cabins have two small portholes, head of bed is against them and they are slightly smaller than an inside at 158sqf (inside 160sqf), otherwise same layout as standard insides on those ships. I have had a look at these Oceanview cabins on Emerald.

Onesource is where the link I posted is from, only the NZ one I posted worked, the others just went to Princess with a Oops!! but seem all good now. Anyway they are all there now, and yes, parts of Onesource can be publicly viewed, others you need a log in.

Just got the Princess email, on sale 4th April Elite Guests and 5th April General sale 9am AEST. Good luck cruisers!! I will wait to see what Royal come out with, and we loved the Luminosa so will have another look at that.

Royal has 2 South pacific return cruises from Sydney, Crown has 4 from Sydney and Diamond has none from Mel or Brisbane, NZ will be Princess busy!!

Agree, we were looking for a Xmas/New year cruise, why is Diamond going to NZ from Brisbane for most of them🙃

At the moment our Royal cruise is showing $127.06 for the deluxe beverage package, we would never spend $250 a day between us and we like a drink, although not as much as we used to! Our last couple of short cruises, P&O and Carnival, very similar prices, we averaged $100 a day between us. We drink tea/coffee in the morning and water during the day, a drink in a bar before dinner and buy a bottle of wine with dinner and instead of getting the waiter to save the bottle for the following night, we now take it with us and enjoy at a show or bar...or I finish the wine😇 and Andy has a bourbon.

Did you mean you skip across to the Ayre peninsula? I have lived in South Australia, all of my fathers family is from there. When we travelled around Australia in 2011/2012 we spent a lot of time in SA. We haven't been all the way down to the "boot" of the Yorke, there is a national park there. It's a long trip to take the caravan and that's the only way we would do it, so much to see.

I would love to move to Agnes Water/1770.....but think we will buy something on the Yorke Peninsula to retire to. Handy for trips up the middle, over to the west and the loveliest unspoiled beaches. Shed house off grid will do us😁
