  1. Yes Geoff and Barry, it was 6 nights. Did anyone on our table wear a Tux? I am pretty sure Andy wore a black suit and tie....will have a look at our photos....somewhere, so long ago!! We look for cruises to relax now and dress down a bit so choose ships accordingly.
  2. Just thought I would add a link to some info on Ubank https://flighthacks.com.au/ubank-referral-code/ We have a few saving accounts linked to the spend account (we are Barefoot Bankers😉) and they all earn the interest once at least $200 is deposited a month.
  3. Have a look at Ubank. We have used 28 Degrees Credit Card for overseas spends and Citibank debit card for years for overseas travel. Citibank cancelled our cards due to not using it, even though we had left money in the accounts, they had not been active. Searched around, read reviews etc and went with Ubank. No account keeping fees, no overseas ATM fees and no foreign transaction fees. Havent used them overseas yet, but are so happy with their product we have transferred all our everyday spending, savings etc from ANZ, who I am over dealing with as they have changed all their accounts and charge fees. Great savings rates too with Ubank. It is all online, set up easy and is part of The National Bank.
  4. Thanks for that. I see both Radiance and Brilliance are in Alaska so either could do the transpacific from Vancouver? Quantum for a dry dock might be a good itinerary, but rather Radiance class. I have a special "0" birthday so will wait and see.......thanks!
  5. Anyone know when the itineraries are out for Honolulu to Sydney 2024? I see there is a rollcall for Brilliance, Vancouver to Honolulu ending on 2nd Oct and assuming ( prop not a good thing to do!!) that it will continue on to Sydney, there is an arrival date for "Vision" on Sydney ports on the 20th Oct which would tie into an 18 day crossing. If this has been discussed elsewhere just head me in that direction, looking to make a booking but preferably not on Quantum or Ovation which look to arrive November .
  6. Noticed the 3 L's as well, but very similar. Nice pic Aus Traveller, have "known" you a long time but never met. Come on Geoff, that's a pic of you and Barb!!
  7. Libby, it is all a bit strange as I don't get that offer code Sarah has posted. Are you searching through your log in profile then drop down then offers? Only asking because if I log in then just search I don't get the cheaper offers
  8. We sometimes stay at an airport hotel when we do an evening flight from Port Mac to Sydney after work for a cruise the next day, usually Ibis (not the budget one) or Pullman is next door but usually too expensive. Great shopping centre nearby for alcohol/dinner and we walk to Mascot train station in the morning for the ride to Circ Quay. We can't justify the Sydney prices for a night, if we don't have a full day before to enjoy Sydney.
  9. I logged in to Carnival via my profile, went to Offers and could see a few different ones, booked the 3 nighter under K5Y code. Went back in the next day and the K5Y offer I booked with is gone. Logged back in under my hubbys profile and the KY5 offer is there. So I think when you have used the offer is disappears, anyone booked more than one cruise under the K5Y sale? If I was to book that 3 nighter now the balconies are $490. I can still see Luminosa Flash Code QLF sale 7 nighter Queensland coast and 11 night NZ for $250p/p
  10. I know, we will drive if we have to. So weird that some can't get the cheap offers. Just spoke with Bob and he can't see the offers I get. I logged on Carnival under Andy's profile and all the cheap offers are there too, he who wouldn't even know how to log on or what his VIFP number was😂
  11. Just booked a 3 nighter on Luminosa in March, $175 each for a Balcony, one of the extra large ones on deck 4. We can get up to Brissy and back with Qantas FF points so a cheapie all round. So many deals when I log in on Carnival, if only we had lots of annual leave.
  12. Hope all goes well Cheryle, let me me know if you need anything if you come down with it and both can't get out. Happy to shop or go to chemist etc for you.
  13. We really enjoyed our Carnival cruises, particularly the Splendour. As said above, great entertainment and comedy, best choice of food. Although we have tried most cruise lines and mainly Princess for the last few years, none of their ships here interest us at the moment and their prices are way too high for us. I would book Carnival ATM for price and quality, room and balcony sizes and variation. Most itineraries are similar ATM through all cruise lines, coastal and some Pacific Islands that are allowing ships and NZ.
  14. Agree, looking forward to see what P&O have done with Adventure, we like that class ship. Our last P&O Explorer cruise was just before the shutdown, liked what they had done with some public areas but the cabins had not been changed since Princess days. Think they had the same bedding as when we had cruised on her 10 years prior.
  15. Dinner location looks beautiful Geoff. I remember when Geri and I sailed of on the Pacific Dawn for it's 28 day voyage back in 2008 to Tahiti the ship was late leaving, we had had dinner and were sitting in the aft spa's in the rain and wind drinking champagne leaving Sydney behind.
  16. Just received an email from P&O Aus for a upcoming cruise, masks are "recommended" indoors and embarkation. 5 day isolation if you get covid onboard. Close contacts do not have to isolate, but have to be self tested everyday, wear a mask in public and not eat with others for 7 days whilst onboard. On return if your 5 days is not up, its up to you to return home, go to hotel, drive etc. They state they are keeping inline with protocols on land.
  17. Les, we are so sorry to hear about your illness, thinking of you my partner in crime.
  18. Oh so very envious.....but so so happy for you guys🥰 Funny how things bring back memories of cruising.....was in chemist warehouse this morning and the smell of all the perfumes made me think of cruising, and now watching the webcams waiting for you to leave with the views of the harbour brings tears to my eyes. So happy cruising is back, even if not how we remember it, but so happy that you are all out there enjoying.
  19. Yes and love it. The only Princess grand class here is the Grand!! Come on Sapphire, make you way here and I might just book another Princess cruise😂
