  1. Good to "see" you here Sue. We sailed on the Apex last week and parked at the port. $15/day for parking there. We walked to/from the Apex terminal easily. While on the Apex I looked over at the HAL ship and immediately thought of you. Jeff
  2. It took us about two hours when we dined in Eden on the Apex last week.
  3. I know on our S-2 on the Apex (10121) our bed faced the balcony
  4. We just got off the Apex where we were in 10121. Excellent location
  5. Boarding day Luminae menu from Apex 1/14/23 sailing
  6. We had that menu earlier this week on the Apex. Loved it.
  7. Wondering what the difference is between these three categories. Is S1 better (more expensive) that S2 or S3? Or is it the other way around?
  8. We did Eden just a few nights ago on the Apex. No special show going on while we ate. Good food. Fancy presentation. Great service.
  9. We've cruised on three different cruise lines in the past three months (DCL, RCL & Celebrity) and the number of people wearing masks is so low as to be nearly non-existent. Certainly less than 1%.
  10. I don't see a huge difference in the Luminae menu on the Apex.
  11. The differences between the two ships are fairly minor. I'd go with whichever itinerary you prefer. Or perhaps whichever has the better price once you include transportation.
  12. That's a huge price difference. I'd go with the Galveston sailing.
  13. Assuming this is at Ft Lauderdale it should take you about 3 hours on the FL turnpike to get to the port from Kissimmee (We are from Winter Garden and just didi this). Leave home about 10 am so you avoid morning rush hour.
  14. You can park right at the port and its a short walk to the ship.
  15. We are on the Apex in a sky suite. There is plenty of closet and draw space. There is a large double closet as you first walk in, and a separate closet just after the bathroom door. Plenty of draw space in the bathroom under the sink. Shelves as well. In the room itself there are large draws under the TV.
  16. No reason to favor any particular one over another. Go with your gut.
  17. The top knob controls where the water comes out. Just turn it to the various positions to rotate through the rain head, body jets, hand held, or faucet. The lower one controls the temperature and on/off.
  18. How about just asking the bartender to make yours in the larger glasses?
  19. It's sometimes really hard to separate the on-board experience when considering different itineraries. I'd certainly agree that 7-night cruises are more to our liking than 3- or 4-night cruises. But that's independent on the ship itself.
  20. I'd argue that concierge on the Wish is significantly better than Concierge on any of the other DCL ships. It's a very nice space, easy access to its own sundeck, has hot food (think snacks, not meals), and a very helpful staff. Is it worth it? Probably not since Concierge tends to be twice the price of the highest non-concierge veranda stateroom.
  21. Will be on the Apex next week. Wondering if there is a library of sorts where people leave books they've finished reading for others to take. If there is, where would I find it?
  22. Perhaps they are taking a flyer based on threads here on Cruise Critic that are written to generate a lot of posts?
  23. We've been on both the Harmony and Allure, but haven't yet sailed on the Wonder, which we have booked for September. While there are some differences between the Harmony and the Allure, to us there really isn't a significant reason to sail on one over the other. For us being in the Orlando area, we go with whatever ship is sailing from Port Canaveral since it's only about a 75 minute drive. I'd agree that getting to the Allure from the Houston airport will probably eat up a bit of the savings. Getting to Port Canaveral from MCO is slightly less than an hour.
  24. I would think that if the higher category bid was accepted that you would have been notified.
