  1. I said I can't drink more than 2 without getting stupid! I didn't say I don't drink more than 2!!!!! Elvis
  2. Usually there are waiters from the lounge that come out to the pool area to get you drinks! Elvis
  3. As far as I'm concerned (and nobody should listen to me!) my favorite drink, hands down, is a Belvedere martini, very cold. very dry, straight up with three olives. with martinis you have to exhibit a little discipline. I find I can't drink more than two without getting stupid! Not drunk, mind you, stupid! On my last cruise on Breakaway, my wife treated me to a Louis XIII cognac. That was a religious experience! Elvis
  4. Try Celebrity. No smoking throughout the whole ship! Elvis
  5. I was an altar boy! Need be, I can say Mass. Elvis
  6. I would recommend the hot stone massage. I don't think I could ever have a massage that was too long, only too short! Priscilla and I always have a couple's hot stone massage at the beginning of the cruise and one at the end. As for as the hard sell at the end, we just tell the Spa Manager we don't want one and we've never had a problem. Elvis
  7. Are you actually expecting people to take responsibility for their own children? Stop it! You're killing me! Elvis
  8. Not a damn thing!!!!!!! Elvis P.S. Used to be my dog, but she's taking that big cruise over the Rainbow Bridge!
  9. The Russians refer to their ships as "he". And by the way sir, thank you for your service! I was never fortunate enough to serve in the armed forces. My father was a D-Day vet and ever since he passed away, I always attend veteran's meetings that are held on cruises, if any. I do it for him because he was my hero and idol. I did follow in his footsteps by becoming a police officer. Elvis
  10. I'm also going to try The House of Prime Rib when I find myself in SF. Elvis
  11. CDR, I have a question for you. Are you actually in the NAVY? The reason I ask may seem trivial to you, but to me it's like nails on the blackboard. Is the ship "The Breakaway" or is it simply "Breakaway"? I think it's just "Breakaway". Ships are referred to in the feminine gender. When referring to a lady it's "Mary", not the Mary. Am I correct in assuming that? You have to remember, I'm retired and have nothing else to think about! Elvis
  12. When I go to Vegas or LA I always go to In and Out for burgers and fries, then I go to Lawry's for prime rib! Either one is worth the trip! Elvis
  13. Now you're speaking my language! "White Castle", in my opinion, is the perfect food. I live on Long Island but have a camper in upstate NY. When I go up there, about a two hour drive, I go right past a White Castle. Sometimes I'll stop and get a sack of ten for the trip. It makes the time pass much faster and gives you added "motivation" to get there. I used to have a White Castle about five minutes from where I live. They closed down and I was ready to sell my house! Now I have to drive about 30 minutes to get to the nearest one! If that one closes I'll just kill myself! Elvis P.S. I have a cruise coming up in September. We are on Escape, in The Haven. Since my Haven cruise last March on Breakaway, that's the only way I want to cruise!
  14. Oh you certainly can! And food too! I've found that very convenient when leaving the cigar lounge! Elvis
  15. Couldn't agree more! Once you sail in the Haven it is next to impossible to sail in a "regular" cabin! I will be sailing on Escape in September. This will be my third NCL cruise, my second Haven cruise. Elvis
  16. Never mind! It's not Solstice, it's Silhouette! My bad!!! Elvis
  17. I've never been on Equinox, but I would venture to guess that no, there is no cigar bar or lounge aboard. Celebrity is not a "cigar friendly" cruise line. I too like to end my night with my favorite stogie and my libation of choice. (That's what they did on Titanic and look how that turned out!) I did some research and found out that my upcoming Silhouette cruise had a cigar smoking section in the Sunset Lounge. It is on deck and uncovered, but from what I hear it'd a nice area. Have you ever been on a Norwegian or Princess ship? Most of them have an indoor dedicated cigar lounge. I'm sure Equinox will have a space for you. Enjoy your voyage! Elvis
  18. "Bug" is a term used by all divers for all lobsters, not just the warm water variety. Elvis
  19. Correct! It's an excellent day to get a massage! Or maybe you can just lounge by the pool! I guarantee you won't be bored! Elvis
  20. I plan on wearing my tux on my Silhouette cruise to the Caribbean. On casual nights I'll go casual. On chic nights I'm getting dressed up. I just feel good when I'm dressed up! This is just my opinion, but I think the cruise lines made a mistake by getting rid of formal nights! Again, just my opinion. Elvis
