  1. Yes no matter if you have package or not. You just have to pay for it each time either with a package or $$$.
  2. I have always carried it my front pocket. An occasion I have been asked to see it which I readily do of course. However most of the time I just keep it in my pocket.
  3. I have witnessed on all our cruises the galley staff come out with special menus and go over what the pax can eat for the next day's dinner in the MDR. The next day the chosen dishes will be served to that pax followed by a visit from the galley staff to discuss tomorrow's night meal. They are very helpful.
  4. I have not seen that show offered for a long time. It was entertaining and wish it would come back.
  5. I canceled an EZair flight once between the full payment date and the 45 days before first flight and rebooked another flight with EZair. They demanded the money for the new flight and put the fare already paid in my OBC as refundable. This was a couple of years ago. I had thought they would just refund the original payment to my CC but no.
  6. There is nothing in front of that cabin. However is next to the Casino which is open 24 hours while at sea which may mean a lot of binging. Also it is right below the Promenade which can get a lot of foot traffic and possibly some joggers.
  7. Yes but it is not easy to pull out the bed. So I just use an extension cord that I brought for the occasion. I do have two pronged devices for world travel.
  8. It always amazes me on how people pay big $$$ on a cruise and then try to find ways to get around paying for a passport. EU people seem to not have a problem as most have one but here in the USA people seem to gag on getting one. Simply get one and factor in the cost of the cruise. Passports will allow one to travel the world by ship or air. So get one now.
  9. I always put my AirSense 10 on the night stand with the fixed lamp. One caution is plugging the cpap into the power outlet. All the 110v power oultets (2) are above the desk. There is a EU type outlet in the wall where the bed is located but I have a problem pulling it out plus it needs a multiple plug because of the lamp.. I bring my own extension cord and magnetic hooks to keep the cord off the floor. Your steward will loan you an extension cord if needed but its quality may be questionable. Ask your steward and he will give you a bottle of distilled water for the duration of the cruise at no charge..
  10. I have never seen the PES lounge advertised in the daily bulletin. It is held on the older ships in Sky Walkers or if too many are aboard in club fusion. You will get an invite to your stateroom if qualified. The discounted specialty drink went away with the Plus program. The food offered is snack food. I love the cut up veggies and some of the other fare. We made elite in 2014 and frequently go to the designated lounge before dinner.
  11. I used stock perks for the first time recently for a CCL cruise in January 2025. First problem was that they don't have access to Fidelity (yeah for Fidelity) so I had to make a picture of my stock statement showing I owned 100 shares of CCL. They did respond back saying that 2025 is not open yet! So far my experience with SP is that it stinks and luckily I was able to email Princess with a copy of my stock statement. They credited my 2025 cruisings with SOBC. My hope is that they keep handing this themselves. SB stinks.
  12. For the last 10 years I have worn a pair of levis and short sleeve polo shirt with my sneakers. On formal night I wear a short sleeved guayabera shirt and a type of cotton pants with my blue sneakers. Years ago I was able to get rid of all my ties, sport coats and leather shoes and feel so much better. In my profession I never wore coat and tie to work and now that I am retired I dress a lot more casual. As for shorts I have worn shorts in the MDR on non-formal nights without any problem in times past in the Caribbean. All my shorts are either 5" or 7" btw.
  13. How do you now claim OBC for your 100 CCL shares on Princess. In times past we sent an email to Princess (forgot the email address) to make a claim?
  14. I have been using a CPAP (resmed 10)for the last four years and travel with it (I am retired). Airport security have seen plenty of these devices and don't even blink an eye. The airline does not count it against your limit. I put it in the overhead. Onboard the ship I put it on the nightstand beside the bed (barely fits) and then hook it up to the outlet over the desk. This usually entails a light extension cord that I carry with me and magnetic hooks so I can run it across the ceiling instead of tripping over the cord. The extension cord the ship will give you to use is much heavier than my 15A #16 light wire. I ask the room attendant for some distilled water (usually a gallon) and leave the remains for them to pick up. Works great. We now both use epens to inject medicine and ask the room attendant for a disposer for epens so we don't have to take them home.
  15. The crew will accept any money you want to give them. USD might be easier for them rather than some other currency but they gladly accept any and all monetary gifts.
  16. We were on the Emerald for a 15 day cruise last month. The door signs were present but not in a large number. Our steward did not mention at any time about door signs being not permitted. So not sure about the "fleet wide policy". We sail again this fall and will see if it is enforced at that time and ship.
  17. I have been going to the Veteran's meetups ever since I started cruising on Princess. There are always veterans there that sometimes have very interesting stories to tell. I never miss them. On our last cruise on Emerald there were dozens of veterans present. We are starting to see younger veterans present including women. Thank you Princess for hosting the meetups and for the Veterans OBC. We appreciate it.
  18. I agree. I am vacation even thought it is endless and appreciate the one price which in my case is plus. I can order whatever drinks I want in any quantity and we both get the internet access. To me gratuities are an added cost of the cruise and would never delete them. I have bought plus ever since it was introduced. I hope they keep it and not increase it anymore with gym classes (at my age?), the special desserts (just looking at them adds calories!) and other benefits. I do drink a bit but nowhere near the limit of 15/day. I have been known to penny pinch and keep frequent tabs on my folio several times a day but to me plus is worth it.
  19. OMG!! Never remove the gratuities. If you cannot afford them stay home and save the total cost.
  20. Basically no swimwear. Shorts in the MDR on informal nights can be worn as well as jeans in good repair. Tshirts with sleeves (no sleeveless), athletic shoes or flip flops or some kind of shirts. Dress standards on PCL has been going towards the more informal like other mass market cruise lines.
  21. We were on the Regal for the 3/10 sailing. We were not told anything about door decorations but then we seldom put up anything on our door. This door was two doors down from our cabin and stayed on the entire cruise.
  22. We just got off the Regal on Sunday. In the MDR I saw shorts and tshirts plus hat. It appears that they do not enforce dress codes at all. I was shocked. We both wore more respectable clothing to the MDR with long pants etc. Felt like I was on a carnival ship!
  23. For someone who is accompanying wine aficionados but does not like wine, an alternative is offered. The other reason may be that Good Spirits is crowded.
  24. Texas state liquor laws requires all alcohol served in Texas has to come from a Texas licensed distributor. It further bars all discounts and "offers" such as 2 for 1 or doubles for the price of one which makes the package illegal in Texas which includes offshore waters up to 12 miles. It is a PIA. Further if you purchase any alcohol or cigarettes while on the cruise from any source, you must pay Texas excise tax when you debark in Galveston with the alcohol regardless of your final destination. The state sits just outside the exit from the terminal to get their pound of flesh. In days passed one could simply hide it and just walk by. We deboarded the Regal on Sunday and they had a notice in the pater to scan in a code that I presume collects the fee. We gave up taking alcohol home years ago as it is just as inexpensive locally.
  25. Some of the port charges when you booked had gone done by the time you sailed. So they refund the difference which happens quite regularly.
