  1. They are certainly not doing capacity control at all at this point, just the wariness of the passengers in booking.
  2. I got mine fixed today. Finally got a call back from a Princess Rep. I had emailed Swartz and Padgett, but got no response from that (very frustrating). Then emailed as suggested in another thread my issue to AskOceanMedallion@princess.com. Got a response from them the next day asking questions which I answered. Then got a call from them (I did not answer because the call was labeled by ATT as "Spam Risk". They did leave a message with number and extension, and I called back and left a VM. Got a call back later that day that they were working on it and would call me today. Same lady called me back. I explained, again, the issue, and she went into my account and changed my login name from my email to just a shortname and changed my password. Had me log in and it worked. I told her about the recommendation that was being made to reregister but enter your info as it was on your existing account, an almost impossible thing to do, and she said not to do that, but to call and they would fix each account individually.
  3. Thanks for sharing this. We are going on our first Celebrity cruise on her in October, and my biggest worry is the A/C. Good to know if you have to complain about something they will try to fix it. I hope we only have 1300 pax on board as well, that way if we did have to move, there would be options.
  4. Yep, and I tried to call and ask to speak to IT, but they can't apparently connect you to someone who can fix the issue. The answer of "reregister and type everything in exactly as it appeared" is the dumbest answer i have ever heard. This is complete incompetence to even put that out as a solution.
  5. It should be "We have no idea how to protect your online account from ourselves"
  6. Ah, that is good to know. Is it an American style plug or European?
  7. I can't imagine people are bidding max that often, I mean, just book the most expensive suite initially if that is what you want.
  8. Well, this is easy. Bid the max and you will get it, no questions asked.
  9. Still out for me. I emailed Swartz and Padgett Saturday, if I don't get a response by afternoon, I will resend. This is absolutely rediculous that they have lost peoples access to their accounts and aren't fixing it.
  10. I would be pretty furious if I paid to upgrade my wifi and it didn't let me stream. Do you guys complain about that and get your money back?
  11. Thanks. I resent just now and no bounce yet.
  12. Do you have email addresses for them? I tried to use the ones from the other thread, and they both bounced.
  13. I used the ones mentioned earlier. Your message to japagett@carnival.com has been blocked. See technical details below for more information. Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: jaswartz@hagroup.com The email address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's email address and try to resend the message. If the problem continues, please contact your email admin.
  14. My email to padgett and swartz both bounced to me.
  15. We are taking our first Celebrity cruise soon just to see how different it is from Princess, and they offer this option. I wouldn't do it myself because you don't get location choice for your upgrade, so you might get upgraded, but if you like a certain area of the ship, you might not get it.
  16. I'm having the same problems, just emailed Jan Swartz. I too called in a couple of times, transferred around, and was told to create a new account, but be sure to enter my information exactly as it was in the existing system. Well guess what, I'm not sure if I can't see it. This is absolutely disgraceful of Princess/Carnival to have these ongoing IT issues, and you can never get to someone to fix it. I'm not going to try creating a new account and hope that I input the information to match only to find out that I didn't, and now I have a new captains circle number, can't see my booking or FCC's, etc.
  17. I'm glad to hear that. We haven't gone to a DR for a few years on Princess, instead just eat all our meals either at one of the poolside options or the buffet. We aren't that picky overall, but on our last cruise on Emerald Princess in the spring, the buffet was pretty meh overall, many same selections each day. Others have commented about the Celebrity buffet being better, so we are looking forward to that. Can anyone comment on the on demand TV options? We really enjoy how Princess does this, lots of movies and TV shows to choose from.
  18. I do have the elevate or whatever it's called with tips, wifi, and drinks included, but I was just more referring to the general prices being what seems like significantly higher across those items. Just surprised me a bit. I do wonder what the cost of upgrading the wifi to streaming and should I do that before boarding? Advantage either way for anyone without status on Celebrity?
  19. A question for the Celebrity crowd. Taking our first Celebrity cruise in a few weeks, and compared to Princess, the price of wifi and things like Specialty Dining seem significantly higher on Celebrity. I was looking at the Tuscan grill, and it's $49 vs $29 for the Crown Grill. I think Princess wifi is around $12/day and it's $30 in Celebrity. Drink packages seem higher overall too although not as much. Am I missing something with this? Just curious really, but many of these items are double what they are on Princess, so I was just curious. I do have some OBC that came with my booking, and would I be better off upgrading internet before I board from the basic to the streaming? I have read that streaming isn't always streaming, but I would want to try. Princess wifi overall seems pretty good in the evenings if we want to watch a movie on our computer. My understanding is Celebrity on demand programming isn't that great compared to Princess who has a lot of movie and TV show options. I'm also assuming any OBC not spent on services could be spent on stores onboard?
  20. We were able to book our boarding time a couple of days ago for an October cruise. I think generally it's 45 days out.
