  1. There aren't any. Carnival no longer has an onboard cruise desk. You will receive a Welcome Home offer in your VIFP account.
  2. Hey, we have REAL problems today having just disembarked! Enjoy your cruise!
  3. There are numerous portholes where it's a single bed plus a Pullman/sofa.
  4. Slacker! 😉
  5. 1:30p is pretty close to clockwork for room access. If you made me approximate an average luggage arrival I'd say around 4p with pretty wide swings mostly attributable to the cruise type..... 3 night weekender, early; Journeys (with Rose Dawson bringing her 20 steamer trunks), later.
  6. We're carrying off in a couple days and picked a 10-10:20a slot on the App an hour ago. It's totally analogous to how one picks your arrival slot. Our flight isn't until late afternoon so we have time to kill. All good.
  7. I sure hope HMC's charm isn't lost with the expansion and pier. We'll see. Color me pessimistic.
  8. Absolutely correct. And the offerings inside Texas waters are somewhat limited. Carnival has made the decision not to deal w/ Cheers because of the legal requirements. Don't like it? Your problem, not their's.
  9. One of the three Carnival ships is designed to park at the convention center lot ONLY, served by bus.
  10. So we're on Venezia right now. As @mz-sindicated, there was a fair amount of 'wire wheeling' but the conversation they did do was good. She's got enough Carnival features while still offering something different. I can't speak to Luminosa.
  11. You need to make the request with the hostess at the entrance. There's not a way on the App.
  12. Fantastic plan! There's plenty of time as applications are turning around much faster these days.
  13. I'm no expert but that main channel won't be still blocked by July. Too much $$$ at stake.
  14. There is a period of time when the new folios are loaded and the computer is completely down. You won't be able to buy a drink and you shouldn't attempt to activate your shipboard WiFi. If you try too often, you'll be standing at GS getting a new S&S card and account. Don't ask how I know.
  15. Roll your items individually and tightly. I typically put big items (like a pair of jeans) in the bag first to fill the bottom.
  16. First morning after embarkation is fine. Do note that turnaround will be 24 hours minimum on any cruise with high Plat passengers. I've seen it at 48 -72 hours on Journeys. So have enough underwear!
  17. I agree with @mz-s. Cruising as an industry is changing with big ships going to a few tightly controlled ports becoming the norm for the 3-4 big mass market lines. I think the belief is that such a strategy vastly increases the potential customer base. Other lines will continue to serve the traveler market.
  18. There are pros and cons. Biggest pros are typically more exotic ports and a more mature passenger manifest. Cons are often a much older ship (Conquest, for example) a very homogeneous pax cruise style (MDR is totally jammed at 5:30) and a lot of scooters. I love getting away for 14 nights. In my personal opinion, unless rare ports are part of the cruise, a B2B is a better idea. On our recent Journey we got to Dominica and Grenada so it was worth it.
  19. The guys over in Cadiz just said 'What? You need another one?' 🤯
  20. I would think your 'late August' date will be as good as any in the summer. Many schools nationwide are back in session by then.
  21. She's reportedly heading to Freeport. After that?
