Thanks for the correction from you and others. Swear I saw some on Rotterdam last year.. Azamara and Scenic gave us nice card holders with card that would also hold some currency, ID and credit card.

@marshhawk Quite a few folks use a lanyard to hold room key. Go to Guest Relations and they will punch a hole in your key so you can attach to lanyard. If you carry a phone around many have an attached card holder on the back. We use the Navigator App a lot so our phones are always with us. Plus we can text each other when separated.

We have a front loader in a small laundry room. We just keep door slightly ajar when not in use and do a washing machine cleaning cycle once per month. No moldy smell. Tip, these new efficient washing machines only require a tiny amount of detergent. We learned the hard way the first time and had soap suds pouring out!

Good morning! Up early. I’m pretty well stuck at home today as this morning our semi annual heating and air conditioning inspection is scheduled anywhere between eight and eleven. Then there is a case of wine being delivered from Napa that I’m required to sign for. So will shower early, start some laundry and wait. It’s currently in low seventies and the severe weather has been North of us. Prayers for those who have been affected by them and those in the path of these still active weather disturbances. Have been to Quebec City many times as a child and as a cruiser. We have done five repositioning cruises, one from Florida and the rest from Canada to Florida. We are booked to do it again in October 2024 on the MS Volendam. The Volendam being our first BHB in Alaska in 2007. Almost 500 days sailing with Hal and it’s still exciting and our passion. As we have branched off and started cruising with Azamara the Cruise Critic experience is really different or should I say slow. Roll Calls are low key and some days the main CC page goes a day with hardly if any post. With only 680 passengers it’s understandable but different. Thanks Sandi for getting the Daily up and running and to all have a wonderful and safe week. Bruce

Spent 14 days on Rotterdam last year in an Aft Verandha and didn’t get the sensation described but I agree that there are areas on Pinnacle Class ships that feel overcrowded to me.

Back from church an I’m amazed at how many can recall initial dates etc. Sandi I hope your safe as I just received news update that a tornado had destroyed some homes in Georgia this morning. Yesterday I made spaghetti and meatballs and brought a plate to my neighbor whose wife is away. His wife bought him some TV dinners to get him through her two week absence. I believe he would have trouble boiling water and his wife hates to cook so he is very appreciative when we invite them for dinner. Tonight will be a nice thick NY Strip Steak. Hoping I’ll be able to cook on grill as rain is in the forecast. Disclaimer: There are many MeMe’s that I see that I feel would be inappropriate to post on the Daily.
