  2. We recently booked a Baltic cruise and have also been researching meal options, mostly for lunch but many establishments on this list also serve dinner. 3. https://gunwharf-executive-travel.co.uk/ - Southampton based or Eddie Manning's https://www.limo.co.uk/ (London based) . Both provide professional, excellent service
  4. this is good to know for the future
  5. We have used Luggage Free and were very pleased with their service. When Heathrow was having luggage issues last summer and fall, we had the peace of mind in knowing our item would arrive. We also place apple air tags in both all carry on and checked pieces. I was able to track in real time and it was great,
  6. We live in the east bay and there are definitely parts of SF I would not frequent. Some of the safer areas are around Lombard Street. There are several reasonably priced hotels near or on Lombard Street and accessible to all the attractions. One place to look at is "The Cow Hollow Inn" https://cowhollowmotorinn.com/ Also, check out these properties in The Presidio, a very safe neighborhood. We have had friends who stayed there and enjoyed it. https://www.presidiolodging.com/
  7. the agent mentioned they were also experiencing phone issues. They called me back within 5 minutes after my initial call
  8. I tried 15 minutes ago and it worked. I now have full access and can amend my profile and add preferences. If you have time I recommend calling them, they were helpful
  9. I had the same issues this morning. It took almost 3 hours for their system to email me a password reset. I was finally able to log in but it required an activation. After waiting 45 minutes for that email, I called them and one of the customer service representatives was able to manually activate my account. Though she added it would take 2-3 hours for the system to update. Seems a bit clunky to me. I used chrome and firefox on their site
  10. When we flew into Heathrow last fall, we had to go through customs and then another security check, the lines moved quickly. Transit times are dependent on when you arrive- we transited through between 11am-12noon and then waited for our connecting flight. Regarding checked luggage, if both flights are purchased on the same confirmation #, in most instances you will not need to retrieve your bags and recheck them- but it's always a good idea to check with your airline. For this trip we had no checked luggage as we shipped it to our hotel in Rome in advance.
  11. I have organized 2 Meet & Greets on Riviera, there was no charge and name tags were not made, though an area was reserved in The Horizons lounge and they put out some light snacks (all beverages were "each pay own". Another cruiser who had experience with this gave me the name of the person who would set this up in advance. I posted a message in our Roll Call, asking for people to sign up and to provide (first and last name, # of guests attending, CC handle, cabin number and hometown)- I would post the list for others in the roll call to view and for confidentiality I would list only: first names, # of guests, CC handle and hometown). For the Oceania contact, I included First and Last Names, cabin number, hometown and CC handle. At the time we scheduled this for departure day at 5pm in Horizons but you may want to ask others in your call what is preferred. As our cruise was the 2nd leg of a longer trip, the deadline for submitting names was the day the earlier trip sailed.
  12. I was scrolling through Oceania's website and reviewing our cruise's itinerary and available cabins when I noticed the cabin we had booked was now showing as available. I sent the information to our TA and she will contact them tomorrow. Does anyone have experience with this? Luckily the cruise is not sold out. How does this happen and who is not paying attention? Thanks, Leta
  13. I am both gluten and lactose intolerant and Oceania does a wonderful job in accommodating any dietary requirements. First, contact your TA or Oceania directly and let them know- this will be added to your profile. When you get on board, there will be a letter from the Chef/Dining Room Manager? requesting that you contact them to discuss. On our cruise last September, while we were having lunch, the Dining Room Manager approached us and asked me to contact him at my convenience to review my dietary needs. I was given a menu every evening, requesting that I make my dinner selections for the next day and bring it to the Dining Desk by 10am the following day- worked out great. I also travel with these cards, available in multiple languages- I make my own template, add the foods to avoid and distribute them to restaurants. I gave these cards to the Oceania Dining Room Manager and he appreciated it. https://equaleats.com/
  14. Hello, My husband and I are considering either the Silver Muse or Nova for a 2025 Alaskan Glacier cruise. Our past several cruises have been on Oceania and we are seeking an itinerary that focuses on the Glaciers and other ports (not necessarily the Inside Passage) as we've already done this. Can anyone advise when Silversea typically posts their next year's schedules? I have reached out to our TA to let her know to keep an eye out. I've scrolled through this forum and have not been able to find an answer- it relates to cabin location and motion. If we select a Classic or Superior cabin located at the front of the ship, how much motion is there. I am not extremely sensitive to motion, but it can sometimes bother me. We typically sail in mid or mid-aft locations. We may need to select a higher cabin category if the motion is bothersome. Thank you, Leta
  15. Is anyone experiencing difficulties using the pricing tool to research dates? Trying to do research on a 20/5 Alaska trip and keep getting errors thanks
  16. I've gotten "access denied" messages in the past. In researching this, it is not a website issue, but related to your browser. You will need to flush your browser cache here is a website to fix the problem across multiple browsers https://softwarekeep.com/help-center/fix-access-denied-you-dont-have-permission-to-access-on-this-server-on-windows-10
