  1. easy to find a test in many pharmacies but if you want to reserve a test in advance and not wait in line, book this https://thetourguy.com/tours/rome/rome-covid-test#
  2. The online tourist guide of Barcelona has been publishing, with updates all of the resources for scheduling covid tests. We have been following the information provided. In the end we contacted the hotel we are staying at, post cruise and they referred us to their testing partner who will come to the hotel and administer the tests. This was scheduled before the US decided that a covid test was no longer required before flying back to the US. We have not cancelled, just in case. https://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/covid/covid-test-in-barcelona.html https://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/barcelona/covid/test/pcr-test/schblt-clinic-in-sagrada-familia-barcelona-01.html
  3. The form is only needed if arriving by air. We called the Health Ministry and they confirmed this. Buried in all the text on their website is this: Passengers from 12 years of age, who arrive in Spain by SEA from countries that DO NOT belong to the European Union or are NOT considered Schengen associated countries must be in possession of one of the required health certificates (vaccination, recovery or diagnostic test), whether it is an EU CCD/EU Equivalent or another type, without being required to complete a health control form. https://www.sanidad.gob.es/en/profesionales/saludPublica/ccayes/alertasActual/nCov/spth.htm We continue to monitor if the situation changes before our trip
  4. depending on the date needed, and if you can schedule Monday-Saturday, this is a good option. We are using them in Rome. https://thetourguy.com/tours/venice/venice-covid-test
  5. Arriving 4 days in advance. Shipping 1 large piece of luggage to hotel and bringing only carry-ons. Since British Airways has already changed our flights from the US 3 times, we decided to opt for a long layover in London (8 hours). In "normal" times we would never plan such a long wait time. For the trip back we have a 5 hour layover. In case our flight from London to Rome is cancelled, we are prepared to stay 1 night at a hotel near Heathrow- booked it yesterday as I'm reading that hotels near the airport are filling up. We're not travelling until the end of September so we are hoping these issues ease up by then.
  6. sorry they were not available. I see this location does not schedule on Sundays, though I think Rome still does. We emailed the hotel concierge and they directed us to a partner service that will come to the hotel - again, this was before the US eliminated testing for return to the US but we haven't cancelled yet in case there is another surge. We also ordered home proctored tests as backup.
  7. This is the British Airways page where you can input your: passport, flight dates, and departure and destination cities and it will tell you what's required https://apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions?affiliateId=ba&language=en-GB
  8. https://thetourguy.com/tours/venice/venice-covid-test before Oceania changed their boarding requirements, we scheduled these for our family. This is a quick, antigen results with results in English. Highly recommend
  9. We were just talking about doing this today. Also transiting through London from the US and onto Italy. We have friends who have used both. We are shipping items to the hotel we are staying at in Rome before starting our cruise. https://www.luggagefree.com/ and https://www.shipgo.com/
  10. https://www.oceaniacruises.com/health For cruises departing on August 1, 2022 and after, Oceania will no longer require proof of a negative COVID test. The exceptions are cruises embarking from Greece and Canada and sailings to Bermuda.
  11. Spain's Ministry of Health lists conflicting information regarding arrivals. Buried deep in all the text it says that travelers arriving by sea, even from a non-EU country do not need to complete a SPH. As others have mentioned, the current form only provides the option to arrive by air. Passengers from 12 years of age, who arrive in Spain by SEA from countries that DO NOT belong to the European Union or are NOT considered Schengen associated countries must be in possession of one of the required health certificates (vaccination, recovery or diagnostic test), whether it is an EU CCD/EU Equivalent or another type, without being required to complete a health control form. https://www.sanidad.gob.es/en/profesionales/saludPublica/ccayes/alertasActual/nCov/spth.htm To obtain a definitive answer, I called the Ministry of Health yesterday - they have customer service agents who can assist in English and she confirmed that cruise passengers no longer need to fill in the health form. I suggested they update the website when possible, and she said "they were working on it".
  12. For T-mobile users, their recent plan upgrades give you 5g of high speed international service. We still plan on purchasing an extra plan. As others have said, it just works and we like being able to use our own phones and numbers
  13. The Tour Guy in Rome has an online reservation service, the tests are done in a pharmacy- we booked 2 of these. Another good thing, they are open 7 days a week https://thetourguy.com/tours/rome/rome-covid-test#
  14. For anyone questioning if tourists arriving by cruise ship are required to complete the SPH form, the answer is NO. With all the conflicting info on the Ministry of Health's website, I decided to call them this morning. Spoke with someone in English and she confirmed that only passengers arriving by air now need to complete and submit the form. I suggested they update their website and she replied they are "working on it". Was impressed how quickly they answered the phone and answered my questions.
  15. Issue Solved- I decided to call the Ministry of Health, spoke with someone in English and she confirmed that travelers arriving by cruise ship ARE NOT REQUIRED to complete the health form. I suggested that the office might consider updating their website and she said they were "working on it"
  16. we arrive by cruise ship, the Health Ministry website lists contradictory info though in one paragraph it does mention that tourists over the age of 12 arriving by sea and can show proof of vaccination do not need to complete the form. The form in its' current version does not have an option for sea arrivals as they did 6 months ago- a bit confusing
  17. We are arriving in Barcelona via cruise ship and flying out 3 days later. I see information about flying into Spain, but not arriving via ship. Is the Health form still required for arriving cruise passengers. The website and informational pages appear to have conflicting information. We are from the US, fully vaccinated with two boosters each. Thank you
  18. Thank you for this recommendation- we just booked them for late summer.
