  1. There are sloppy agents at every airline.
  2. Because of PPBM (Positive Passenger Bag Match) which is required on every international flight, if you fail to board a flight on which you have checked baggage, those bags must be removed before the plane takes off, or the passenger must be found and boarded. So, if there's a delay on your international flight, sometimes you may want to blame a fellow passenger who failed to board, because it can take a long time to find and offload that bag.
  3. This information is found on DL's webpage. Your bag won't fit and is clearly too big for a carry-on. Individual length, width and height measurements may not exceed 22” x 14” x 9” (56 cm x 35 cm x 23 cm) respectively These measurements include any handles or wheels.
  4. Agree, it's probably not yet ticketed. You can try calling AA and asking them. I did go to their webpage and read about their air program and found this interesting, in light of the frequent advice to "just call the cruise line if you have any problems while traveling." I helped a large party this summer, who had a flight canceled and needed to be rebooked for a cruise. They stated they called NCL and the agent hung up on them and didn't help. You don't have to advise the agent where you purchased your ticket. We can see that right on your ticket. Flight Assistance While Traveling En-Route (Pre and Post Cruise)In the event that your flight is changed or cancelled by the airline due to mechanical, inclement weather, strikes or any other involuntary reason, you should immediately advise an airline representative at the airport that you are a guest of Norwegian Cruise Line, and you are on your way to join a cruise. In most circumstances, the airline can arrange alternative flights at the airline counter, so you can get to the ship or the hotel destination.
  5. Seems pretty drastic to arrest someone.
  6. They will tag your bags to your final destination, hold them, then load them on your next flight. I don’t know if AA will allow you to short check your bags. I would add that asking for your bag to be retrieved at your connecting city if it’s tagged through is not an easy process, and can take hours.
  7. Ha ha! You don't have to name the airline! Most agents I know go above and beyond to help pax get on their way. There is not some evil conspiracy against customers.
  8. I work for a major airline. I see so much incorrect information posted on this board. If most posters knew how much many of the front line workers cared, and how hard we work to fix things for passengers during irrops, they would be ashamed of their complaints. We bend over backward to try and find a solution. And, many problems pax have they created themselves, (not showing up at the correct airport, not arriving on time for their flight, failing to pick up their bags and recheck after an international flight, etc.). We have no input into an airline's operations, we just clean up the mess and try to do it with a smile on our face. Give us some credit once in a while. I think in the last ten days I worked, two people told me "thank you." Maybe treat the customer service agent like a human being once in a while, instead of your enemy.
  9. Honestly? How you "feel" has nothing to do with reality. What sense does it make that airlines "couldn't care less" if you make your connection. Do you think it's a wise use of company resources to have employees spend hours rebooking passengers that miss their flights as if they have nothing else to do but "diddle around" because you didn't make your connection? What's the upside for that? Your post is absolute nonsense.
  10. https://www.southwest.com/help/baggage/checked-baggage Why would you believe what “someone says” over the airline’s own webpage?
  11. I guess I haven't caught a ride on this magical unicorn airline.
  12. Where I work, you can’t make a cart request; there’s no way to add this to your reservation.
  13. If you don’t insist on DL, both JetBlue, Spirit and AA have much cheaper flights for these dates.
  14. How do you request a cart? I know where I work, you can only have a wheelchair request in your record. I don’t know how it works @ ATL.
  15. Yes, I am aware of this. Just wondering which One OP had in mind.
  16. BA and UA aren’t in the same alliance. If you chose this set, where will you book it?
  17. UA is not responsible for your delays in Passport Control/Customs. Any airline status does not help you through those lines. That said, if you miss your connection, you will be rebooked on the next flight with available seats to ASE, but be aware there are just a couple nonstops and not that many flights there even with connections. Suggest if you do not have Global Entry, put Mobile Passport Control on your phone if you are eligible to use it: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/mobile-passport-control#:~:text=Mobile Passport Control (MPC) allows eligible travelers to,passport control inspection time and overall wait time. Those lines are usually much, much faster because most people have never hear of MPC. And, keep in mind it's a long, long time until June. It would be surprising if your schedule didn't change again before then.
  18. I would only add don’t forget that at JFK, you will need time to reclear security after dropping your bags off for your next flight. If they tell you in ATH you don’t need to pick up your bags at JFK because they are tagged through to ABQ, don’t believe them. I hear this all the time.
  19. Don't know your exact dates, but you should look at Spirit. I wouldn't recommend them for many reasons, but it's a fairly short flight. They have some pretty low fares for your routing in early March.
  20. Is this for a April 2-9 2023 cruise? Easter is April 9th this year, so there won't be any bargains. I see prices on DL for around $538 RT. Try changing your dates or departure/arrival city to see if you can find something cheaper.
  21. I know this is old, but posting for info. A Chase Explorer card, which seems to be the most popular UA branded card, gets the PRIMARY card holder and one companion (on the same booking) one bag each. The card must have been used to purchase the ticket on United.com, and it must be a UA operated flight. So, only two free bags total. If you book with your card and you are not the primary card holder, no free bag. If the primary card holder buys you the ticket using their card and they aren't traveling, no free bag.
  22. Honestly, the food is pretty terrible in Polaris, so don’t use that to make your decision. I would also chose business on the outbound and eat in the Polaris Lounge (which is very nice) and skip the meal on the plane. I’d rather have the lie flat seat to sleep on the way over.
  23. There is a big difference between Polaris and Premium Plus. You’d have to decide what you prefer: https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly/travel/onboard-experience.html
