  1. Thank you. I am now going to see if I can figure out who might have chartered the ship for all of those March dates. Although I don’t have a lot of hope because they are likely to be Japanese organizations that did the charter. But still if I could find even one, that would help me understand what is going on. I’m not usually a person who panics or always sees gloom and doom, but this has me nervous. When I touched base with a celebrity booking agent today, she said, “I don’t think you’ll be sailing on that cruise” so time will tell……
  2. I have had a similar situation in France. There only interior bars could serve liquor….no pool bar or sunset bar could
  3. No, The ticket contract clearly states that they have the right to change any aspect of the cruise including departure point, ports, and arrival point
  4. The base price might be the same but then don’t you have to pay state sales tax on top of that? There would be no state sales tax if you buy it on the ship
  5. Because this gets asked so often I've compiled a list of things to spend OBC on. The only thing I know of now that you CAN'T buy with OBC is a deposit on a Future Cruise. You need a credit card for that. Also, there may be some card game in the casino with a cash only buy-in. If they do a fundraiser, like selling t-shirts to “save the reefs” and the like, expect to need cash for that. Otherwise, here you go: *Acupuncture *Airport transfers *Alcove Rental (some ships) *Apple products etc. and Ilounge classes *Art Auction Purchases *Babysitting *Barber Shop services *Behind the Scenes Tours *Beverages -- Alcoholic, carbonated soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, bottled water — if not in your package, also beverages above your package limits *Bingo and Deal or No Deal *Bottles of wine *Casino *Chef’s Table *Corkage charged if you bring your own bottles of wine to the MDR *Duty free liquor and cigarettes *Extra cost entrees and other items in Main Dining Room and specialty restaurants *Extend Your Stay program *Fitness classes *Flowers *Gelato *Gift shop souvenirs, purses, watches, cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, etc. *Gratuities, and extra gratuities *Guests dining with you in Luminae (applies to Suite Passengers only) *Guest entertainers' CD's and DVD's *Hair and nail salon *Hollywood hot glass experiences (some ships) *Internet if not in your package, also Internet upcharges *Laundry/pressing/drycleaning *Liquor Tasting events *Luggage Valet *Martini Flights *Medical Center purchases *Mini bar *Portrait photo sessions *Pay-per-view movies *Persian Gardens passes *Personal Training Sessions *Photos & cameras *Room service up charge items, and late night delivery fee *Ryde spinning classes *Shore Excursions *Shuttle to town (some ports) *Spa -- massages and treatments *Specialty restaurants *Teeth Whitening *Telephone calls using ship's system *Transfer to another passenger's account *Voyage in Review DVD *Wine and liquor tastings *Zumba
  6. My April 9 cruise is now showing as “red” to the booking agents I just spoke to today on Equinox. They said that means “charter”. Did all of the March cruises and the cruise are now chartered. I would feel a lot better if one of our knowledgeable Cruise Critic travel agents could do a little research into this please.
  7. The only reason that I know that it’s a good idea to have your luggage tags attached ahead of time is on the off chance that you’ve become separated from your luggage they know which ship you’re going it should be going to
  8. Is it possible to get this thread back to the topic of power up points? There is a lot of thread drift going on and anyone who wants to learn about power up points would appreciate staying on topic if possible
  9. ShelleyL, In asking for a “Compass” and “theme night” I think you are thinking of some line other than Celebrity.
  10. There are parts of Los Angeles and Miami that aren’t safe at all as well. Just sayin’
  11. Yes, juice is included at breakfast in the MDR. I have never tried to order juice at lunch or dinner in the MDR so I don’t know about those meals. I am pretty sure you can get lemonade for no extra charge of in the MdR at lunch and dinner — the same lemonade that is served from the dispensers in the buffet.
  12. About two weeks ago I had to go to office to meet with someone who said, please have a seat. I said, no — those chairs are too uncomfortable and I don’t think I can stand up after sitting in one because they are so low. He said. Went back today, there are new chairs. Wish Celebrity would do the same!
  13. Santorini has a dock and sometimes it is used to drop people off to start shore excursions.
  14. The mast Grill should be open. once in a while the Sushi place is open. other specialty restaurants, no. this is on M and S class ships. What you might find on an e class ship, I don’t know
  15. Infinite verandas have windows that can open. Sunset verandahs have balconies Porthole verandahs have balconies that are set in the hull like this
  16. Sorry I don’t know which ship this was but this is one of the forward facing cabins. And here was my view of a helicopter evacuation
  17. The ocean view forward facing cabins have more square footage, but no more furniture than any other ocean view room. The window is at a slant and if you walk toward it to check out the view of the helipad, as noted, beware of bumping your head. You might be asked to keep the curtains across the window at night so light coming from your room doesn’t interfere with the bridge. If you have a choice, choose the deck eight rooms rather than the deck seven rooms. The deck seven rooms are above the exterior door leading to the crew recreation area and the helipad. You may hear noise when that door slams shut
  18. Follow up. I just went to an upcoming reservation for which I have select dining, and it now has a checkbox for accepting the terms and conditions. I looked at the terms and conditions and this is what is there. I don’t remember ever seen such a thing before for select dining
  19. I just saw this in another thread. I haven’t seen it mentioned before. Has anyone gotten this message? Does it refer only to select dining no-shows or for fixed dining no-shows or is it a total mistake? What is going on? I assume that the poster meant that they had not encountered this on previous cruises.
  20. You need to make a phone call to do this. The website portal is not functioning at this time. Call Celebrity captains club
