I am on board now and a/c in all public areas is working fine. My stateroom as well. Can’t comment about anyone else’s stateroom of course……

I don’t drink martinis so I can’t help with that. The dining room tonight was no slower than any other cruise I have been on, which is to say, allow two hours for dinner. The food was very good. I had the steak from the children’s menu and it was tender. Most everyone else at my table had the jerk chicken and enjoyed it. Really it was no different than any other cruise. This was the six o’clock traditional seating,

Last week I went to lunch with a large group of friends. The restaurant made it clear that a mandatory gratuity would be charged. It happens. When I get my hair done on Celebrity, a mandatory gratuity is added to the bill. It happens. I don’t like it, but that’s what I have to pay and I understand it.

Not just Celebrity, that happens on many ships. Keeping them crisp and fresh is nearly impossible at sea.

I will let you know about the dining room. Lunch today was at buffet……plenty of seating….self-serve as I expected it to be.

My A/C is working just fine. Room is spotless. The decor is the older style but that is ok by me. I give the room an A.

I don’t think I have ever been first on board before but I was this morning, and was actually at my room by 11 AM. I will pass over night night in an indifferent Sheraton four points hotel in Fort Lauderdale and start with the cruise report. I was met by three familiar crew members, great to see them. One is Jaz, an experienced Activities Host, known from past cruises. please ask any questions and I will attempt to find answers as the week goes on.

Tired or tiered, either way….. There once was a time when a part of the sky lounge was reserved for elite and above Captains Club members between five and seven. This is no longer the case. So there is no dedicated bar for Captains Club.

That works on some Celebrity ships but not all. It does not work on Reflection, for one.

No smoking anywhere inside on Celebrity. Princess allows some smoking inside.

Probably not and if they do have any they would be older models.

But the vast majority of those items are caught and confiscated. Have a look at the table full of them waiting to be claimed as you disembark the next cruise.
