  1. Don’t count the sail date. Thursday for a Saturday departure is fine. Keep checking the Celebrity website for instructions because this is an ever-changing situation.
  2. You check by doing a mock booking. Better still you communicate with your travel agent.
  3. The OP recognizes that she can’t do what needs to be done in order to cruise and has hired someone to help with technology, and also arranged for hiring a Nurse to perform the needed tests. It is apparently not her first cruise, but perhaps first since the start up. In any case, you can tell that anxiety has set in. I feel for her, since I know people for whom anxiety easily accelerates into panic. I hope she will read all of the responses to all of her threads, and be able to act on them.
  4. The Celebrity elite happy hour does not take place on embarkation day. On the other days of the cruise, between five and seven, you may order a drink from the happy hour menu at nearly any bar on the ship.
  5. Not necessarily so. For most cruises, single cruisers pay double and the gratuity is paid out accordingly. (Lately a few cruises have been bookable as a single without paying double, but this is new and no one knows if it will continue)
  6. There are four Boston round trips. August 31, September 11, September 21, and October 3. The September 21 and October 3 are currently showing sold out.
  7. When Cruising started up again, there was an effort to keep servers from touching peoples cards. They might glance at the card, or they might ask for your room number. Recently, I have seen some servers actually take the card over to the point-of-sale machine, some have just asked for room numbers, and others have asked to see the card, so anything is possible. While the app works for many things, it doesn’t replace your card. It won’t work for getting on and off the ship at a port, for example. And fairly often I experience times when the app simply went down and was inaccessible. You would need your card to get in your room if that happened to you.
  8. Yes you need a backup plan or you won’t be cruising
  9. in another thread the OP said the cruise is in one month. Must be Summit out of Boston
  10. If I understand the OPC question correctly it is how does one prove that you have a drink package. At boarding day, you should see the correct code on your boarding pass which you can view on the app. When you get on the ship, the code will be on your SeaPass card. Look for CALL or PALL, classic and premium. If you do not have the code on your card, go to guest relations and they will either print you a new card or they will apply a sticker to your card showing your beverage package. At that point, all you need to do is show the card to a server. At that point, all you need to do is show the card to a server. Or give the server your room number. They can access the information and they will know which package you have even without showing the card.
  11. You are never out of place when you dress up on chic night and you will not be the only one.
  12. If there’s no availability, then there’s no availability. There won’t be any “move up” in that situation
  13. Please keep on top of Celebrity’s requirements in its webpage. It’s an ever changing situation but right now a proctored antigen test the day before fulfills the requirements.

  15. Maybe this is so on some cruise lines but not on Celebrity where there is no restriction regarding using Shareholder OBC for crew gratuities.
  16. Be sure to stay on top of the pre-cruise test requirement. get a printout of your test results and be sure to bring it with you.
  17. I can see you are stressed about this. As stated in your other thread , they have people at the pier. Do not fret. Staff there will get you checked in. show them your passport, your test results (from a monitored test) and your vaccination card and they will do the rest.
  18. Yes they have people at the pier. Do not fret. Staff there will get you checked in. show them your passport, your test results (from a monitored test) and your vaccination card and they will do the rest.
  19. There is confusion on this matter. Currently two different parts of the Celebrity website say two different things. It’s unclear to me if the change to two bottles per person was an error or if that is correct but they just haven’t updated the part where it says two bottles per state room. One poster here on Cruise Critic wrote that they had taken two bottles per person and were called to the naughty room. When they showed the regulations to the staff at guest relations, it was news to them that anything had changed. This makes me suspicious that the two per person was a typo of some sort. But you won’t know until you try.
  20. You need the test and you need to download the ArriveCAN app. If you are having trouble with other aspects of the check in, they will definitely take care of it at the port for you.
  21. Not available in Florida at this time. If the Luggage Valet programs returns you’ll see it announced here for sure.
  22. I have been told by both future cruise staff and by Captains Club staff that even though I am in the “no single supplement” promotion I will get double Captain’s Club staff. I hope they are correct.
