  1. Your first-timer companion can accompany you to the elite breakfast. But he or she will not get other perks, such as Wi-Fi discounts, free Wi-Fi, happy hour drinks, Café al Bacio drinks, specialty dining discounts
  2. Earliest disembark time is liable to be 7 AM. Then there’s the travel time to the airport and you should allow at least an hour. If it’s an international flight, they ask you to be at the airport three hours ahead of time. I wouldn’t look at any flight earlier than noon.
  3. The description provided is often slightly incorrect, but will be altered closer to the cruise. I was looking at an excursion in Hong Kong, which included viewing the fireworks. For months it said it would depart at 9:30 AM. I booked it and eventually received an email that the time had been changed to an evening departure. Duh. The time of the tour you were looking at will be adjusted eventually
  4. Mark46, Where are you coming from?
  5. Generally, you cannot send laundry out toward the end of the cruise, usually the last three days of the cruise. And most stewards ask that you not send it on the first day when you are unpacking. You could send it out the next morning and you should figure on a 48 hour turnaround time. You might be pleasantly surprised and get it faster, but don’t set yourself up for disappointment if it takes all of the 48 hours or more.
  6. There will probably be two, as you suspect. But no one will know until it happens so throw in an extra if you have the room
  7. Public persona, The OP does not plan to self disembark
  8. If you don’t trust the water on the ship, don’t order soup, or poached, eggs, or anything with ice, or any drink in a dispenser, or coffee, or tea,….
  9. OK, this might, might work. Switch the two male passengers. Put your father in the quad and you go in the double with your mother. then both parents are no-shows and you have kept both rooms. That’s if the TA will do it .
  10. It’s not so much of an upgrade, more of a down price. you book the category you want and they give you the price of the lesser category. However, there must be at least one state room available at that lesser category in order for them to know what the price is. since you are asking about concierge Class, you would book a C1 and be charged for a C2.
  11. There is an exception in the PVSA dealing with San Juan Repositioning
  12. generally no. You can always ask but don’t get your hopes up. no. One guest from the original booking must remain on any altered booking. Your TA is correct. again your TA is correct. One person from the original booking has to stay the same it is highly unlikely that this would work. You would be trying to change the parents’ double occupancy room to a triple occupancy room. They would re-price the room, for one thing. That room might not even be authorized to be a triple occupancy room, since not all rooms are. If they allow this, it would certainly cost you more money because they would not adjust the quad occupancy fare.
  13. They will keep your bottle of wine and Mark it with your room number, so no matter where you sit it will follow you
  14. According to the room steward on my last cruise, I was the only one in his section opting for go green. This his work load was reduced by approximately 15 minutes per day. He was still around if I needed anything. You are imagining things if you think that go green has suddenly gifted him a huge amount of time off.
  15. No scam. I do it every cruise and I get the points every cruise. Sometimes it takes a phone call, but I always get them. How is it a scam? They deliver what they promise.
  16. You might have it taken from you. Best to just get one from the room steward.
  17. This is not correct. PVSA covers all transport by sea from the US including ferries. It just treats closed loop cruise differently from open jaw cruises between two different US ports.
  18. The most environmentally, friendly, in that it creates the least waste, way to get water is to bring your own water jug and fill it from the tap. if you are at the dispensers in the oceanview Café, fill a glass with water and then transfer to your water jug so you don’t risk contaminating the spigot
  19. August schedules show 7 and 9pm. They could change for September but it’s unlikely.
