  1. I’m not reacting to the call for evening chic clothes . What I see that is out of place is the designation of “casual “ when everywhere else, in print and on website, Celebrity has two levels of dress code—evening chic and smart casual. I have a large group of friends, mostly newbies to celebrity, planning an upcoming junket and I am trying to give them guidance with regards to what to pack. The standard smart, casual dress code, specifies button down shirts, while the casual allows polo shirts. I am trying to find out if here on Constellation they have made an error, as tge staff on Reflection admitted that they did, or if this is a fleetwide policy change and I wonder if the “casual” has appeared on other Celebrity ships. since it is the exact wording used on royal Caribbean, is this a step in the “Royalization” or what?
  2. Not all drinks are complimentary in the Retreat… lots of recent posts about upcharges there….
  3. Might it not be the revenue department? Like the shops?
  4. They will undoubtedly say pretty much what you have read here —- adding outlets where there have been none is a very expensive procedure. Most passengers can make do with the extension cords they provide for your use.
  5. I have one running in my room right now I’m constellation—they bring me distilled water for it—- humidified air is good for my persistent nosebleeds but may not have helped in the OP’s case
  6. Reflection and Millennium aren’t tge sane kind of ship and really can’t be equated
  7. All Celebrity ships have both US and European sockets.(possibly not the Galapagos ships)
  8. If you are not, cruising until December, it is way too early to be worried about what time lunch is showing on the app schedule
  9. If it doesn’t have a cord and doesn’t have surge protection it is allowed
  10. I’m on Constellation right now. Last night I asked for 3 waters to take back to the room and received them. 💦
  11. The beverage package does not allow delivery of water to the room but you can stop at any bar and pick up bottles of water and carry them to yourself to your state room in unlimited quantities
  12. It is quite possible that every ship is different but at least on constellation happy hour does not work in café Al Bacio
  13. For the things which are important to you, holland America is a better fit for you. Enjoy your cruising there
  14. The issue of port fees is more complicated than it first appears. here is what guest relations explained to me. Port fees are constantly changing. But when you book a cruise, you are quoted a certain amount for port fees. In the intervening weeks and months, maybe the fees go up, maybe they go down, but you pay what you were quoted initially. if the ship misses a port, maybe your aggregate total fees for all the itinerary’s ports went down and you could get a refund. But maybe the total for all of the ports went up and you do not get a refund for the one you missed. but wait, there’s more. It also turns out that different nationalities are charged different port fees by certain destinations. But the quoted amount at booking is the same for all. so it is possible that Germans might not get a refund for a missed port but Dutch citizens would. On the very same cruise!
  15. Just pick their arrival time. Everything else is easily done at the terminal
  16. except that this has been in place for many many years already!
  17. Yes but is this now “the norm” and is there some recent change as the OP maintains?
  18. The next deployment announcements won’t come until November and December
  19. If you have a package, you can ask for unopened sodas at any bar. But without a package, you can get as many as you want in the retreat lounge, where you usually find a retreat host or a bartender on duty to assist you
