I believe a 16 year old can get a passport with just one parent.

I would think it would depend on the travel dates covered, did the insurance start on Disney day?

Lol I hate crowds too, I suggested we wait to go to the ship for our last cruise, my husband and kids were like no way (we live 20 minutes away and were just sitting around at 8:30 am at home).

We prefer to get there early, after we board we go to a MDR, have lunch, once we are done the cabins are usually available.

Always, we are a family of 7, 5 kids, connecting balconies, 1 cabin is the kids cabin (although 1 sleeps in ours). They can be messy.

I can see the permission slip but as his father and legal guardian he can make medical decisions for his child. I’ve filled out forms giving my mother permission to take my kids out of the country and permission to make medical decisions, she needed both forms once (the medical one here at home when I was away).

Been on NCL with celiac daughter, she ordered her breakfast and dinner every night the night before, and dinner wasn’t limited to the menu, they’d make whatever they could gluten free (tons of gf options) or she could pretty much order anything she wanted, and they’d make it. She usually called in the morning and had her breakfast brought to the buffet.

I’m pretty sure all of the lines are very good with food allergies, with special kitchens. They take them very seriously.

So folks should be able to cancel a cruise last minute by saying they don’t feel well? Considering the amount of people who faked getting vaccinated, I don’t trust people to be honest. It’s not like it’s easy to fill cruise cabins last minute like hotel rooms, there is a reason different types of vacations have different policies. Many people choose to decline the insurance that is always offered.

Of course one can book a land vacation with easier cancellation policies, but if I want to cruise I will just pay for the insurance, with their cut and dried cancellation policies. I also wouldn’t be thrilled if full refunds were given to those who didn’t spend the $ on insurance. I can take a cruise with my family of 7 for far less than a WDW vacation.

All cruise lines have the same refund policy I believe, at least all of the mass market ones.

Before Covid being sick, injured, or dead would not be covered without insurance. During Covid a positive test would get you a fcc. I have kids at 3 different universities, tons of colds, flu, strep, mono, bronchitis, stomach bugs, plus Covid going around. None of these illnesses would allow an uninsured passenger to get any refund.

It’s definitely doable but I don’t think you can bring any bags onto the intrepid.

I think the issue is that NCL couldn’t rebook without penalty until the flight was actually canceled by the airline. I just booked a flight for my daughter on United, basic economy, so no changes can be made. If I paid another $60 I could make changes.

I agree it’s strange, I don’t drink it but I was happy with the included drinks, even happier that I can bring all the wine I want since I used to pay corkage (love some drinks on the balcony).

NCL’s “premium” beverage package is still the lowest alcohol package, no matter what it is called.

I thought it was for mechanical reasons? Cruise lines do not give refunds for canceled ports, it happens too often.

They put out the fancy food for the travel agent folks during the first sailings.

It appears the OP is ill.

Most travel insurance will not kick in because you lost your ID, just CFAR which is expensive and doesn’t pay out 100%.

We are a family of 7 and we get 2 cabins, book tables for 8, and have to book excursions on each reservation.

There seem to be some posters who appear angry that folks like the NCL product and don’t care to sail celebrity, it’s a little odd at this point.
