  1. The “wave pool” desperately needs to become a Splashaway Bay.
  2. They’re just bringing in headliners right now. A juggler recently, I’ve read.
  3. It is roughly open 11:30-3 and 5-9 on sea days and 1-9 on port days.
  4. I read on Facebook that Tap Factory is ending. Is this true?
  5. You want the Resolutions Team. That’s who helped me.
  6. 3-4 night from Florida aren’t out. As for NOLA, very few cruises from any lines originate there. Royal usually has one older ship there for winter.
  7. I really don’t understand why it’s going to Bayonne. I’d only consider it in April for Spring Break.
  8. I actually thought We Will Rock You was a terrible musical (a common opinion of the show) but the music was still great! Just ignore the ridiculous plot, bad acting, and lack of chemistry between the current leads (I’m not sure the bad writing could be helped by better actors, though).
  9. Anyone can enter for breakfast or lunch. You need a reservation for dinner (but most items are free).
  10. Did you check the “make a payment” option? Should be more accurate. There have been a lot of issues with Black Friday 2023 deals messing up people’s balances so I wouldn’t be surprised if IT is setting all cruises to “paid in full” until they resolve the issue. I doubt they want people being mistakenly canceled. Give IT a few years to fix it.
  11. Right, because of lawsuits. They need to find a more compelling use for such an eye-catching structure.
  12. Odyssey is a bit funky. It’s Quantum class and largely built for the cold. But they removed the enclosed family pool. So it doesn’t really belong anywhere. It largely sails from Florida and the Med right now, where the outside family pools make sense but not really the multitude of indoor spaces and lack of large slides. Next, it will move to Cape Liberty, which also makes little sense. No enclosed family pool sailing from New York Metro in January? I don’t know where exactly Odyssey belongs. I’d probably send it to Los Angeles. Not as hot as Florida (usually) and not as cold as New York. But, it’s a bit of a strange design. And it has one of those giant, largely-unused oranges off the back…
  13. Such nonsense. I was able to get someone competent in resolutions to fix my Wonder sailing with a $1205 ghost balance but I made a $138 payment for the other sailing and suddenly see $138 due again (I presume the overpayment was refunded). Rude agent said he didn’t know what I was talking about seeing that and “not to worry.” Resolutions recommends waiting for it to magically resolve. Final payment is the 8th, so if it’s still there, I guess I’ll pay the $138 then to get past that deadline. It doesn’t seem like they cancel once a reservation “survives” that 90-day purge. So ridiculous. Have you received any emails since final payment about a payment being due?
  14. We have two cruises next year and booked a couple Black Friday deals through the Cruise Planner that I later canceled. The first cruise has its final payment date this weekend so yesterday, I get an email that I owe $137.50 or it’ll be canceled. It was paid off months ago. I come to notice the Cococay balloon ride I booked and then canceled was for exactly $137.50. Weird. When I load up the Cruise Planner, it says my cruises are paid off. But when I go to the “make a payment” page, it show a balance owing of $137.50. Further, one of my payments toward the cruise has been reduced by $137.50 over what I paid and see on the credit card statement. For my other cruise, I booked and later canceled excursions for a little over $1200. Cruise planner says cruise is paid off. “Make a payment” says I owe a little over $1200. It was paid off months ago. One payment was reduced by $1200 over what I actually paid. I reached out and they claim the system shows both paid off but then I asked for an invoice. They showed a payment due. Guy claims they’ll fix that on their end and send a new confirmation in a week. I guess we will see… Anyone experienced nonsense like this? Cruise Planner payments should never communicate with the actual booking payment system and yet they do. Why would they program the system in this way? Bizarre.
  15. For the coupons included with a sailing, are they per person or per cruise? Like, if you have four people and there are 2 coupons for 50% off coffee “per sailing”, do you get 2 for the room or 8 (2 for each person)? Trying to determine if the coffee card still makes sense for us. Thanks!
  16. We sailed this itinerary this past July and had a great time. It was foggy most of the time but the sun came out in Halifax. Honestly, we enjoyed the break from serious summer heat and my wife and I just sat in the hot tub while the kids swam and rode the slides. We’d do it again in a heartbeat. We took a quick trip to Peggy’s Cove and then enjoyed Halifax. Plenty to do within walking distance of the ship.
  17. Strange release strategy that you can book 7-night cruises from PC from August, 2025 onward but they didn’t release the Wonder sailings for May, June, July, and early August yet.
  18. Saved several hundred dollars on excursions over what I’d already paid. Really good discounts on Cococay excursions!
  19. You can’t stop building ships in this field and stay relevant. And at the fares the new ships command, they are worth building. Royal is certainly happy they built Icon.
  20. We also got one of the super cheap “we are desperate because we aren’t allowed to sail yet” Allure 2022 Europe cruises (after delaying Allure 2020 to Harmony 2021 to Allure 2022) and got upgraded to Wonder for free. Won’t be seeing that kind of fare for a long time, I don’t think!
  21. Now it’s simple economics. With this demand, why on earth would they increase service or decrease fares? Apparently, we’d pay $2k per person for a week whether they serve steak or chicken nuggets.
