  1. If we only have a 1 to 2.5 hr drive, we'll let them carry off the luggage and not stress it. More than we lug our own off so we can get right on the road for that long haul.
  2. The German Chocolate is my favorite. I hit that up everyday it's available. 2 slices on a dinner plate.
  3. I buy them for my cat sitter. I keep seeing the buy 3 get 1 free deals, but haven't found a clear answer what the cost would be if you declared them.
  4. He isn't read it again, he's thanking those offering that kind of help but declining it.
  5. We had the same problem last week, we were just about to walk out and they finally came taking our order. Thought all was fine but it took 30-45 for the omelets. Gave some song and dance that it's a process on why an omelet takes so long as we were ordering. That should have been our first clue things weren't improving.
  6. Hope you both feel better. This was my 5th cruise since restart. Last time I got sick after cruise was Feb. 2019 on Oasis.
  7. I couldn't complain about the bed (this time). But had to cancel a family stopover on the way home. Husband started with sore throat, sneezing, etc. And now it's my turn. Not covid, back to the cruise crud. His driving was miserable. I was lucky enough to not have it hit til we got home. Had to reschedule a doctor appt even though I tested negative. The FB group that I had joined had a fair share of colds, covid & flu, so not a surprise.
  8. I was on this same sailing and same experience at Cucina except for a very badly done version of Veal Marsala, lol. I could go on about the different things I experienced too, but this is your post, I'm just adding a little to it. After first day, elevator situation calmed down. Last morning, not so much. We were taking our own luggage off as were driving 1k miles home. Luckily we only had to carry our luggage only one flight to avoid the elevators. Would I sail her again? Yes, but I wouldn't make it a priority. Nothing major, just little jabs here and there. It is a very pretty ship and I'm sure others will have different experiences and/or opinions. I still have to complete my survey, dragging my feet since I know it's not going to be glowing.
  9. I'll be sailing this weekend. Thanks for the review, especially about the places to eat. Decisions, Decisions.
  10. And than we have those that blame it on "lazy people".
  11. Can't log in either, I wanted to print everything before the weekend. People are asking on FB, they are working on the problem.
  12. Why is everybody complaining about the taste? There is none, lol. But it sure does smell good. You smell that from the other end of the pool area. You grab a bag, take a bite, and nothing.
  13. Thanks. Just gets a bit nerve racking thinking just change the date, it's only 24 hours, lol.
  14. Guess I didn't add enough to my response. It says cancellation on that booking # even though it looks like a confirmation for new booking, the deposit amount changed to 0. I also have my new booking with a new number. It really is strange. The title of the email in the subject line does state cancellation on the old number along with several areas on the attached notice. The number no longer works on the webpage but the new one does. I just have to wait it out. Also getting stranger, twice last week the casino emailed me wanting the booking number info. Twice I gave the complete info about old and new, thanking them and letting them know the discount was applied to new booking and to let me know if they needed more info. I just don't get it. My new booking is correct online shows amount, OBC, etc.
  15. Was on her last September, but still love checking out your reviews.
  16. Glad you posted this, I was told that along with 1 or 2 billing cycles. I got a confirmation, it looks just like the booking confirmation when you open it, but all the lines say cancelled, 0 balance - $398 (or whatever paid). I had booked a cruise with my 30% discount and 5% , the 5 came off but the next day it was put back (this after submitting the info requested on reply email to casino) So I called to find out what was going on. It seems their system was not counting the 9 months the same as me, so the discount wouldn't work, they could get it to work on the next cruise one week before, so they cancelled the on cruise and replaced it with the working cruise. Different reasons, but it seriously makes me nervous, as it isn't a "real" cancellation.
  17. I'll be on this ship next May, I've never done Brooklyn terminal but it seems easy enough. I wasn't paying attention until I saw this post. Here is the link for the terminal https://nycruise.com/brooklyn-terminal/
  18. I was just on the Divina, my husband and I each ordered the surf & turf. We traded, so I had the surf and he had the turf. The waiter saw it and offered to give us more, but I was happy with the trade, so not necessary.
  19. That's great. This one that I was last talking with really went the extra mile to find out what was wrong and get it fixed for me. I just went for a balcony on deck 10. I gotta mind the budget since I'm cruising next month, and need to book something for the end of next summer.
  20. Everything is now as it should be, with more to add to this. So my cruise on the Divina was 8/21-8/28. I received certificate on 8/27 with the 9 month to book and sail. Ok, that's easy. I chose 5/21. The one I first spoke to this morning thought the system was down and told me to call back in an hour. No big deal, so I agreed. This time another woman looked at my notes and certificate and tried to fix it, but it wouldn't take. She took another look at my certificate and mentioned the 9 months and that I should be fine. Guess what, it wasn't. We tried another booking for a week earlier 5/14/23 and it worked. So we had to cancel my 5/21 and move it to 5/14. All is well, that's a Mother's Day cruise. Just can't figure out how MSC figures 9 months, lol.
  21. Well, just got off the phone. Apparently the first agent told me wrong. And my email went to never never land even though I replied to there's. The certificate # wasn't making sense to the agent just know, so she asked for an email # that I should have received when I sent it out yesterday. I had none. So I resent it again with the correct email. This time I got the auto reply with the #. So she got everything squared away, figured out the problem, tries to fix it and bam, the system is down, lol. I have to call back in an hour. All this should have been taken care of yesterday if I had an agent that knew the system. At least my questions are answered and thank you for your help. And hopefully it will be resolved when I call back.
  22. So the price was immediate after you called the casino? I do have the 200OBC for booking for Labor Day. I'm not worried about using a travel agent, maybe one of these days I'll try. I just want to make sure, things aren't being lost in the shuffle. I have the prices figured without portfees, etc. My calculator matched with what was on the MSC page when I booked, than the 5% for Voyagers disappeared and no 30% figured in, so that seems like a problem.
  23. I received the 30% certficate from Casino on my 8/21 cruise. I attempted to redeem yesterday morning. Before I call them or panic (never used one before), I thought I better ask you guys. I tried to search for answer, but nothing came up on how they actually worked. I called casino yesterday. I had a guy with a really strong Italian accent, but I managed to understand to email the certificate, which I did. Asking more questions was just not working to well. I tried to get timeframe info, etc, but got "I can't really say" as an answer from what I could understand. I received the email instructing me to only book and pay deposit, nothing else. I booked, added MSC Voyagers Club number, received that 5% discount, and paid my deposit. I received a receipt in the email for deposit. 2 hours later, I received the booking confirmation with all the info, but the 5% was missing. I went online to my account, and say the 5% was missing, no casino deal added, so it jumped from $1561.00 to 1620.00. Is this something the casino takes a couple days to take care of or do I need to call them now? Other cruise lines, I've called in and everything was done almost immediately.
  24. I had just redeemed a 30% that I got from my sailing last week. I really don't like how they are handling it. I emailed the certificate. They later replied and told me to book my cruise than send them the confirmation/booking number. I did just that. When I booked the cruise with the 200obc for Labor Day, the 5% came off and I paid only deposit (as instructed by casino). I got a receipt in the email for payment, but no details. My account shows correct. An hour later I received an email with the whole booking on PDF, but it's missing the 5% and nothing showing on the 30% yet, and my online acct shows the higher rate now, but the OBC is still there. So I guess I need to be patient. I hate the feeling of uncertainty with these bookings.
