  1. We filled out the form for our block to be shipped to home while on Quantum. Next day, block was in cabin. Will see if they ship one too.
  2. Not sure why you changed your quote to have me saying something I didn't say.
  3. What ship are you sailing? Suite benefits are very different if you are sailing a ship with Royal Suite Class.
  4. Refrigerators vary greatly by ship. Those on the older ships are just cooler boxes and do not keep things very cold. Those on newer ships, like Quantum class, keep things very cold, sometimes too cold as seen in the picture above. If you need to refrigerate medicine, you can request a medical refrigerator from the special needs department at least thirty days prior to your cruise. It will keep things cold at a constant temperature,
  5. If you can get switched to MTD, try to make reservations for the times you want. If you can't get switched before you sail, go to the MDR once you board and see what you can do. With over 4,000 passengers on the ship, there is likely to be a line, whether you have reservations or not. There is a dedicated line for reservations and one for no reservations.
  6. You would have to ask her. Only thing I saw that she was able to get was the upcharge filet and lobster tail that is on the menu in the MDR.
  7. You definitely have to do ArriveCan whether or not you are getting off the ship in the Canadian port.
  8. I understand your frustration, I also tested positive with covid on a recent sailing and communication is not good at all. If you have paid for a dining package that you can't use now, they should refund it. Specialty restaurants don't typically do room service and definitely wouldn't to the isolation cabins. I would keep at guest services and do not leave the ship until you have everything in writing in regards to promised refunds and further isolation reimbursement. I also asked for a copy of my PCR test, just in case I needed to get a certificate of recovery for future travel.
  9. The traditional seating times are 5:15 and 8, main seating and late seating, and there is not the flexibility to come two hours late for traditional dining. My Time Dining was from 6:45 to 9 on my sailing of Quantum. It is in the main dining room on deck 4 and allows you to book a time each night or just show up when you want. There can be a line to get in at times. It is the same food as is served in the traditional dining times. If you want MDR and want to choose different times, you are going to have see if you can change to my time dining.
  10. The dining times remained the same when we were on Quantum a few weeks ago. I would not expect them to be very flexible with the times as the ship is sailing at full capacity. I would look into switching to my time dining as that will give you the flexibility you are looking for. Very doubtful they will let you switch back and forth between main and late seating each night. Victoria is going to be an issue, no matter what dining you have. If you have an excursion, you might need to eat off ship or have a snack late afternoon as the WJ and MDR won't be open when you get to Victoria anyway at 4pm. Cafe Two70 and Sorrentos will be open though. We ate at Tracey's Crab Shack in Juneau, so that wasn't an issue for us. We were already back on the ship in Icy Strait Point, so dinner wasn't an issue there. Unless you are at a later excursion, there isn't too much at Icy Strait Point that would keep you off the ship too late.
  11. If you stay at the Marriott Waterfront, you can walk to the ship. View from our room.
  12. I noticed that too but I actually think it is the power going to the light. Their are three wires that support the lights but then there is also a power cable that is going down partially along one of the supports. I would want that power cable shortened and neatened up.
  13. Sure, you can just go to the website and do it. I didn't bring my laptop with me though, so it was easier to do on the app since I was already in the port city before I could get the QR code.
  14. We liked El Loco Fresh better than Mini Bites too. Mini Bites had potential but it hardly ever had any food available, even at breakfast.
  15. Correct, omelets used to be available at wipe out cafe but I am not sure if they are now that the venue has been changed to El Loco Fresh. When we sailed after the amp, we had access to Coastal Kitchen, so never checked El Loco Fresh out for breakfast.
  16. You can enter as much of the information as it will let you now, but it will not give you the QR code that you need until you are within the 72 hour window.
  17. We reached out to the concierge when we didn't hear from guest services and he made sure I got the documentation I needed before I was "extracted" from the ship by the US Department of Health. He also got me on the list for a transfer to my airport hotel and helped my DH off the ship with all our luggage.
  18. You can't believe everything you are told, even if it is someone you consider "knowledgeable". Those at the pier have final say as to who boards and who doesn't.
  19. Yay!! It is official, everyone in my house is now testing negative for covid! I was also surprised to receive an email from Royal Caribbean this morning, apologizing for my experience on my recent cruise and telling me that they have requested my refund for my isolation time on the cruise. The amount of the refund was the amount I had calculated. I had been told that I should hear something within 30 days so I was pleasantly surprised to hear already, since I disembarked on May 23. I will have to wait and see what they do about my expenses from my continued isolation in Seattle. I only submitted those this week, so it could be a few weeks.
  20. This is the wording on the cruise line website: A Certificate of Recovery will not be accepted in lieu of a vaccination record card for guests of vaccine eligible age. All Royal Caribbean guests age 12 and older must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination with the final dose of their vaccine administered at least 14 days before sailing. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/if-recovered-from-covid-19-need-to-be-vaccinated-or-take-a-test-to-sail The child in questing is too young to be vaccinated, so the COR was used in lieu of a negative test, not a vaccine card.
  21. Yes, there are cloth napkins in the Windjammer too. Why not just bring disposable bibs that you can throw away? Stuff won't leak through them like it can on a cloth napkin.
  22. Way, way pre covid since Michaels Genuine pubs went away in 2018.
