  1. The T-Mobile offer of a "free phone" depends on what phone you are trading in; they give a discount based on how they value your trade in.
  2. It depends on the airline. I was able to select seats for a Delta flight 5 months before final payment. I was even able to adjust those seats on the Delta website within hours of reserving the flight.
  3. Fusina is not set up for passengers. Silversea will have transportation to the Venice Cruise terminal and from there you can decide on the usual options for getting where you need to be. I sailed with Silversea in June so did this in the reverse: SS processed passengers at the cruise terminal and then used buses to get us to Fusina.
  4. I was in Portimao a few years ago and just used it as a day to go to the beach; there didn't seem to be too much happening in town that was calling us. So this may be a good day to stay onboard if you're not into the beach. (My ship ran a free shuttle, about 10 minutes ride, so I am not sure how one would otherwise get to the beach.) Zadar is absolutely beautiful and the ship will dock right in town, adjacent to the sea organ. You could easily visit the old town, or just the sea organ. You could spend as much or as little time there as you like and then be back onboard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_organ Photo taken from my balcony overlooking the sea organ.
  5. When I made final payment I waited 48 hours to call back and request ticketing; it was done 24 hours after that.
  6. All passengers get the included drinks regardless of room category. To get one of the other packages you have to purchase it; or, the premium package may have been included if you booked during a sale which included it. In the latter case it should be noted on your invoice.
  7. Yikes! That would really bother me. It's good you are taking all the small problems well and not letting it disrupt your cruise.
  8. There are spa choices in mysilversea just like the excursions; I think you can't actually book until 180 you're days out. Dining is there as well, but you won't be able to book until 120 day mark.
  9. Thanks for your summary. Could you comment a bit more on the shuttles? Where were shuttles offered and in which cities it was problematic? Thanks.
  10. If the OBC is from Azamara it should show in your account. Like others, I have been able to book tours using the OBC in advance of my cruise. I don't use TAs but it is my understanding that OBC from the TA won't appear until you're onboard.
  11. I can't wait either .... marking my calendar now 😀
  12. I agree David McCullough was a wonderful historian & writer. Just to clarify one thing: his works are all NON-fiction. (I am sure it was just a slip of the keyboard 🙂) While Path Between the Seas is lovely my favorite from McCullough has to be The Great Bridge, about the Brooklyn Bridge. Ofc, being born in Brooklyn might make me biased. 😉
  13. I had a similar experience: I called to have flights ticketed 3 days after I made final payment. The agent on the phone put in the request & said it might take as long as a week. I waited 48 hours, logged into Delta and the flights showed as ticketed. (I had been able to change seats selected at time of booking, long before final payment. This is with Delta.)
  14. I am adding this to my agenda for my November trip to Rome. Like so many here I really value your guidance. A while back ago you mentioned the Arab-Norman churches at Monreale in Palermo. Based on your recommendation I looked it up and made a point of getting there on my trip in June. A true joy! Thank you for always sharing your knowledge. A couple of my photos ....
  15. They can certainly treat you like you are inferior; no consent required. (This is not a comment on Azamara's intent.)
  16. I did this in 2019; yes, it was a bit like Cirque in a space at the Arts & Sciences Complex. As combine mentioned the welcome drinks were tasty too. A lovely evening. I am hoping my upcoming trip will have the same event as we stop in Valencia (and so far no info on the Azamazing evening).
  17. The cost of the flights are added to your final balance which you don't have to pay until that final payment due date.
  18. I got BC seats fir half the cost the airlines quoted on their website; however, it's clear you've made your decision so enjoy whatever vacation you arrange.
  19. I agree with @HappyPlace1 call again. A few months ago I called to price tickets for November & the agent claimed it would be at least 2 months until they loaded those flights so I should wait until then to call back. I ended the call, immediately called back and got an agent that ran all the options for me -- economy, PE and Business. It's clear to me the first agent simple didn't want to do his job at that moment.
  20. In June I got my cabin assignment on a Monday for a cruise sailing on the Friday. It's my only guarantee experience with SS so I can't advise what is "normal."
  21. Thanks, I assumed that would be the case. Ofc, if/when the situation arrives I will ask anyway.
  22. Personally, I wouldn't consider going on my own as it's a 2 hour drive from the port to Alhambra. It's easy to arrange with a tour company: I did it with Spain Day tours in 2019 and everything was great. They get excellent reviews on these boards. Only 32 on the coach bus, SDT stopped half way for a restroom break, we had a guide on the bus giving information and then were divided into 2 groups of 16 with an Alhambra guide. Wonderful.
  23. Thanks for responding. I, too, prefer to be in control of my bookings and obsessively check the status; however, now that I am traveling mostly on my own there are some places were I feel better letting SS take care of me. Yet, now that their BC costs are going up I may just return to my habits and go it alone.
