  1. If he booked everything through NCL, they might be able to fly him out to the next port to join the cruise there. I think that they do that.
  2. Hopefully he has travel insurance. Prayers sent for your son's on time arrival.🙏 Please let us know when he arrives for his cruise.
  3. I was watching the ship arrivals at home on my computer, so I had no idea how the winds were yesterday. I'm sure that the captains made the right decisions for safety.
  4. Isn't the Marina scheduled to port at the Dockyard in Bermuda today? It seemed to bypass the pier without stopping,
  5. My husband received his T.A. confirmation after supper on the night before we boarded. Before that, we called the toll free number, and were waiting in the queue for hours. A very nice person helped us out, and told us that there would be an agent at the pier to assist those who did not receive their paperwork. Thank goodness that his paperwork came through. Mine came a bit earlier.
  6. The buffet, or at least sections of it should always be open. That's the way it was on the Jewel Class ships.
  7. Thank goodness. The stress of that and uploading the Travel Authorization was too much.
  8. Yes, they were available last year balcony & up. We saw a note in our stateroom, telling us to inform our cabin steward if we wanted a coffee maker. I thought that coffee from the buffet or the dining rooms tasted better.
  9. Where else will your cruise take you to? We'll be taking a 10 day out of New York on the Joy, going to the GSC, Nassau, Cape Canaveral, and Bermuda.
  10. I hope that they will have it on the JOY. It used to be free for Platinum and above, and it will be our first cruise on the Joy, so I would love it.
  11. If New York will be saturated, NCL should send a ship to Boston for winter cruises. The market is there.
  12. Me too. Either a small fruit salad, or a cracker & cheese plate.
  13. Thank you for sharing your review and pictures of the Joy. We are booked on her for a 10 day cruise in August.
  14. If you are boarding for the first time on embarkation day, you need to be onboard 2 hours before sailing. If you are returning to the ship in a port of call, it's usually 30 min. before sailing, or whatever time is announced. Always check the posted time at the door, before leaving the ship.
  15. I think that the Breakaway was originally scheduled to call in Bermuda today, because I noticed it listed on the February Bermuda Cruise Ship Schedule. Perhaps it was canceled. I wouldn't mind a February call in Bermuda, because it doesn't get very cold, and the usual summer crowds would not be there.
  16. I was at some atrium performances on the Pearl last year, and the crew did bring out more seats.
  17. Ours was 5 nights. The desk clerk said that they hope to resume housekeeping soon.
  18. Our last hotel experience was no houskeeping at all. We picked up clean towels from the front desk. When our wastebaskets were full, we were told to put them in the hall, and someone would come to empty them.
  19. Or, they will be piled on a table in the Atrium, and we take them for ourselves.
