  1. Since you now live in Florida and I assume you drive to the port, you can definitely bring home the booze that comes with your RS. I had two RSs B2B last year and brought all the booze home. Just remember to leave some room in your luggage! And have your butler organize some bubble wrap. The RS will come with Veuve Cliquot champagne as opposed to that sparkling wine you get in other cabins. Enjoy!
  2. That looks wonderful. Please share info on name after you've stayed there. Thanks.
  3. Hi, Rollie, It was as late as last year. Who knows what the current policy is with all the cuts. I've always enjoyed my cruises in a royal suite but lately the prices are crazy, so I'm back to the balcony life.
  4. I don't care who the president or CEO or whatever is at Celebrity. What I care about is my experience on the ships. So far, it has been mostly excellent. I've not cruised since January. Last year my cruises were in the PH and royal suites. This year they are in balcony cabins. Suite pricing is insane, especially as a solo. More power to Celebrity if they can get it, but I notice that there is still a PH available on my Thanksgiving cruise on the Silhouette. That would have been absolutely unheard of in previous years. So, I will see how it goes in November. I've been mostly loyal to Celebrity and am Zenith with them. But now I am definitely considering other alternatives.
  5. Looking forward to your report as I will be sailing on Silhouette over Thanksgiving.
  6. Yummy stuff. Trader Joe's imports it to Florida for us. I'd always enjoyed the almond version, but the pecan version was even better!
  7. Awesome. Now I just need to find one with no single supplement and an itinerary I want to do.
  8. Thanks. I didn't see anything about expiration of status. MSC is pretty clear about that up front.
  9. Jim, with your usual meticulous research, can you enlighten us as to the status match deal on Ponant? When I status matched with MSC, I discovered if one didn't cruise within three years, your status would expire. Are there any gotchas like that?
  10. Jim, so looking forward to hearing about this cruise. I too am looking around, Celebrity has priced me out of suites. I'm trying an ordinary balcony cabin (well, one with a larger balcony) for my Thanksgiving cruise on the Silhouette--will see how that goes. I love your itinerary. I have several good friends in Milwaukee I could visit prior to that cruise.
  11. The Global Tastemakers Awards rated the 10 best cruises for food. 1. Viking 2. Regent Seven Seas 3. Oceania 4. Ama Waterways 5. Princess 6. Norwegian 7. Disney 8. Holland America 9. Celebrity 10. Royal Caribbean So, are we in a race to the bottom?
  12. MSC Yacht Club is great. The problem is the itineraries out of Florida. All 7-night, same, same.
  13. I don't know who has pronounced that you can't leave your scooter in the corridor. I can only cite my experience in January on the Constellation out of Tampa. I had a scooter that would not fit in my cabin. Guest relations sent an electrician up who figured out a way for me to charge it in the corridor. It spent the entire 10-night cruise out there and there were no complaints.
  14. I think that having a functioning call back feature would require that Celebrity have a functioning IT department. Enough said. I do appreciate this feature with companies that offer it.
  15. Seems to me that the moral of this story is not to buy insurance from Celebrity. Their IT has been a mess forever and they show no signs of wanting to fix it.
  16. I have not. My Summit sailings were all in 2022.
  17. Well, when I discussed this with the captain, he was apparently unaware that there was an elevator that might or might not have been broken. And I certainly wasn't offered any FCCs by the retreat concierges.
