  1. Scheduled arrival time was 11:30. We arrived at the port around 10:30 because our shuttle left the hotel early and were allowed up to the Suite/Zenith lounge and checked in. We started boarding around 11.
  2. In my experience, that's how it used to work. However, currently on the Silhouette, I must actually log off one device before logging on with another. PIA.
  3. Yes. It's past the general luggage drop area. Identified by big signs. There's no white tent like MSC Yacht Club, but there are plenty of people there to direct you up to the suite/Zenith lounge. We were the first ones on the ship yesterday. Dropped our luggage at the suite/Zenith area with the porters. Mine still hadn't come after 3:00 p.m. My cabin attendant went looking for it and brought it to me shortly after that. I think that's the latest my luggage has ever been delivered to my cabin.
  4. I'm also on the ship. Everything has been great except luggage delivery. Still didn't have my luggage by 3:15. Described it to my excellent cabin attendant and he went off and found it shortly thereafter. That was odd as we were the first people on the ship.
  5. I just boarded the Silhouette yesterday. Can't say I've experienced any of these issues. Service has been very attentive and all I've encountered have addressed me by name. I do stock up on water in the Retreat Lounge as I don't have a butler. We had the filet in Luminae last night and it was excellent. I have a lovely cabin attendant who has been very responsive to my few requests. So I'm a happy camper. I was a bit worried because of all the negative reviews lately.
  6. Loved hearing the story of you and Iain! Congratuations to you both. I happened to be in San Francisco and went home the day before the Loma Prieta Quake. I had a client who had just crossed the Bay Bridge prior to the quake. The only good thing to come from that quake is that San Francisco got rid of that dreadful freeway by the bay.
  7. Looking forward to your latest adventure. I'm in Fort Lauderdale tonight. We set sail on the Silhouette tomorrow for a 10-night Thanksgiving cruise.
  8. I got a pedicure onboard once because I didn't have time to do it prior to the cruise. I wasn't impressed with the quality and it didn't last very long. Oh, and it cost twice what I pay for a much better one at home.
  9. More power to 'em if they can get those prices. They'll not be getting them from me. Nor will I pay three times as much for a suite as I did last year. I wonder how long these prices will last.
  10. Glad you were able to make your flight home.
  11. Hi, Sue! Looks as if we're ships passing again. I will be boarding the Silhouette on Monday for her Thanksgiving cruise. Hope you make it into port. The winds have been fierce even over here in SW Florida! And it rained all day yesterday which we desperately needed. Happy Thanksgiving!
  12. In many ports it is required to get back into the port. Your passport will also work if you want to carry it with you.
  13. I don't send anything to the laundry that hasn't been washed and dried many times at home. Anything delicate gets sent to be dry cleaned. Celebrity is not going to change its laundry procedures to accommodate you so you have to learn to work with what's available. And, yes, hand washing with their shampoo works very well.
  14. I'm glad to hear you are reading the comments. My wish is that you would answer the questions. Thanks.
  15. She doesn't seem to be reading our comments as there are no responses. I hope our excursion is not canceled as I have done no research on Tobago.
  16. That amuse bouche was one of the best things I've ever had. And it's so simple. Who is the maître d' in Luminae?
  17. Your question has been answered on the roll call. We will depart from pier 25 and return to pier 18. You can also find this information on the Port Everglades website.
  18. I'm not going to book a ship with substandard cabins just for the food. I can get excellent food by going to local restaurants. No need to book a cruise for that.
  19. Yes, there was absolutely no mention of food quality in the webinar.
  20. Last year when I sailed in the PH and RSs on the Summit, I had an excellent shoreside concierge named Alex. She may have been shifted around.
  21. I always have my own pens, I'm fussy about pens. That tiny pencil would go straight to the trash. As for communicating with the cabin steward, I bring a pad of Post-It notes--stick the message on the mirror and it is very obvious.
  22. I did not get the survey. My vote would be to keep the solarium adults only.
  23. I agree. Was on her in January and had an excellent cruise.
