We couldn't care less about the butler changes, but the super high cost of a SS and loss of other benefits like the OBC will have us thinking twice not only about suites, but about Celebrity in general. We've never been on a ship with actual Retreat facilities, so that's not an issue. We're looking forwrd to our Yacht Club experience in March to see if that's a viable alternative.
I have to know what ships you've been cruising on that don't have showers?
There's usually one or maybe two, though not near the bed. I have been known to unplug the lamp (usually plugged in below the bed) to plug in my CPAP. I prefer that to an extension cord.
Descriptions of the Xpedition say they will stock your minibar with alcohol and soft drinks. Since I believe single-use plastics are banned in the Galapagos, do they use cans or glass bottles?
It's still our preferred way to cruise on Celebrity. We've never been on a ship with a Retreat sundeck, and we probably wouldn't even use it if it were there - just not our style.
What do they consider "experienced" for snorkeling and kayaking? I'm not worried about the snorkeling since we're both certified divers, but just curious on that one (and as a reference for others). As for kayaking, we've done it before, but we don't do it regularly, so is that good enough?
