  1. Anyone remember the old midnight buffets and chocolate fountains?
  2. Get a new TA. Don't wait. I would do that if Celebrity had any worthwhile specialty restaurants. Easier just to book away from Celebrity.
  3. It should just be another option you decide when ordering.
  4. I was referring to the "Retreat Sun Deck" and an actual Retreat Lounge. Michael's Club is not a Retreat Lounge - it's just a crowded, dingy room.
  5. We couldn't care less about the butler changes, but the super high cost of a SS and loss of other benefits like the OBC will have us thinking twice not only about suites, but about Celebrity in general. We've never been on a ship with actual Retreat facilities, so that's not an issue. We're looking forwrd to our Yacht Club experience in March to see if that's a viable alternative. I have to know what ships you've been cruising on that don't have showers?
  6. There have been several reports of this recently. Suffice it to day that Celebrity's IT sucks.
  7. There's usually one or maybe two, though not near the bed. I have been known to unplug the lamp (usually plugged in below the bed) to plug in my CPAP. I prefer that to an extension cord.
  8. That's what I expect when they say "dance party". I hope the floor has enough availability so we can dance to our own music.
  9. Sue is a terrible CD. She pushes passengers aside so she can get the spotlight.
  10. I like the tortoises with numbers. I can just imagine them racing on a track.
  11. Doesn't sound like our kind of dancing (which is ballroom). If the floor is generally empty on other nights, we always have our own music.
  12. You generally only have 90 days from the date of purchase to log a dispute.
  13. Descriptions of the Xpedition say they will stock your minibar with alcohol and soft drinks. Since I believe single-use plastics are banned in the Galapagos, do they use cans or glass bottles?
  14. Just don't make any changes to the 2024 booking, or you risk losing the perks.
  15. That's a very U.S.-centric view. Most airlines worldwide still charge change fees.
  16. Thanks for the insights. You've really whetted our appetites! (And it's funny how CruiseCritic bleeped out the name of the bird.)
  17. We regularly get over $2,000 on Cunard, but max out around $1,650 for Celebrity.
  18. I have never heard of Celebrity taking reservations for entertainment.
  19. You're on a Celebrity ship, so you can only book Celebrity cruises. No Royal Caribbean, no Princess, no Cunard. Celebrity only.
  20. All three itineraries are different (and there's also a Outer Loop itinerary on Flora). Check the Celebrity website for the maps.
  21. It's still our preferred way to cruise on Celebrity. We've never been on a ship with a Retreat sundeck, and we probably wouldn't even use it if it were there - just not our style.
  22. What do they consider "experienced" for snorkeling and kayaking? I'm not worried about the snorkeling since we're both certified divers, but just curious on that one (and as a reference for others). As for kayaking, we've done it before, but we don't do it regularly, so is that good enough?
