  1. Thought I would provide you with some useless information, earlier in your report you had mentioned getting free champagne. The champagne RCL was providing was a cheap Sauvignon Blank wine with a sugar substitute for the bubbles.
  2. Following along, enjoying the commentary and photos. On a previous cruise I was gifted one dinner at Chops and I was able to trade the dinner in for 2 lunches. Worked out great, my wife and I were able to eat in a pay restaurant for free.
  3. Enjoying your posts and photos, a few comments, the fire doors are closed but not locked, when I board I drop off my carry on bag in the cabin, if I am challenged by a crew member I tell them I'm in transit, i.e., b-2-b cruiser. As for TP, my wife used to take a roll of her favorite, but don't leave the TP out because it will be confiscated, not good for the plumbing. As for connecting cabins, they are missing a piece of furniture to make room for the door.
  4. Thanks for the information about Dania/Hollywood Beach areas, I have always stayed in the 17th street area, i.e. Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn, etc. As for staying at an all exclusive the costs have also gone up. My thoughts now are booking an older smaller ship, there prices seem more reasonable.
  5. Hello Harry, happy to see your posts, looking forward to more of your postings. As for myself, doing well and looking to book my next cruise, but with the higher prices, cut back on food and services I'm holding off at this time, maybe an all inclusive. I sailed on the Harmony doing a b-3-b sailing to the ABC island and several other ports a little awhile ago, good cruise but with the with the cut backs it seams like RCL is trying to make up all the money they lost ASAP.
  6. I believe the food quality and selections have gone downhill, as I said to the head waiter after several disappointing meals, "if I wanted muesli I would have ordered muesli."
  7. On my last cruise on the Harmony I had a bad main course, spoke to our waiter and said "if I wanted muesli I would have ordered muesli!"then got up and walked out. The next night I got a very nice visit for the head waiter, no change in food quality but the service was great.
  8. I see there is construction going on at the port of Roatan since my visit this past May where shopping was at a minimum,
  9. This past May I rented a wheelchair on the Harmony for my son and the cost was about $15.00 a day, the chair was delivered to the cabin and at the end of the cruise we just left it in the cabin.
  10. This past May I did the city tour and airport drop off to kill time, I had purchased a pass to the private airport lounge in advance, very pleased with the lounge experience.
  11. Apparently RCL is in a hurry to pay off it's uncured during the shut down.
  12. Following along, sailed on this ship for a b-2-b earlier this year.
  13. The whole cruise experience has suffered due to the cut backs, increase in prices, and rude passengers.
  14. In Aruba there are buses that go to the front gate, and there are free trolleys just outside of the gate.
  15. ajavor29 - As for the Kummelwick sandwich, I agree with your assessment. When I sailed on the Harmony the sandwich was bad, my thoughts were RCL is using a cheaper cut of meat and the server did not know what he was doing.
  16. harryfat1, gas in Myrtle beach today was $2.59 to $2.70, not too many electric cars here. Have a great cruise next month, I have one planned for Jan. 24.
  17. I did a b-3-b on the Harmony recently, the first week was OK, but by the 3rd week the food left a lot to be desired,
  18. Would someone fill me in about this Diamonds not allowed letter, I'm a Diamond with about 400 points. Thanks,
