  1. @SargassoPirate - Notice how the last three items on your screenshot say "NEW". That flyer must have been printed up before Princess decided to charge for casual dining, Ocean Now Delivery and Room Service for most passengers but make them part of the plus package. We noticed the same thing on our last cruise in December . They must have printed up thousands of flyers and just decided to use them, even though they're outdated. In the end - you DO have the plus package - right?
  2. We sail in Aqua class on Celebrity which is like Reserve. It's been many years and our reservation always says "Early Dining" - even though we know that we're in a dining room called Blu which is separate from the MDR and walk up. Celebrity's IT has never gotten it right so I have low expectations for Princess. Just show up at your correct dining room when you want to eat.
  3. We're boarding in Rome and then new people will board in Athens, Barcelona and Southhampton. We start the 2nd leg of our B2B in Barcelona and have to change cabins that day. Are you saying the ship won't have to "zero out" as they do in US ports? (Where all the "old" cruisers have to be off and the B2B people do a turnaround.)
  4. We booked 2 cruises as B2B but when I looked up what's offered there are actually 5 different ways to book them . I know that when we've had B2Bs in the past we have to go through customs every time a new cruise starts. Will we have to go through customs (and thus waste a lot of the day) at every embarkation port, even though we are supposedly sailing through? (This is a European cruise so don't want to waste our days in customs)
  5. I tried to circle those cabins in red below
  6. From this photo I would say that any of those side aft balconies above Deck 12 or so would be able to look straight down to the water.
  7. So the talk about Shareholder benefits got me to thinking so I looked up my cruises. We booked as 2 cruises B2B but when I looked up what's offered there are actually 5 different ways to book them . I know that when we've had B2Bs in the past we have to go through customs every time a new cruise starts. Will we have to go through customs (and thus waste a lot of the day) at every embarkation port, even though we are supposedly sailing through? (Do I need to start a new topic on the Princess thread for this question?)
  8. We just got off 32 days in C753. The first day the cabin looked so small but by the middle of the cruise all we cared about was that beautiful covered, huge, quiet balcony!!!!!
  9. @CruiseRaiderYou said you had the premier package (see highlighted in red above) If you look at amenities under Premier the third from the bottom says unlimited casual dining
  10. Why do you say that? I've looked at the pictures of the ship and it looks like the majority of balconies will be able to look straight down at the sea as usual.
  11. I used it as an opportunity to book a reserve mini for one cruise to try the new dining room and a suite for another cruise to try those amenities. I'm only hoping that both of those balconies are at least covered as the Future Cruise Consultant on our last cruise who booked those cabins for me assured me.
  12. We have a B2B cruise booked that also could have been booked as 4 shorter cruises. We are Elite and I know from past experience that we will receive a new bar set up (10 small bottles of liquor and 10 non alcoholic drinks) for each leg as if it were 4 cruises even though we signed up as 2 . (We'll have quite the collection of miniatures by the end of these cruises!!! 🤣 ) My question is about the 2 casual meals we receive as part of the plus package for each cruise. Does anyone have any experience with whether we'll also get 2 for each leg (so 8 total each as if it were 4 separate cruises) even if we signed up as 2 cruises?
  13. @PTC DAWG - Have you sailed with a new package since Celebrity removed the gratuities from the "all-inclusive" (and I use those quotation marks intentionally since it's really NOT anymore) package ? I know that on NCL gratuities are added on even if a person has a drink package - so wondering if this new thing with Celebrity will do the same.
  14. The cabin I was looking at is NOT a Cabana cabin at all. It's designated as a reserve collection mini suite. Check the deck plans. If you click on the cabin the diagram and description pop up. Actually maybe it's Princess that should check their deck plans. Stateroom Number: 15451 Type: Reserve Collection Mini-Suite Category: M1 Location: Midship Deck: 15 (Fifteen) Bath Type: Shower Connecting Room: 15449 Average Size: 304 sq. ft. Special Notes: Reserve Collection Reserve Mini-suite Sofa By Entrance Vie Contrast that with diagram on regular mini suite *******
  15. Since no one has sailed on the Sun we can only guess that this interior cabin is configured differently than the normal interior. But just know that if you ever get the slightest bit sea sick this cabin might be your worst nightmare. All the way up front with no windows or fresh air. When looking this cabin on the deck plans I came across this "diagram" of what is designated as a Resrve Collection mini suite. Why does it look like a Cabana mini suite? Type: Reserve Collection Mini-Suite
  16. Us, also. We are doing B2B - first one in a reserve mini and second one in a Signature Suite (which looks to be the same size as the mini but includes the Signature amenities.)
  17. I thought it might be a nice place to sit on a rainy or cold day that was somewhat outside but it just looks like a darker part of the inside. It'll be interesting to hear from people who actually sail in them.
  18. I also noticed what they said about the cabin being dark. We've had some experience with that. On Celebrity some of the balconies are double and triple deep. People consider them prime locations so a long time ago we were able to book one and had that same experience of the cabin being dark because the (covered) balcony was so deep. Never again!
  19. No. I booked a cabin in a different category but the Future Cruise Consultant (this was on Princess ship) said that for a $200 deposit I would be put on a waitlist for the category that was sold out. I made that $200 deposit so I am on that supposed waitlist. I also have a cabin booked in a different category for that cruise. (I had 4 usable FCCs that she said would NOT put me on the waitlist but did qualify as my deposit for the available cabin) Disputing that this happened doesn't help to answer my question . I'm asking people who were in my situation in the past if Princess actually goes to this waitlist first when cabins become available or if I need to keep monitoring my cruise for availability myself. *****
  20. The cabin category we wanted for an upcoming cruise was all booked so the Future Cruise Consultant onboard our cruise suggested I make a $200 waitlist reservation (alongside the real reservation I made for the next best cabin category.) My question is - does this "waitlist" really put me ahead of those just checking online to see if a cabin in that category becomes available? Or do I need to constantly check availability myself? Thanks
  21. I think not being able to book specialty restaurants on the Sun might have to do more with it being a new ship and Princess not having that set up yet than what loyalty level or cabin you have. Have you read about anyone being able to book Specialty restaurants yet on the Sun?
  22. The Signature (Suite) dining room is walk-in. You won't need a reservation - you will be seated almost immediately whenever you choose to dine.
  23. I copied this from a blurb on Cruise Critic about the Sun. Is it accurate? https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles/sun-princess-will-debut-a-host-of-new-cabin-types The 76 Cabana staterooms are a completely new idea for Princess Cruises and surprisingly large at 329 square feet. They have double-size balconies as well as a cabana -- a bit like a sun room -- with sliding bi-fold doors so you can open them onto the balcony or keep the cabana as a light-filled enclosed part of the stateroom. These resort-style staterooms have an affordable price point compared to other suites but are surprisingly roomy, making them perfect for families, and they come with the extra perk of having access to the Reserve Collection Restaurant as well as the Cabana Sundeck, pictured above.
  24. Interesting. We've found the service often impeccable but the food leaving something to desire so hoping for the two new dining rooms to step it up in that area. If not we're back to just a balcony cabin.
