  1. In today's world it's up to the consumer to be vigilant and check your seat assignment every time you're notified of a flight time change. Many times the plane is also be changed. We're on our 4th change for a return flight after a TA in October. Good thing I'm checking as I had to choose seats.....again.
  2. Was it Cherry Pie Pinot Noir? If so, that's a great wine. Have you seen it in Costco for $8. I'm in CA and would love to be able to get it for that price.
  3. We had a day before non-stop flight from LAX - FLL for our APEX transatlantic last month booked with Flights by Celebrity until the airline cancelled the flight. We were then given a red-eye flight from LAX-Seattle-FLL arriving at 7am the day of the cruise. I said "no way" as we had friends who had the same flight 2 weeks prior, got diverted to Portland and then had no way to get to FLL. They missed their TA cruise. I told FBC that I wouldn't accept that change but would agree to going in 2 days ahead which they were able to get approved. Meant one more night in a hotel....arriving at 7am...but it was worth it. Flying isn't what it used to be and no one needs all that extra stress!
  4. You might find answers to your questions on the Cruise Critic Seabourn Forum
  5. How many ships still have a Concierge Lounge?
  6. I was also on the Apex TA and quarantined on the British Isles cruise. I do know that b2b testing was done at the end of the British Isles cruise.....and, IMHO, should have been done at the end of the TA cruise. Whether they tested between the British Isles and Fjords cruises or the next ones I don't know. I'm sure there were a lot who got a surprise when they tested to fly home. At least that's not needed now.
  7. Was this recently? It's a different situation today as has been reported by other cruisers. Airline flight changes are happening all the time and Celebrity will "help you get to the ship" but there are no guarantees. I know as it happened to a cruising friend and they missed their Transatlantic cruise and had little to no help from Flights by Celebrity/Air2Sea.
  8. I was in quarantine on APEX from May 12 - 22 and food options were Room Service and the MDR.
  9. Two more glasses for each of us came with dinner....
  10. Cheese Plate from Room Service.....while in quarantine....on APEX. It was very nice and the included wine made for a nice Happy Hour.
  11. If you feel that way why do you even both looking at or commenting on this thread?
  12. Protocols for how a cruise line is handling Covid Positive cases is an ever evolving situation as are the different foreign country protocols. Cruisers need keep up with what is happening "NOW" and not rely on information from last month or even last week. I know as I tested positive on APEX, quarantined on the ship before flying home and have done a lot of reading about this.
  13. If you test positive and then quarantine you can get a Certificate of Recovery that you use, along with the initial Positive Covid test result, for your return flight to the US. That's what I did last month after I tested positive and quarantined on APEX with return flight from Amsterdam.
  14. Guests who needed to quarantine were told the information that @ILOVESHIPS shared and were to submit claims to RCI for compensation. I'd think you'd know that since you've read/commented on various quarantine posts.
  15. What type of cabin? We were in a Sky Suite and there were no plugs on the wall on one side of the bed. What we did have was a box on the top of the desk and there was 1 USB on the side of the phone.
  16. I tested positive on Apex on May 12...my husband was negative. At that point the Capt had announced positives were at 3% and everyone was to mask except while eating or drinking. My symptoms were that of a head cold/sinus pressure. We were to fly home on May 14 and would need negative Covid results so I self-tested and when the result was positive I called medical. They came to our SS and tested both of us. I was positive and DH negative. We stayed in our cabin and Celebrity gave us our options the next day....We could stay onboard for the next cruise....12 nt British Isles...or quarantine for 10 days in an Amsterdam hotel with $$ toward hotel cost and nothing for food. We opted to stay onboard.... as have about 50 others. We are all on deck 6. My DH chose to quarantine with me but could have had his own IV cabin on deck 9. Today is Day 2 and having a floor to ceiling window that opens to allow fresh air in is a huge plus. Room Service - Even though yesterday was embarkation day and RS is closed we had 4 choices for lunch and the DR or RS menu for dinner. Only problem was we have no access to the APP so have no idea what is on the MDR menu. Time from order to delivery was very slow and food was lukewarm at best. I'm hoping it will get better....which it did tonight. This is certainly not what we....or anyone else anticipated...but we're trying to make the best of the situation. I do think that written communication about procedures and a dedicated phone # for those in quarantine would benefit both Guest Services staff and those in quarantine. Ask away and I'll try to answer any questions as well as post daily updates if there's interest.
