Thank you. Spectacular scenery. I'm amazed I hadn't heard of it.

Have been following the Australian Roll Calls, which, to date, have few people on them. Seems there are other people, like me, who are waiting to see what happens.

Watching the Queen's 8 grandchildren standing vigil by the Queen. Youngest cousin, aged 14, was impressive, whilst his mother, on the balcony, was in tears. Beautiful heart felt tribute to their grandmother from Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice. Was surprised to see the King and Prince of Wales visiting the mourners patiently queueing in the long queue.

What is attraction of Whalers Bay? I haven't visited Port Lincoln.

The tourist information ladies, who were so excited, told me Coral Princess was their first ship of the Season after years.. I doubt Adelaide port would be booked, nor Port Lincoln. The locals would know. Anyone who has visited KI would know how risky it is in bad weather.

I hope the seas weren't too rough. On my first cruise from Sydney to Perth, the seas were so rough in the Great Australian Bight many passengers were sea sick. Turned me off cruising for thirty years! If they can't get in to KI, is there another port they could visit?

Enjoy cuising through the Kiel Canal.

I was surprised Kangaroo Island was still the plan, because it has such a bad record of even the ferry not being able to land. First time I visited KI, I allowed a few extra days before I flew home back to Queensland, in case I got stranded there. Hope you are lucky as it is a beautiful place.

Enjoy it while you can. I used to love relaxing in a bath with bath salts.

On News - today it felt like 6-8 degrees in Melbourne. Is the next port of call Kangaroo Island?

Enjoy your extended stay in Melbourne with your granddaughter. Reminds me of when a hurricane caused our ship to divert to Boston. When I phoned my girlfriend from the wharf, she couldn't believe I was in Boston. Her husband picked us up and we had the best day!

Coral Princess cancels Adelaide and Port Lincoln. Carnival Aust says that an intense low pressure system generating heavy seas and wind conditions has affected Coral Princess's itinerary. Reminds me of a comment on CC to never cruise south in winter, nor north in summer! Bonus another day in Melbourne.

Good idea. I wouldn't get in the bath, as I'd made the mistake of giving my frail elderly grandmother a bath. I couldn't get her out, so had to get my husband to help. This was a woman who had her babies at home and had never shown an inch of skin! She put a washer over her private parts and we all ended up giggling which made the exercise even more difficult!.

I agree with comments about shuttle from airport. Door to door by shuttle Airport to Potts Point Hotel you can't beat the convenience. Don't use shuttle service offered inside the airport and book your shuttle in advance. BTW I love Potts Point because it feels like being in Sydney!

Yes he said he joined the queue at 2 am Friday thinking it would be a little quieter then, but he was wrong. His group of queuers were fuelled by Pringles Crisps, Sherbet Lemon Sweets, donuts and coffee. BBC The queue later reached 24 hours, so was paused for six hours because there were too many people. (Later breaking news - a man rushed the Queen's Coffin and was arrested.)

That must have been rewarding to see one of the graduates you supervised received a PhD. My daughter did a Masters on line because of Covid, but went to Melbourne to receive her graduation certificate. I was sorry she didn't have the experience of studying at the University.
