  1. Pleased to hear you had a nice day with Lyndon, and had fun finding your way around.
  2. I admire the love mothers give to autistic children. An autistic boy was in my view of the stage at a concert. He was fine playing with his friend. But then he got overtired, so his mother nursed him to calm him. He continually hit her, but she held him tight and he settled. What a saint!
  3. I was taken out of school my whole life to accompany my grandmother. So I took my children out of school, once for a whole year. Didn’t hurt their education! They learn from travel!
  4. Thank you. How does it work? I know they had trouble reducing the flows into Venice to try to stop flooding.
  5. I know they encourage early booking of excursions, but didn't know they require it.
  6. Things you remember. I remember the steam clock and the lights in Gastown. I can imagine you would enjoy a police museum. I didn't know there was one. You'll have to have poutine.
  7. Hope you all have a wonderful day together, being tourists. It is a walkers paradise with lots to see and do. Hope you have good weather.
  8. Govt should look into their booking and refund practices. In the meantime, they have use of your money. I never prepay excursions, as you don’t know what the weather is going to be like on a cruise.
  9. A better choice would be WDW in Orlando, Florida (Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Typhoon Water Park and its Boardwalk). But not everyone has enough leave, so the Aussie cruise is a taste.
  10. Yes, it is very expensive, but look at it like you have paid for the cruise, as well as the Disney experience. Put on your Disney ears and have lots of fun. Our family loves Disney Resorts and have visited WDW in Orlando, Florida, several times. My elder daughter is staying in Fort Wilderness, in WDW, again in November.
  11. The person should follow up that advice, as they are entitled to refund of port fees and taxes if port is missed. Do RCL think they are a law unto themselves?
  12. Definitely spend longer at Broome, if possible, as it is well worth the cost. My daughter recently extended her stay in Broome, as they enjoyed it so much. It has the oldest outside movie theatre in the world from memory. Dampier Peninsula, to the north east, is outstandingly beautiful. We visited Beagle Bay Sacred Heart Church and stayed at Lombadina and Kooljaman at Cape Leveque, beautiful red cliffs, white beaches, and blue seas. It is fascinating to watch the high tides receding. Koolijaman closed and I don't know if it has reopened.
  13. When we visit Kangaroo Island, we always allow a couple of extra days to get off the island, as locals advised us the ferries can be unreliable because of seas.
  14. My daughter, who is currently driving around Australia in a camper van, loved Broome so much they recently extended their stay there. I love Broome as it is unique. My daughter called it a frontier town!
  15. Thank you for photos. It is always interesting coming in to Singapore, so much marine activity. I hope passengers enjoyed Singapore. There is so much to see and do there.
  16. It is not all those kids, it is all their parents. I'm sure your child is well behaved.
  17. Have you received a refund for the cruise and excursion in Eden? I think Aussie cruisers are too trusting.
  18. Yes, I can understand that. I decided to cruise less often, so I could afford to cruise on small ships, which are more expensive.
  19. Anyone booked on Luminosa's 11 day cruise departing Brisbane on 19/11/23 to PNG? Ports - Kiriwini island Conflict island Rabaul island Alotau
  20. Hope your embarkation goes smoothly. I have nightmares about being lost at the big Dubai Airport.
