Roving reporter here. So. To make a short story long. When I looked at my sea pass it did not show my status in casino. So I made the dreaded mistake of going to customer service and waited an hour in line. I talked with a fellow cruiser “Scott” as we waited. High Scott. Loved talking to you. My turn….. So I asked for a correction and/sticker. And I was told to go to casino to get sticker later. Because the computer has a “ glitch” and it will not print on cards. Now not to be mean or anything. But. Did you ever try to understand a word from someone who speaks broken English. Or better yet, has learned English as a second language. Kalixcz Gllich quelitz kitch Oh you mean “GLITCH”. You figured I waited 60 min. I only made you repeat it 4 times as I leaned closer and closer to hear you better. If I would have gotten any closer we would have been picking furniture together. lionesss 16:02.

Being a nurse anesthetist. I have seen both sides of the donor/recipient experience. Yes, it is very unfortunate to see a family in sorrow and sudden loss of a loved one. Most of the time their illness is unexpected and commonly from an accident. However some are not. Our hospital included all members of the team that would provide care/ counseling during the whole process. Yes, it is thought provoking. On one side of the spectrum dealing with the families shock to another families joy and relief of new beginnings. For our facility when a donation was made our facility through the organ recovery nurse checked the registry and coordinated the transfer to another facility. This way the recipient would not know or witness the families sadness. When one of our local patients needed their new organ we did the surgery. Our center at that time only did certain placement (kidneys, corneas ). At that time the organ would be flown in. The placement of heart or lung , liver, pancreas we’re in the major hospitals that could provide post op recovery and rehabilitation as well as long term follow up. The contact we had with the patients who received kidneys or corneas definitely brought a sense of fulfillment to not only the patient but to me as well. Unless you have witnessed the joy and relief when a patient who has had compromised vision see. Or a kidney failure patient who had dialysis 3 times a week begin a new life, well. It is remarkable. We have a yearly reception for those people who have been involved with organ recovery. Before this event letters are sent to the donors families as well to the patient recipient if they would like to attend. Also if the would like to meet one another. ( the donor and recipient). Some do. Some do not. This reception is truly amazing.

Good morning I cannot believe I am up now. At home most days I would be saying goodbye to spouse as he heads off to work, then turning over and going back to sleep. The hotel may be old, and rooms small but it was quiet and the beds we’re comfy. I must have been tired and fell asleep quick, because at 4:30 I saw the smoke detector light flashing every 10 seconds above our bed. Did not notice last night. Eventually we will head down to breakfast and then hat ready for going to port. Thanks for putting up with me. lionesss 05:53

Everything is ala carte. I had chicken parmigiana. Very large serving. Could not finish. Spouse had filet mashed potatoes and vegetables medaly. He said it was excellent. We asked for Caesar’s salad. They brought all the food at one time. The side salad was massive we told them kindly that we cannot eat all that at one time. They took the salad back and removed it from bill. The were understanding. We told them we thought the salad would be served before entres Spouse had a mix drink. Crown Royal an 7- up. $14. We would definitely eat their again. Sea ya

Found “ The Tavern “ a few blocks from our hotel. Decided since I do not know what the next week could be in the way of fluid’s hydration to stick with decaf coffee. Ok. No decaf. Really. A busy place like this. Ok so I’ll move up in the world. Water. Now to order something they probably ran out of. 17:54

Just got into our room at the Hampton, mid beach. Older. Yes OLD, hotel. Room smaller than a balcony cabin on Royal Oasis. ( saw pictures)😜 No bed bugs. Now Bathroom is circa 1950’s including shower curtain. But for only one night $461 ish. Damn I wonder what a real hotel room would cost! lionesss 13:56

Ok two updates. 1. If your flying in be prepared to be delayed. Flight boards showing many incoming and out going flights being delayed due to what was previously posted. Rocket launch. I tried to get a picture of board but came out blurry. Oh it gets better. 2. Tomorrow is the annual Calle Ocho festival encompassing certain districts in Miami. Our driver told us it gets crowed and traffic can be a major problem. Starts at 9!am. Budget your time. Lionesss 12:12
