Random thoughts about the Embassy Suites. Bell captain eager to take your luggage 25 steps to checkin desk for a tip. Nope. Three employees checking in guest. We arrived and there was no line. Extra drink coupons provided. Room ready early. Was not charged early fee. Will recheck credit card later. Room older. Toilet heigh perfect for a toddler. Interesting way to sit on the throne. Rooms old. Dated. But very clean. Minimal towels. Asked and quickly got more. Manager’s reception was nice. Got very crowded. But tolerable. Public restrooms modern. Very clean. Abundant soap paper products. Breakfast fresh made as you wait eggs to order. Omelets, or any type egg. Sausage, bacon, pancakes. Coffee was good. Nice variet if cold drinks. Now on the other hand. Just like any place where kids are left free to roam. Running screaming down the halls. Elevators having all the buttons pushed. I wonder if the have security cameras ( lol). And yes. We would stay here again.

Woke up to the alarm clock. Bed was so comfy. Breakfast and then realized of course our ship has come in. Sad face……..it’s raining. Ooooops Happy face……..rain stopped. Sun is out. aka Florida weather.

The lobster bisque had small shreds of pieces of lobster not like mom used to make.

So after dinner we walked back to hotel got in the room sat down. You will never guess what happened next. Being fair. I’ll give you some options. We actually got our second wind so : A. Went for ice cream. B. Decided to bar hop at the bars within walking distance. C. Took a UBER to Hard Rock to practice gambling. D. Went swimming. E. Joined the party on floor 2. F. Played cards on table in food court. G. Took a shower and put Jammies on. 1. A only 2. A and C 3. B. Only 4. B and C 5. C only 6. E only 7. A and F. 8. A and G 9. G only. Any guesses?????

Too sedated to post food porn. it was delicious. Prices a tad on the OMG list. But we enjoyed. Had I not been happy during happy hour. You would have gotten your porn. Food porn that is.

OMG Dinner was to DIE for. fresh hot rolls Spouse had lobster bisque filet mash potatoes I had Caesar salad chicken parmigiana pasta Way too much food. I know I wasted 2/3 of it. Since we had pre dinner drinks at Embassy we just stayed with nature’s champagne ( H20). I am so stuffed. Did a short walk or should I say waddle back to hotel. Trying to get motivated to shower. Did I say I’m stuffed!

I guess you can say I talk to much. When we checked in I just started talking away telling her how this is the 9 th time we are staying here. Love the place. People are so kind. Next thing she goes. Your so friendly. Here’s some extra drink coupons. You see they are double tickets They only take one of these per drink. We have 4 drinks left.

Stopped by the manager’s reception at the Embassy. They had a small selection of wine. A large dispenser of the drink. “ sex on the beach” and beer from tap. ( bud light ) and some mixes for cocktails. 2 lines. One very very long. The other short. I guess people should look around and utilize the shorter line. To go with you drinks.—- Also chips salsa thousand island dressing cucumbers carrots and cauliflower.

The lady that checked us in said “ your gold members” so here is your water. I wonder what we get when we’re Diamond? She also knew we were just shy of being Diamond. You see if you stay at an Embassy / Hampton and rest of their hotels owned by Hilton you get HILTON points. I guess I should have bee more specific on what was recognized when we travel and book hotels (1-2 x per month) that Hilton owns we get the points. We have been a member for quite awhile.

Fort Lauderdale 17th street. Well kinda sorta. We booked in February of this year for this visit. $215.00 tax included. Cleveland Hampton was more expensive $253.00. tax included

So we did our traditional shopping at Publix with our $5 off coupon. After our May cruise we signed up for their store membership. Got our suntan lotion hair spay………….. Hiked over. Stopped at TJ Max to purchase some expensive quality shirts as souvenirs. I bit the bullet and got them anywhere from $3.99-$6.99. Great sale. Made dinner reservations and I’ll post about that later. Oh there is a bunch of young kids running through the hotel like idiots. Could get interesting Organizing suitcases now, only want to lug around a purse backpack and one carryon tomorrow.

So after all was said and done and the captain turned on the seatbelt sign mid flight it was just a couple bumps hand clenching the spouses hand. I knew I was ok because I did not have a repeat performance on the breakfast. By the way the spouse got a Denver omelet fruit, yogurt and he said it was good I got a copycat version of banana waffles foster.fruit yogurt. Since we ate before boarding it was mostly a sampling for us We opted not to start prepping our livers till we land. Now after a 2 hour and 40 min flight and I am one of those girls with a shy bladder ( can’t P on a plane) thank god we were in the second row and the restrooms in the terminal were very close, and not crowded. Did my never ending watering act and off we went. Luggage arrived at carousel 1 in about 15 min. Walked to cab stand and off we went A $14.75 cab ride ( before tip). We arrived at the Embassy Suites and our room was ready. Yes the Embassy is showing its age but the room is very clean. With Embassy loyalty We received our 2 bottles of water. And 8 drink coupons for managers social from 5-6:30 pm In May the drink selections were acceptable. I’ll check it out when we use our tickets. I did notice more homeless people on 17th street than before. And I guess I should have mentioned earlier. NO TRAFFIC!!! More updated to come.

Problem solved Our ride has arrived.

So far starting in a confusing way. Our plane arrived yesterday from Chicago And is currently at gate C 21. We are currently at gate C18 where the signs and text messages told us to wait. No plane Only pigeons Waiting patiently.

Cleveland airport a zoo With TSA Pre Check took us 25 min to get through The non TSA pre check line almost completely through the terminal. Many cranky travelers. Breakfast time at the pub Um. Breakfast food and coffee later

Just read Jet Blue cancelled a flight and now a family is driving to FLL. 14 hour drive. How frustrating.

Probably all the anticipation for today but I am up before the alarm. The spouse will be getting our coffee from the hotel lobby then get ready to leave for airport at 4:45am. The hotel offers free transportation to airport, we just tip the driver. I am glad we have TSA pre approval. Because Cleveland Hopkins airport is known for long delays getting through security. We will Have a light breakfast and wait for our flight. Boarding starts at 7:30. Today will be a long travel day. Staying at Embassy Suites. For sure we are doing a Publix run. We signed up for Publix loyalty after our May cruise and we got a $5 off a $30 dollar order. That will come in handy because we will be purchasing suntan lotion, as well as hair conditioner. The one on board does not work well on me. And for now a quick heads up to anyone staying at the Embassy. We will be at the manager’s reception for the free drinks later. And when you see a classy lady that looks like Princess Kate. I’ll be the one sitting next to her. Take care Pray for safe flights and sailing.
