  1. Second round. Blue cheese dinner salad laredo steak baked potato broccoli Pittsburgh salad in Cleveland.
  2. Arrived in our overnight hotel which is conveniently located within walking distance to a chain watering hole. MAX AND ERMAS. But to get here we had to drive on the Ohio turnpike and let me tell you. It was once again not fun. They already have 18 miles of decorations up for Halloween. Yup those darn orange barrels. Some were, well actually tipped, broke, moved. I guess your aim with your car has to be pretty good to just selectively get one. Soon we will have drinks and dinner. Wonder what I am in the mood for. hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm
  3. We got those stickers 31 years ago on Waikiki beach store crazy shirt , we were on our honeymoon . Found them when cleaning.
  4. Our final “Before we leave things to do” list. Now in May I actually felt bad that the spouse had more to do on his list. So this year we decided to let luck be our lady and we selected from two papers marked “A” or “B” which list you would have to complete all tasks. LIST “A” go to post office stop mail get gas in car check oil and washer fluid get turtle feeder fish stop to get beer and snacks for sitter (frigerator already stocked) bring lunch home shut water off to outside water plants empty dishwasher take out trash put luggage tags on take suitcases down put all suitcases in car put EZ pass in car for turnpike stop newspaper complete airline info print boarding pass Get passports - COVID cards from safe Print EMed test results LIST. “ B” take shower dry hair get dressed eat lunch ( IF WIFEY WINS THEN) Curl hair apply makeup select jewelry to take. In all fairness since spouse always lets me go first. I let him select first. DRUMROLL o o o o o o o o o AWE. HE GOT “ A” I am the lucky one as he mosy’s off. o o o o o o o o ONE DAY HE WILL FIGURE THIS OUT O O O O O But in all honesty. He would have done list “A” anyway. Good husband. ❤️
  5. So as I attempt to look out the kitchen window I see this little critter. Yup a Circada. Well buddy you slept in. 2021 was the time of the 17 year appearance.
  6. While waiting for my phone to count down on the results of COVID test EMed I’m checking my mail and this showed up.
  7. I know. It is remarkable what we get. Especially the OTC MEDS. But our family doctor is a Family Practioner and we are truly fortunate that he has a great supply chain.
  8. So. If tomorrow at 7 am we are COVID negative. We will cruise in our crown loft suite on Saturday.
  9. Well. Being in the medical field. And realizing antibiotics are not to be taken lightly we have his guidelines on which to take in case. The fees for doctor visit on board is not cheap. When we return from vacation if we had to take an antibiotic we schedule a doctors visit to make sure we are treat the appropriate ailment. And it is resolved or resolving. ie. urinary tract infection. (Been there) otitis media as examples. Also. um Have many friends in the profession. Drug reps, Doctors. We practically get everything as a freebie. The only thing we have to pay for is calamine lotion, visine and eye wash. It seems everything gets pitched before it is used because it expires. Over kill Maybe. But if you ever need immodium (sp) and do not have. Your *hit out of luck. 😜
  10. At least once every couple months I ask the Spouse to do the cooking or use a token and carry in something. I know he is working, but I have been busy non stop too since 6am. In the past we have enjoyed carry in O'Charleys, Outback, Olive Garden......................... But today is a gall bladder attack in the making Original KFC (YUP KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN) mash potatoes, gravy beans and coleslaw. It actually will taste good going down, but the burping and flatulence later will be gross. Ok, gotta finish packing, Catch you later Leaving for Cleveland tomorrow and flying Friday.
  11. As a happily ever after retired CRNA, we take a “sample” version of CVS stock. Now our prescription drugs will be added later but we have and not limited to: pepto bismol benadryl immodium sinus tylenol tums tylenol ibuprofen visine eye wash neosporin blistex polymyxin eye drops calamine lotion ampicillin amoxicillin zithromax zantac zurtec bandaids ace wrap gauze q-tips 4 x 4s cotton balls But most importantly travel insurance. Now I can replace all our clothes. But there is something about a comfy bathing suit. So those are in other carryon. We have to fit this into 2 suitcases plus the shoes we have (12 pair between us), and must weigh under 60 pounds per spouse to fly. Oh yes. We have a nifty hand held travel scale. The weight limit on suitcases is my husband’s limit. I lug the carryons till we drop them off at airport checkin.
  12. Today was an early start to pre-cruise preparation. All outdoor plants watered and watering cans left out filled to the brim so house sitter will water as needed. Supposed to be a hot one today. Preparing us for the Caribbean. Today is also down sizing of outfits. I try to only pack in ways that I can mix and match 9 formal tops with 4 dressy pants. Add to that shoes, swimming wear as well as pjs and undies. Of course having worked as a nurse for many years we also in addition to our prescription meds take over the counter meds. Just in case. No matter how hard we try we always overpack. Also found some trivia about the Allure. I wish they would have trivia about RCI ships instead of games like music trivia. But for now my goal is to decrease our clothes selection. I think I’ll start with the Spouse. 😜. Take care. Sea you later.
