We are seniors and are platinum on both Carnival and Princess The longer cruises on Carnival have more adults and no rowdiness! We really like the comedy club on Carnival We Sail more often now on Princess because we book suites and enjoy the suite perks that Princess offers Iam sure you will enjoy a 10 day cruise on Carnival

Hi all This is our first Hal cruise When I tried to make an account the computer told me I already have one I had to go through changing the password to get in to see it When I did I saw that I had a Mariner no already The problem is that I need one for my husband and When I tried to go through the same steps for him the computer didn't let it go through Is there any way to find his number without making him his own account? I do all the communicating with cruise lines and hes never had to go to a cruise web site

Doesn't look right at all! We just paid a $600 deposit for a cruise priced over $10,000

Dont know what ship you were on but there's an ice cream place on the Lido deck It has milkshakes

Why not just call your credit card and show them the screen shot if needed That should be a simple fix

Thanks for all the good information We generally,like the smaller ships so that sounds OK We will definitely book the Neptune suite as the lower end one is more like a mini suite on Princess which we don't like DH likes as much space as possible! We enjoy time in our cabin and on our balcony Mexico cruises for us are like time in an Ai resort I'm hoping that after a while DH will go back to flying as I enjoy exploring the ports more than just relaxing on board As you all know marriage is about compromising and for now thus works well for us

I just realized that the ship,is the Volendam NOT Koningsdam Yes I will ask Waiting to hear back from our TA

In the regular dining room area,not club class,folks had the same table each night with the same wait staff This was on the Grand You can make a res for the time you want to eat on the app When you arrive just tell the team that you want that same wait stafeecwhen you come each day

Thank you for answering It looks like if we book a high end suite we getnmost of the Club Orange benefits Well have to see if booking a lower end cabin and then adding Club Orange is a better value It's a fun job checking into all this!

We are considering our first Holland America cruise Dh is tired of flying and Holland has some cruises leaving out of San Diego Most recently we've been booking suites on Princess and so we are used to their separate club class area where we can arrive at anytime and have a table for 2 each night What can you tell me about dining in the mdr on the Konigsdam? Thanks for any advice you can offer

For an early flight I d not book Princess transfers I'd want to get off the ship,fast and into a taxi immediately instead of needing to wait for the Princess bus

Information from my experienced TA differs from what has been said here! I was told that it is non refundable and can only be used for excursions We have lots,of other OBC so it was OK with us to use it in that manner

As I said in my post above,the app for me appeared to charge by asking if you wanted to use your credit card BUT it never actually charged anything! If you are in a full suite then in the end no charge will go through

We book on the app ahead of time It often shows the cost as if you were paying with your credit card BUT the charge doesn't actually go through We have never been charged The Crown Grill is great!

It's interesting to me that many cruisers don't see travel as a way to experience new customs/traditions and instead want to bring their home experiences along on the trip. I wonder what a Hawaiian new years tradition might be? I doubt a stay at a Hawaiian hotel would offer collards and black eyed peas

I've never seen or thought about using a Princess port guide I research ports on line where there is tons of info about every city in the world I also use the Trip Adviser forums to ask questions and get info from local,people,or,folks who have been there multiple times I can't imagine being upset about not getting that info from Princess

We just use the old fashioned paper Patter Very easy to see everything!

I use Whatsapp for calls and texts using wifi on board and everywhere else I travel

The area was on the left side of the big room next to the doors that led onto the ship The sign only said Elite The workers didn't know that suites should be on the sign too The area had water,juice, and pastries They did not have anyone escorting suites to the cabin as they do in the LA terminal

I agree that the wine situation sounds ridiculous! We were on the Aug 31 sailing and there was a separate area in the terminal for Elite/suite guests it actually just said Elite but that b is where we s a t and we're allowed to board early There was no sign saying suites could also go there but that's what we did anyway

Towel animals seem to be a Carnival thing and not a Princess custom It always surprises me to hear people,want so much service I guess everyone travels differently

I don't think safety is an issue I like walking but wouldn't bother doing it with wheeled luggage Certainly up to you We're usually eager to get to the terminal and get on board so for us quicker by shuttle is better
