I take most pix on shore I often take pix from our balcony while sailing I order drinks from actual.people or servers so no need for the app I can find my husband using the medallion which is around my neck I use wifi on.my.phone but mostly in our cabin We sail in suites and enjoy the cabin and don't drag the phone around I think folks who leave purses and phones lying about unattended are taking a risk that I wouldn't take There are no guarantees of safety for your items just because you're on a ship People are people everywhere

We've done 3 cruises so far with the medallion and app I don't carry my cell phone around on the ship at all! It's totally unnecessary

Thanks Scott I thought I read a previous post of yours where you described using BART from Oakland to the Embarcadero which made me think we could do the same from San Francisco I agree that taxi/uber/lyft is the easiest

Thanks for an interesting history lesson As an x Nyrker who was raised using public transit I would still be reluctant to take luggage onto a bus or a street car We travel very light with only carryon and maybe a backpack so I guess it might be possible We shall see when we get there and I can decide how energetic we feel

Keep names all the same on important documents Agree that you should book in whatever name c will be on passport etc If not using passport then temember name must match drivers license and birth certificate

Haven't been to San Francisco in ages First time cruising from there Planning to use BART to get to hotel near the Powell Street station. Why would Holland h ave more trouble getting good staff than Princess?? To me it is a poor management issue and not a hiring issue! I would not make excuses for this If I continue to read these horrible service descriptions I will just cancel our cruise We enjoy having lovely leisurely dinners with great service

Wow!! We just booked our first Holland cruises and reading these comments makes me cringe! I know cruisemom from the Rome forum on Trip Adviser so appreciate her comments but still .....We've done 3post covid cruises on Princess with excellent mdr service! I expect the same on Holland We'll be in a Neptune suite on the Volendam Hope it's better by December 2023

Really annoying !! Can see other cabins but suite can't be seen for May27,2023 They are not sold out as my TA got us one but I can't see them myself!

We are not flying into Canada I had no trouble downloading and using the app for our cruise in September from NYC to Quebec City Our cruise this time is going from San Francisco to Alaska with a port stop in Victoria I don't believe Arrivecan is necessary for that 1 stop I think it's like previous posters have said that th e emails have not caught up to the change 8n procedure

I thought we didn't need Arrivecan any more We booked a cruise for 2023 that stops in Victoria and Princess sent an email this morning which included instructions to download Arrivecan What's up with t h at???

Price match what? Who would they be matching? If someone Iis offering a lower price then book with them

It's $35 here in California It seems silly to get itvif you have a passport It seems stupid that you can't use your passport to prove you are a citizen and need all kinds of extra proof to get the real ID driver's license I refuse to deal with stupid beaurocracy

Real ID is NOT just special driver's licenses! You can use your passport or your Global Entry card if you have one

We have always been light packers I have not checked a bag for at least,10 years! The carry on suitcase has each of our clothing Then we have a backpack or tote bag with meds electronics etc

Just curious New to Holland so wonder why you need a PCC if you have your own TA? What will they do for you that's better? We have a TA that we love so in wonderment about this??
