Looking for bridge players on the Divina TA, May 15
Essiesmom replied to Dentark's topic in MSC Cruises
The place for this is on your roll call, and I see you found it and have posted there. EM -
Welcome to Cruise Critic. But you are on the wrong board. This one is for those having technical difficulties using the forums. The better place for this would be the Alaska board, under Ports Of Call. That said, you pack layers, especially something for rain. EM

You could ask this on the Silversea board here. EM

Customer Service Sea Sickness Pill on the Constellation

Before Covid there was a wal dispenser outside the medical center. EM -
Parking has changed a lot since 2014. Even since 2017 which was my last JAX cruise until after the pandemic. This is where parking was back then...way off to the right. I sailed again in March 2022, and again in March 2023. Parking is now right in front of the ship. It's off to the left now, I'm standing on deck, and can see my car in the lot. You drive around to the striped patch by the blue canopy and drop off your checked bags. Then go park. The cream canopy leading right from the blue is the walkway to the terminal. I believe the website tells you to take the bypass and get off at Hecksher drive. I prefer to continue on I-95 and get off at Zoo Parkway/Hecksher Drive. The drive is about five miles, but there are two causeways at the end where you can get a great view of the ship. Unfortunately there is no place to pull over for pictures since they four-laned the road. But those in the passenger seats with cameras poised might manage a shot or two...EM

Panama Cruise: Which Ports Offer Things To Do Near the Port
Essiesmom replied to ajtraveler66's topic in Panama Canal
My favorite port is Puerto Quetzal, but it’s a long bus ride to Antigua. But so worth it if you are into history, ruins, culture. The Mayan people reminded me of the hill tribes of Thailand. EM -
Granted, it’s been 11 years since I last sailed HAL but I found if the cruise was 7 days BUT could be booked as a 14 day collectors voyage, the menus did not repeat over the two weeks. Even on our 24 day collectors voyage, the menus did not repeat. However, entertainment is not as easy to vary. EM

Carnival Spirit 4232 Aft balcony extended divider
Essiesmom replied to uapyro's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
It’s been many, many years since Carnival stopped allowing the balcony dividers on the aft balconies of Spirit class ships to be opened. Ten, maybe 15 years. So, don’t plan on it. Every time I pass the aft of a Spirit class ship I look, and no dividers are ever open. EM -
I have pulled up the deck plans for Euribia, and I can see what they might market as super family cabins. On the portion of deck plan below (deck 9) there are dark blue OV cabins forward that connect. Each cabin has a double dot symbol, which is a bunk sofa…it opens up to an upper and lower bunk. The Diamond symbol shows they have a double foldout sofa. So each cabin could theoretically hold six. Further down there are balcony cabins that connect. One has the bunk sofa and the other a triangle which is a single sofa bed.

Euribia just started sailing, and there doesn’t appear to be anyone with experience on her to answer your questions. I can give some probable answers. Yes, they will have large tables in the MDR. On Seaside we were seated at a table for 14. There were three seatings, and there were many, many empty seats at the earliest seating. But our waiters said second and third seatings had more than 14 at the table. I doubt there will be tables that large in the buffet. There will be screens around the ship where you can use your cruise card to book seats at the shows in the theater. I’ve not yet sailed on a ship that had the extra pay shows. There will be ‘formal’ nights, but nice casual clothing will be fine. There is usually a white night with party. There will be many languages spoken and English will certainly be spoken by most of the staff. Since the ship will be sailing in Europe, Americans will likely be a minority. We found sailing MSC from the US, maybe 40% of the guests were from Europe, and they tended to dress more presentable than many Americans, especially in the evenings. I do not believe you have to register for the kids club. On some of the newer ships there are connecting cabins that make a super family cabin. The deck plans I see for Euribia are pretty basic, so I can’t tell what they are. You would need to talk with an MSC rep to find out. I hope that this helps some. EM

It is either sold out, or a full charter. EM

Anyone ever had Carnival lose your luggage?
Essiesmom replied to love4monsters's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I did a B2B on Splendor out of Long Beach and on turnaround day ca couple of suitcases appeared at my door. I was in the same cabin both legs, and these bags had my cabin number on the tags. I told the steward and they were removed. EM -
Are bras and panties included with tops and bottoms? What are you sleeping in? EM

All I remember about it is that it was sung at the farewell ceremony handing QE2 over in Dubai at the end of her final cruise. (I wasn’t there…).

MSC Poesia Northern Europe Sep 12 2023 - Sep 30 2023

Have you checked to see if there is a roll call for your cruise? EM -
I’ve already voted, and commented, it I just booked another cruise this morning, online. Sometimes I think it depends on how familiar you are with the cruise line, and how well their website works. EM
-
We have a board here for that. It’s called Florida Departures, located under North American Homeports. EM

My view is that is where the lowest gty price was, but all of the limited quantity has been sold. Probably all one of them…it’s kind of like clickbait. EM

Cruise Train Vs Coach Transfer to Whittier
Essiesmom replied to pintail1's topic in Holland America Line
I think the OP is asking about the transfer TO Whittier, not to Anchorage. My transfer from the Capt. Cook Hotel did not make any stops, but did have nice narration. EM -
Celebrity edge- which magic carpet suite is best.
Essiesmom replied to Octavias's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Since your question is ship specific, you should be asking on the notary here for that cruise line - Celebrity. EM
