  1. My favorite is cruisetimetables.com. Not all ports publish a schedule. Cruisemapper also has schedules, as does crew_center. EM
  2. OP, with your choice of departure ports, I am wondering where you are coming from? Since you are considering north to mid Florida, and Charleston, you might also consider Elation out of Jacksonville. Very easy port to get to, and she is twin to Paradise. EM
  3. All of the Spirit class ships have an interior promenade on deck 3 forward. It goes all the way around the bow outside the theater. On Pride it is the Sunset Garden, on Spirit The Jungle, and I see on Miracle it is Gatsby’s Garden. There are tables and chairs for 2 by windows where you can sit and watch the ocean. Most of the people you see there are crew passing through, or guests exploring. EM
  4. Does anyone use film anymore? I left it behind when I got my first digital camera in 2004. But I have a query from a great nephew about where to start. He apparently does a lot of hiking and thinks he would like to try taking some pictures with a film camera. I really don’t know where to start. I’m looking for places for him to research the idea, for a person born in 2002 who has likely never used anything but a cellphone camera. My first suggestion is to find a real camera store to visit and ask for info. Go to a bookstore and see if any of the photo mags still mention film. And there is Mr. Google. Sooo…any advice I can pass on? EM
  5. We need more information, such as which ship, and if you are bringing a scooter, or renting one. And are you sailing solo, or with a partner. EM
  6. For a difference of $40 the convenience of being able to offload luggage and passengers and then park right there is better than parking, taking a shuttle with luggage, then doing it in reverse after the cruise. EM
  7. So are you saying that you got a group quote from the cruise line, but didn’t actually book then. Rather took the quote to a TA who booked the cruise? And the TA is making up her own group fare? I’m confused…. EM
  8. We were on a cruise over Labor Day in 2019 which was extended from 7 to 9 days, repeated Cozumel and Costa Maya….plus an overnight in Miami before we could fly home. EM
  9. With the cancelled cruise, did you get one FCC for the two of you, or was it one for each? I think the OBC goes with the FCC…. EM
  10. One thing you need to know about Istanbul: you arrive on Saturday and leave on Sunday. If you book a tour which includes the Grand Bazaar, do it for Saturday because it is closed on Sunday. Also, click on the three little dots in the upper right corner of the post I quoted, and ask the mods to remove the name of your travel agency, as it is against the forum guidelines (you did read them?) to name or discuss travel agencies. EM
  11. It’s a chain of bar/restaurants in the Caribbean/Mexico/Bahamas
  12. Savannah to Singapore; Savannah to Buenos Aires. Also Savannah to Tonga, but that wasn’t for a cruise. Savannah to Kathmandu, also not a cruise. EM
  13. This is the far end of the parking lot Drive to the cross hatch place by the blue awning and unload your bags to be checked, and passengers. The cream cover leading off the blue is the walkway to the terminal. You can tell the HC spaces by the painted lines. Ramp from terminal to ship is at right. These were taken from Spirit in March. Directions to the port will have you getting on the bypass and getting off at Heckscher Blvd, but I prefer to stay on I95 to the exit for Zoo Parkway/Heckscher Blvd and approach from the west. It's about five miles, but there are two places where you cross on a causeway and get good views of your ship. The second place is in the last two pictures. Unfortunately, since they widened the road to four lanes, there is no place to pull over and take a picture, but if the person in the passenger seat has their phone/camera out and ready, you might get a shot. Especially if traffic is not bad and you can slow down. EM
  14. Parking is right by the ship. Lots of HC spaces. $17/day, don’t know if they have special deal for HC cars. EM
  15. The OP has continued the discussion on the Royal Caribbean board. She appears to be on Voyager of the Seas, probably in Europe as they are in Ireland. EM
  16. If so, it would be a cruise line thing, because MSC and Costa embark new guests at every port in their itineraries. EM
  17. Unless I am on a ship myself, I’ll be on the cams. The forum is sea cruise chat dot com. Just leave out the spaces. That takes you to the canal schedule, and in the upper left, click on forums. Then scroll down to Panama Canal transits, and you will see what we do. I take the screen shots for that forum, but if there is a live from thread here, I’ll post there too. EM
  18. It sounds as if you have worn yourself out because you didn’t/don’t understand that if you are not Aurea or Yacht Club, you have fixed dining, and that’s it. No changing. You adapt, they don’t. EM
  19. The Pan American pier, across the harbor, is usually for Royal and Celebrity for their ships that sail R/T from San Juan. EM
  20. Go back three pages to a thread Celebrity lost all my luggage. There is discussion there about tracking tags. EM
  21. Take along the proctored home tests. Check to see if Royal will test on ship and if not, use the proctored ones. EM
  22. The passageways around the bow on deck 3 of Spirit class ships. The piano bars. EM
  23. If you want the title of the thread changed, click on the three little dots in the upper right of your original post. Click on report. In the comments, ask the mods to change the title and suggest what you would like. EM
