  1. No It's per cabin. If you both had 100 shares (of your own) and you had 2 cabins yes you get for each cabin as long as 1 of you were booked in each cabin.
  2. Did you ask why it just couldn't be re-fared at the prevailing rates? Did you book at least some of the excursions with OBC? I do suspect that has something to do with it.
  3. The disadvantage of the FCC is it will be based on the price paid for the missed sailing. I'm sure the sailing on the 16th is probably significantly more. Having said that FCC is a nice good will gesture that they certainly don't have to do in this situation. A year ago when they had lots of empty cabins on all sailings they may have been willing to move them to another sailing. At this point they can probably still sell that cabin at prevailing rates.
  4. You just have to show proof of 100 shares in the name of one of the passengers on the reservation. If it's rejected I always ask why, then they seem to magically approve. I always send a page of my latest statement with everything except RCL redacted. I leave my name and the date of the statement visible.
  5. This isn't RCL! Totally different situation. The numbers of Zenith are a fraction of the Pinnacle on RCL. It's virtually impossible to get to Zenith these days without sailing in suites. Yes some Zeniths (myself included) no longer sail in suites because we are forced to pay for benefits we get complimentary with status). But I think you will find on most sailings a good number of the Zeniths are in suites anyway. Most sailings there are less than a dozen Zeniths total onboard. Some of the unique itineraries have numbers up in the low twenties but the announcement addressed the crowding issue where additional lounge space will be provided when required. I think you will find Celebrity Zenith passengers are polite, well traveled, well behaved people who can be a joy to converse with. You probably won't even know who they are until you notice they aren't dining in Luminae😀
  6. To me it's a bad thing. Even the current status matching has made things like the Elite cocktail hour unmanageable on some sailings. They also said that they wanted to keep Zenith very hard to get to. If for some reason combined the RCL Pinnacle it would explode that level to a point where the perks would have to be scaled way back. I don't see how they can combine points on the different lines without severely impacting the program.
  7. Not true. We were there in May with a guide we booked through Tours By Locals. We told him no shopping or carpet stops. Was not an issue.
  8. You can go to your room at embarkation and drop your carry on bags and put stuff in the safe. You seapass cards will be in the mail holder at your stateroom door. They ask that you then leave the cabin and wait for the 'cabins are ready' announcement in public areas.
  9. DW got hers but I never get any CC emails I've tried to fix for years but never happens.
  10. Also reported lately is that the GTY rates are new bookings only so I expect the answer will be no. I believe if it's a regular (pick your cabin) rate you should have better luck. But I think they are using GTY rates to avoid this situation.
  11. Sure seems like it lately😀 I think we all realize the changes are mostly driven by cost savings to improve profits. For vaping however I guess it was to attract new customers. I will restate my question. Who are these people they are taking direction from? From my perspective it doesn't seem like it's their "most loyal" customers that they kept referring to.
  12. She kept implying they are listening to the customer. Who were all these customers who were looking for vaping in the Casino? I do appreciate that they listened to the overwhelming majority who want no vaping in the casino. To me whomever they are listening to are not those "most loyal" customers they were talking to today. I agree that it was well scripted to "address" the concerns sent in. I particularly like the cover for the butler change. The example given was tea at 3 pm. It was several years ago they discontinued in-room tea service and you need to go to the Lounge for tea. Yes they say it can be requested but you will be informed that tea is in the lounge. I'm sure if you push..... They also couched the change as elevated service. Oh wait the upper suites aren't offered this elevated service. Overall it was probably the best webinar they have done to date. I'd like to see them do it 2-3 times per year to increase communication. I also wish they would form a focus group of us "most loyal" customers (or any of their customers) to run some of these changes by before implementation.
  13. Actually well written and clear communication, unusual for Celebrity. Specifically stating that it's lounge only and doesn't include sundeck or Luminae which is what it has always been.
  14. Here are part of the T&C for the Book Later booking which is in my cruise docs for my sailing in 3 weeks. I always thought you had 6 months to select a sailing or you didn't get the OBC and it would be refunded after 1 year. Looks like they changed it to refund after 6 months but butchered the cut and paste. Your T&C might be different than this. Since it seems to be refundable I don't see why you couldn't request a refund at any point. A Book Later reservation does not guarantee stateroom or sailing availability or cruise price until you convert it to a confirmed booking by selecting a ship and sail date and paying all required deposits. It must be converted to a confirmed booking within (6) months after the Booking Date in order to be eligible for the future onboard credit. If not converted within one (6) months from the Booking Date, you will not receive the onboard credit and your deposit will be refunded.
  15. But if they tap the RFID in the card it brings up your account. On the restart they were only asking for cabin numbers so they could be "touchless". More recently I've seen them "swiping" cards more. In the theater is is very easy for them to swipe the wrong card for the wrong drink as they have a stack of cards for the many orders they take at a time. I've even received the wrong card back in the theater.
  16. I keep scanned copies in a folder on my google drive so I can access from anywhere.
  17. Usually on X they are required to be covered by a sleeve or a neck covering. I think I heard on one ship recently the HD was allowing them to be shown.
  18. You probably want to join the roll call. I wouldn't be surprised if extend your stay is not offered on this sailing although it does show in cruise planner. I would think as soon as they finish disembarkation they will depart for the shipyard. I think you would be better off heading to the hotel and checking your luggage with them and doing some sightseeing. Valuables may be an issue, possibly hotel would have a safe deposit box at the front desk? Do be careful in Barcelona like any big tourist city about pick pockets.
  19. I always take a photo of the account screen on the TV just before disembarking. Many years ago there was an issue with many people getting charged for the full contents of the mini bar after the sailing. You just had to notice it on your credit card bill. Happened on about 3 consecutive sailings each being around $150 over charge. It was taken care of with a phone call but how many people don't notice? I had a similar case with an Avis car rental in the last couple of months. Returned car to small airport, attendant was in the lot and just took the keys. Evidently he didn't check the car in until a couple of hours after my plane departed. Ended up with an extra hr on the bill to the tune of over $100. I called and they took the hour charge off but didn't unwind the extra day on all the taxes. Wasn't worth $20 to me to call again.
  20. I believe the Amex Priority Pass doesn't include the Restaurant benefit. That may be only for Chase cards.
  21. This sort of bothers me as I've already paid gratuity for my MDR meals.
