  1. I also stayed at the Gloucester Millennium many years ago on a business trip. It was very nice at the time. Since then I have returned to London several times on personal trips and now enjoy the hyde park kensington gardens area. We love to walk through the parks. Pre-pandemic we stayed at the Thistle Hotel and found it nice and reasonably budget friendly.
  2. Yes I didn't notice that. Type F is what's on the ship.
  3. If you just want to take the charging stuff you have then you probably just want to add a Type F to Type B adapter. Just make sure the chargers you take with you are dual voltage, most are. Here's one at Walmart for $3 https://www.walmart.com/ip/1PC-European-Plug-Adapter-Schuko-Type-E-F-Worldwide-Universal-Travel-Converter-for-Germany-France-Korea-Russia-Netherlands-Denmark-White/1013752442?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101185215&adid=22222222227000000000&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=42423897272&wl4=aud-1651068665426:pla-51320962143&wl5=9009741&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=613484115&wl11=online&wl12=1013752442_101185215&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAjw5MOlBhBTEiwAAJ8e1oK2KTfoSWFhd7dYK9tat_VwdHYFVrd8KVE4Pa1MRM4gvYIGfdcqgxoCGYAQAvD_BwE
  4. Ok then the Aqua is considered different. My early comment was not based on Move Up but several years ago the Reflection has AS which was subsequently recategorized as S1. At that time I several times did a suite GTY and got assigned an AS. Now they are trying this Aqua Suite thing again and trying to assign a significant value difference from Sky Suite. I don't see it but who knows. Back to your MoveUp, if you bid for Sky Suite you will be assigned S3, S2, S1. It really depends on where the open inventory is and as others have said what the chain reaction moves will generate in terms of $$$.
  5. German TA site I used to look at available cabins still lists the sailing but there are no cabins available. The sailings before and after still show availability. I do wonder if it is sold out. Panama Canal sailings are popular. Doesn't explain no excursions though.
  6. I wouldn't bet the bank on what one person said about refunding a particular caller's NRD. It certainly doesn't constitute a "doing the right thing" policy. I bet even that customer will have to fight for it as they said. Hopefully this will be a failed test and policy will be the same as before.
  7. Move up to a Sky Suite you could get S3, S2 or S1 and maybe Aqua Suite. Not sure about the last one since they re-introduced that category.
  8. They do put a printed card in the stateroom referencing the gift and who it was from. But it's a good idea to do something nicer so they know it will be coming.
  9. The best way to book with Celebrity is to take the screen shot, put it on 24 hr hold and call and have them send you the guest invoice then after reviewing pay the deposit. Or get a good TA who will do it all correctly.
  10. How long are your cruises? You keep referencing $100, but the amount for Concierge is $100 only for TA/Repositioning sailings, more for others. Is your B2B2B all a repositioning cruise like the Edge Europe to Australia? I'd hate to think they cheap out and consider those repositioning.
  11. As others have said you need to get on your TA to get this corrected. Here is the chart for the onboard booking OBC. These values have been consistent for several years. The B2B discount (not OBC) is either $50 or $100 per segment based on the number of days.
  12. The answer is no. They were doing this for awhile after the restart to get people to be comfortable booking again but that ended April of 2022.
  13. And maybe if they are pushed to honor these common mistakes they will pressure their IT department to get their x!#$% in order. I had a similar issue with what was presented in the booking summary not match what they actually sold me (invoice). After pushing they eventually honored it. I believe @Kevin is going about this properly. Hopefully he will be engaged by the executive office soon. Please let us know how this works out.
  14. On M class ships all dining rooms share the same galley although there are separate "lines" so it is not that inconvenient to get something from Blu but from my experience they don't always allow I'm guessing because the Blu menu like Luminae is cooked to order where the MDR they can just pick it up off the line. On S class ships the Blu galley is on deck 5 and is very inconvenient to get to from Deck 3 Luminae. I've never been offered Blu menu there. But again Luminae and MDR share the same galley on deck 3.
  15. And that's why the best way to get your opinion to count is to not spend any money in the casino if you are against this policy while this "test" is in progress.
  16. I save the cheap earbuds they hand out on the airplane which I don't use. I try to carry them with me at places and offer them to the offenders. But no the Solarium should be a quiet place and I'd ask the pool butler to either deal with it or call security.
  17. Pre covid it used to be 30 days. Now it can be much before that. Sometimes bids are accepted early other times it's at the 2 days before sailing date. It appears to all be controlled by how much inventory they need to move.
  18. Actually I believe they are covered as part of the "Housekeeping Staff". While I can't say I'm a big "extra tipper" (I do what I'm comfortable with), I always try to tip these people in the evening after someone here on CC mentioned they do. The surprise look and the huge smile far outweigh the $$ spent. It can be hard to catch them though.
  19. I believe the only way travel insurance comes into play here is just as another kick in the teeth. Since Celebrity is refunding all your money including deposit there is nothing to claim. But what happens to your travel insurance policy for which you have already paid the premium? I believe technically the premium is lost. I believe some companies will allow you to move the premium to another trip as a good will gesture. This can be a good reason to open a travel policy only covering the deposit amount (to get the pre-existing conditions waiver) then to increase the coverage as you make additional non-refundable payments. It would limit your loss in a situation like this.
  20. No. There is no penalty for repricing a NRD booking prior to final payment.
  21. Used to be but never know now.....
  22. No you are right. No longer working and cruising way more. When I can get an Oceanview for just over $55 pp/pd I'll do it. We started 20+ years ago in Concierge and did Aqua and Suites but now get Bev Package and Wifi with Zenith so it's only Cruise Only pricing for me.
  23. What's the question? Old price $767 pp with 400 OBC per cabin, new price $957 pp with $100 OBC per cabin. Both prices plus Taxes/Fees. Of course air is the most expensive piece of the trip.
  24. I have done it by calling a couple of times. I had an offer on my Amex card for a Celebrity purchase and I charge my sailings on my CSR card for it's travel benefits. Buying OBC allowed me to take advantage of the offer. You can cash out any remaining refundable OBC from these purchases at the Guest Relations desk on the last day of the cruise (without fee). Jim, suites and Zenith have the 5% fee in the casino waived. Not sure what happens otherwise.
