  1. I would not respond to that call. I would only work with calls I initiated. Personally I always use a T.A. that I trust and know. Others have reported that they have called and work with a Princess PVP. Just a suggestion. You may find better fares and OBC if you use a T.A.
  2. I don't believe that you have to go to passenger services. Believe that is an option.
  3. Correct. There are no scheduled Princess cruise from Europe to Ft. Lauderdale in April of 2024 nor 2025. They go in the other direction, eastbound.
  4. What sounds funny. Payment in full due 90 days prior to sailing date for a 24 day cruise. That's sometime in January. Payments made to the TA and not to Princess. It's never a good idea to place funds into a T.A.'s hand. Always direct to the cruise line. When you book a guarantee cabin you are reserving a specific category. You will receive a cabin somewhere on the ship that equal to or better that the guarantee. In the case you describe it may be that the T.A. has a group of cabins reserved. T.As often do that. In that case the T.A. knows the location of that cabin. I have seen passengers boarding where the T.A. is on board. The passenger sees the T.A. and then gets the cabin assignment. Maybe that is what is going on. Me, I would not get involved and I would never book this way.
  5. Just for information. I booked four b2bs beginning mid January 2025 in June. I used a T.A. She is local. In October the fares were lowered a total of $5,600, and there was some additional OBC. I called her then went over to visit. While I was there she called her Princess contact. All four were handled promptly while I sat there. No problems. So, why this little story. I have always used a T.A., and at this time I believe there are even more reasons to do so and not deal directly with Princess. I have read that some have had good results with PVPs. Right now I'll stick with the T.A.
  6. Yes it makes sense to purchase additional FCDs. If you think you may book more cruises before February 2025 then get the FCDs. Even if you don't book they are fully refundable.
  7. Agree. Booking numbers and days on board are not compatible. Should a passenger that books a 5 day cruise receive the same number of plus/premier benefits as one that books a 16 day cruise? Think of the cost. $150 for a 5 day cruise to receive 2 casual meals vs $480 for a 16 day cruise to receive the same 2 casual meals. It just doesn't make sense. Everything should go by days. The more days on board, the more plus/premier benefits.
  8. And don't call, you will be charged $5 for each call.
  9. If you book a post cruise hotel package with Princess you will receive transportation from the ship to the London hotel. At the end of your hotel stay you will get transport from the hotel to the airport. Princess hotel pricing is per person. If Princess for instance indicates $500 it's $500 per person, $1,000 for two. Princess uses high end hotels.
  10. The poster is correct. Princess has not thought these so called included benefits through completely. Their financial system is set up voyage to voyage, which they think of as one week. They have difficulty thinking differently. But it's not impossible. Lets look at casual dining. I think that a DR meal probably cost Princess more than a casual dining meal. There is more prep, more courses, more galley and restaurant staff. If my assumption is correct then every time a passenger chooses a casual dinner instead of a DR dinner Princess comes out ahead. They really make out if a passenger has the standard fare and pays for the casual dinner. Princess should address this.
  11. Go to the Princess web site. Select find cruisetours. You will be able to see what is currently offered. I have been on cruises that offered overnight tours from the ship, get off at one port and re-board at another. These were long sailings and were in Chile and New Zealand. Again, go to the Princess web site. Select the sailing(s) that interest you. Search excursions for that sailing.
  12. Yes, I always purchase lots of them. Benefits. Limits the deposit for a future cruise to $100, provides OBC, Fully refundable within one year. Here is the fine print. Note that the time is now book within one year, not two as mentioned in the fine print provided. When you purchase the charge is direct to your credit card, not to your on board account. There is no specific advantage to book on board. There may be some sort of good pricing for a specific sailing(s). * This letter has been issued from the Future Cruise Sales Department for a Future Cruise Deposit (“FCD”) in the amount specified above. The FCD is available to use on new future bookings only and is non-transferable. The FCD currency is non-changeable. The FCD is combinable with most publicly offered fares and promotions. The FCD will be automatically refunded if not applied to a new booking created within two years from date of purchase. Once applied to a booking the FCD is considered money and is subject to booking terms and conditions in the Passage contract. Only one FCD per person applied to a booking will provide shipboard credit. Shipboard credit is nonrefundable and only applicable to each FCD purchased and applies to the holder of the FCD only, excluding 3rd and 4th berth guests. Shipboard credit is based on the ship’s onboard currency and is not redeemable for cash. FCDs do not apply to bookings on Charter voyages. Reduced deposit and onboard credits do not apply to bookings 45+ days. The reduced deposit requirement for these bookings may vary based on booking dates, and a fare discount of 3% is provide
  13. Yes you can wear noise cancelling plugs or head gear. No problem and very unlikely there would be any comments.
  14. Post #2 is correct. Note you may have to pay the fee twice, once for each leg of the voyage, even though you have a single booking number. You need to ask once on board. I have not read a clear answer to this. If anyone knows, please comment.
  15. I believe the T.A. I used had some sort of listing.
  16. Lead singers are live. Instrumental backing is sometimes on a track and sometimes live, it depends on the show.
  17. I don't really know the exact answer to your question. I would think the 6:30 time mentioned is the meeting time at the on board location. I expect the tour group would be one of the first off the ship. Post #2 is probably correct. I took a Rome tour once. Some of the popular locations like the Vatican, Coliseum take take hours to tour. Can't imagine you would see very much in the short time in Rome the tour provides.
  18. Most production shows are themed. Many have a live orchestra. One of my favorites is Bravo. Great songs, expanded orchestra, guest vocalist. It's difficult to tell a Broadway musical type story in less than an hour.
  19. Question. Does USPS tracking actually work once the package is delivered from a U.S. post office to a Canadian Post Office?
  20. Use whatever is available now. It may take a few weeks or a year for the 2.0 version to be released, and I expect it will be full of bugs. There is a web version that works fairly well.
  21. It is just like any other port day. Get off, stay on, it's your choice. If you get off you most likely will have to pass through some sort of security when re boarding just like you do at other ports.
  22. I did not review all the other responses. My opinion, and what I do is avoid any of the so called activities hosted by shops on board, such as the jewelry shop. These are nothing more than pitches to purchase their stuff. If you want a spa treatment book it, but be careful. They try to sell you all kinds of items. Like jewelry spa talks are really just sales pitches. Art? Some like these. I dislike them. Attend activities that are hosted by the Cruise Director Staff. These are things like trivia, game shows, karaoke, Zumba like workout, and silly games like putting contests, pool side games and such.
  23. Yes, that is why fully wheelchair accessible cabins were excluded from my posting.
