  1. ON the referenced site there are photos of cabins R749/51. It shows a large window. Port side should be the same. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/Emerald-Princess
  2. If the cabin you want is available then a T.A. can book it. You would have to call them and request that specific cabin. It probably does not show on their site because it probably isn't in their blocked inventory of cabins.
  3. Believe Steelers is on target. Pre-covid I just called Princess, in the easy days of calling, and purchased some wine for friends. They only found out once on board.
  4. Sound funny. Are you on a 10 cruise, 11 day? Assuming you added the plus fare at $60/per day/per person a ten day cruise would cost an additional $1,200, 11 day would be $1,320, without any insurance which you indicated that you did not purchase from Princess. You should have received a new fare which was the original fare plus the upgrade amount. You indicated that you paid that full amount. If you used a T.A. ask the T.A. to investigate for you. If you booked directly then ask your Princess cruise planned. If you booked on line you are out of luck, you have to contact Princess directly. I would get a copy of the Princess Booking Confirmation - Passenger Copy which should state under payment details "Booking is paid in full."
  5. Private flight information is really never required. It is helpful if you booked Princess transfers.
  6. I would speak to Visa and tell them they are not your charges. They do not look like holds. Holds are normally for even amounts, not dollars and cents.
  7. Figure boarding will begin somewhere around 10:30 at the earliest, but most likely around 11am. Boarding begins with priority boarders. Once it begins it goes quickly. There are no passenger events at 10:30 on boarding day. Events begin at sail away. There will be a MDR embarkation lunch starting at noon. Other 'events' are probably the tables set up around the ship to sell things like spa services and upgrades to the plus and premier packages. There usually is some live boarding music in the Piazza.
  8. I see you are on the Regal Princess. Have you booked an HCP cabin? Then no cabin issues. If not then recognize that cabin doors for all other cabins are 22 inches wide. You have to be able to fit your scooters through the door. Scooters can not be left out in the hall overnight. There is no parking area outside the cabin. Inside & balcony cat. cabins have limited space to park scooters. Mini suites and full suites have more open space. If you have not done so you may wish to consider a full suite or a reserve class mini suite. There are some HCP reserve class mini suites on the Regal. Full suites and Reserve Class provide you with access to the Reserve Class dining area. No wait. Show up anytime the DRs are open. .
  9. Are you certain you are on the correct board? I am not aware of a Cagney's on a Princess ship. I think that is NCL.
  10. "we can only use pizza twice for our casual dining. Is it true that we can only have pizza twice without paying for it? " Again whoever you spoke with has no idea of what is going on. On the Crown Princess there should be two options for pizza. One is at Slice by the Lido Pools, open 11am until mid evening. It is walk up. Each day they have regular cheese pizza and one with a topping. The toppings change each day. Ask for as many slices as you want and carry them to a nearby table or to anywhere on the ship. There is no charge. Have as many slices as you want as many times as you like, no limits. I'm not sure about the second option. You used to be able to order a whole pizza from room service. There was a small charge. You could order as many times as you like. The person you spoke with clearly does not have any idea regarding the differences in Princess ships. There are Grand Class, Royal Class, and the smaller Coral & Island ships. All these ships have walk up no charge Slice pizza. Royal Class ships and two Grand Class ships, the Grand and the Sapphire have Alfredo's, named Gigi's on some ships, pizzeria. This is a sit down casual dining restaurant that serves a 3 course meal which can include an individual made to order pizza. If you have the plus fare and you are on one of these ships then you can visit for no charge twice during your cruise.
  11. At U.S. ports believe the deadline to file passenger manifest is 60 minutes before sailing. Cruise lines typically want the last check in around 1 1/2 to 2 hours before sailing so the can comply. Of course each country would have its own laws.
  12. A point of reference. Once you reach 15 cruise credits currently there is no further benefit.
  13. Highly recommend that you take Uber/Lyft to and from the airport. Very easy and private when compared to the Princess bus. I have also taken regular taxis as well as group shuttles.
  14. Whoever you spoke with is dead wrong. No extra charge dining; All Main Dining Rooms open for breakfast & dinner each day and lunch on sea days. Horizon Ct. buffet open 6am until 10 or 11pm in the evening. Never closes during that time. International Cafe, no charge for food items. Open 24/7. Salty Dog Grill and Slice Pizza and Coffee & Cones by the Lido pools. Open 11am until mid evening every day. Room service and Ocean Now. Delivery is included in your plus package a one time fee if you had the standard fare. There is a selection of food items with no additional charge. Some specialty items have an extra charge. Casual dining on the Crown includes the Salty Dog Gastropub in the Wheelhouse Bar, not to be confused with the Salty Dog grill before mentioned. Vines in the Piazza. Two casual dining meals are included with your plus fare. Casual dining has a $15 fee for those with the standard fare or if you dine more than twice. Specialty restaurants include Sabatini's and the Crown Grill. These have a cost of $35 and $39.
  15. This is the Refer a Friend program. From what I read it is non refundable. Take a look at the Princess FAQs: https://www.princess.com/html/global/cc/referral-reward/faq.html
  16. It is walk in anytime the DR is open. Reports have been little or no wait. DR open the same hours as the other MDRs for breakfast and dinner each day and lunch on sea days. On the Ruby the Reserve Class (formally Club Class) DR is the starboard side of Da Vinci DR on deck 6 mid ship. The menu is the same as the MDR with one additional menu item each evening, plus some extras. Service is greatly improved. The Reserve Class mini suite cabins are mid ship, deck 9 on the Ruby Princess. They are the same as other mini suite cabins. Dining is the most important benefit.
  17. As long as cabins are available I don't think if there is a real deadline. If you do book inside the final payment date you have to pay in full when booking.
  18. Good point. But, some have reported on these boards that canned soda is now available with the packages. I'll see for myself in a few months.
  19. A b2b cruise has two different Princess voyage numbers. These are the numbers assigned to each voyage by Princess. Pre-medallion you would find these numbers on your cruise card. If you book a b2b as two different cruises with different booking numbers or as a single cruise with one booking number you receive the same amount of credits. It's one credit per voyage number with additional credits for solos, and full suites. There is no difference related to booking numbers. I'm guessing by mentioning 4 credits you are either in a full suite or a solo cruises. You receive the 4 credits based on there being 2 voyages not 2 booking numbers.
  20. 1 credit per person per voyage (not booking) number. Example: Two 7 day cruises booked as one 14 day booking will earn 2 credits. 1 additional credit for solo in a cabin 2 credits for being in a full suite 3 credits for a solo being in a full suite.
  21. No Link. Your booking begins with any OBC provided through Princess. You can see these amounts by logging into your Princess booking and selecting 'payments.' Any amount that is posted can be used pre-cruise to book excursions. You can not use OBC pre-cruise for booking anything else, example specialty dining. Once on board it is simple basic debit (+) & credit (-) accounting. Assuming you have OBC your on board account begins with a credit balance. Any* on board expense is added to your on board account as it occurs and nets against your account balance. If your account is linked to another such as your spouse then there is a summary account which nets the individual accounts to achieve a single balance. The on board accounting system uses non refundable OBC first and then refundable OBC. A few examples of on board purchases that will net against your account are: On board shop purchases. Beverages or beverage purchases in excess of the plus /premier limits. Specialty or casual dining purchased on board. Daily gratuities**. Wifi**. Room & Ocean Now Service**. Special food that has a charge. Excursions purchased on board. Bingo. Casino play charged to your on board account***. * Future Cruise Deposits (FCDs) are excluded. These are charged directly to your credit card. ** These items are included in the Plus & Premier fares. If you have the standard fare then there is a daily/pp gratuity charge, a charge for wifi internet, and a one time charge for Ocean Now as well as a $5 charge for each phone call order to room service. *** Casino play, slots and tables can be charged to your on board account and will net against any credit balance. However, you must play, win or lose. You can not use the casino as an ATM. Example, charging $100 to your on board account, taking a couple of pulls on the slot and then cash out. If you do this your casino account will be locked.
  22. There is no Cruise Critic roll call for your trip. You may wish to start one. A roll call can attract fellow passengers and you can plan trips together.
  23. Note, Royal Class ships have M6 category Reserve Class mini suites.M6 is not available on Grand Class ships.
  24. Ship excursions pre-cruise as well as onboard. Any onboard purchase including upgrades to premium or plus package as mentioned if you don't already have one of these packages. Casino slots or table play can be charged to your on board account and will net against any credit balance (OBC). Note on the casino. If you charge play to your on board account and it nets against OBC you must play. If you try to use the casino as an ATM by taking a few slot pulls or making one or two table bets and then cashing out your casino account may be locked. The only item that you can not use OBC for is the purchase of future cruise deposits, FCDs. These are charged directly to your credit card.
  25. From what I see on the Princess site the Sapphire arrives in Whitter at 12:30am just after midnight and departs at 8:30pm. There is certainly enough time to handle a tour. The later sailing time allows passengers that are on Princess pre-cruise multi day land tours to reach the ship before it sails south to Vancouver. Regarding the cruise itself while you have probably booked it as a 14 day cruise with a single booking number in reality it is two 7 day voyages b2b. You will clear U.S. immigration/Customs in Vancouver when boarding. On arrival in Whitter there will be no further processing. Whitter can be treated as any other port day. Your onboard account will roll over, and there will be one billing on your disembarkation day. Expect for the most part that menus and shows will repeat, although there may be some different guest entertainers. You will have the luxury to be able to see most of the shows and entertainers over the two week period. Your medallions will be active for all 14 days. Nothing needs to be done.
