  1. Hi! I was hoping to get some feedback from anyone that has upgraded to the Premiere package. Most of the upgraded package has no value to me - everything I drink is covered by Plus, I only need one device wifi, and if we decide to do specialty dining it is only ever one night. However, I do love the idea of the photo package. Whenever the unlimited photo package was available, I always purchased it and got great use and amazing piuctures with it. This might make the upgrade worth it for me. However, I'm hoping to hear from those that have had it - were photographers available as much as pre-Covid, were there ample opportunities to get pictures, what quality were the digital prints, were they on a thumb drive or did you get them by some other means, do the pictures carry over to all in the room (so if 2 adults and 2 children, only adults upgrade but children get pictures taken..are these pictures included)? Would love some input from anyone that has done this! Thanks!
  2. I live in Vancouver, about an 8 minute walk from the port, so if you need anything dropped off to the hotel reach out. I'm assuming they will put you in one of the ones near Canada Place? You might want to ask about the possibility of them bussing you to Seattle - they have definitely done that in the past (literally herd you off the ship straight to a bus that is instructed not to stop until across the border, so technically not "entering" Canada). At least you would be closer to home and back in the US...
  3. So sorry to hear this. It does seem to be the same sentiment so many others have voiced - frankly, I'm surprised that this continues to be the treatment of passengers that test positive. Also a little concerned, as I'm on Royal on September 17th. Hoping you don't feel too sick and recover quickly. How long do you have to quarantine once you disembark in Vancouver?
  4. I had kind of the opposite experience. I had all but given up with Princess following Covid - from fights to get refunds, cancellation after cancellation, slow eroding of elite amenities, and that darned app, I had all but decided that I was done. I tried out Virgin Voyages in Feb/March and fell head over heels in love. Followed that with NCL Bliss in April (one of my faves) and figured there was no longer "room" for Princess in our lives. BUT I had FCCs and I figured I had nothing to lose, so tried out Discovery back in April. It was one of the best Princess cruises we have ever taken - the ship was outstanding, crew above and beyond, loved all the food, entertainment new and improved. I really could not find one complaint (well, maybe the fact they made us get off at the end of the cruise...) So, I went from "Never Again" to buying 3 more future cruise deposits and then booking a last minute Alaska in 2 weeks and a Galveston sailing in December.... My feelings have not changed toward the app, though...
  5. Bon Voyage @Saint Greg - NYC is going to need a fresh delivery of food, drink, and bottled water after your visit! You packed in a lot of stuff - I'm exhausted just reading about it.
  6. I had the same issue...I submitted anyway under Holland but uploaded Princess proof. We shall see what happens...
  7. Looks that way - and make sure you book by tomorrow if you have any plans as there is no solo supplement on sea terrace until August 31st!
  8. Possibly, but the sailing I am on is Alaska rather than West Coast. After 3 days of being "unavailable" it is suddenly available to book again in all categories other than inside. It's so odd!
  9. I would love them to introduce some kind of program where you get a pre-cruise checklist for the elite/suite amenities and you select those you want and those you don't. I would definitely opt out of the canapes, sparkling wine, fresh fruit, fresh flowers...and take the linen spray, lip balm, and sewing kit instead...
  10. Well, no wonder I didn't know - the TA "answers" (updated 12 days ago) still says this:
  11. Wow - that was done quietly...I had no idea the bathroom amenities was no longer a thing and I try to keep on top of all the changes!
  12. There is something odd going on for sure! I'm booked on Royal for Sept 17th and a friend was going to sail, too. When we were talking about it, she was looking for inside rooms - at the time, there were LOTS of insides available. Less than 24 hours later when she went to book, they were all sold out. She then waited a day or two trying to decide whether to go with a balcony - when she went in, the entire sailing was unavailable! We have both been watching daily since then - the insides have never come back as available but balcony/mini/suite do come back on occasion. It's like one day the cruise is available and the next day not...it's very odd.
  13. Valiant Lady Dec 2nd-10th 2023 8 day Caribbean https://virg.in/o6BK I believe it's only the $50 referral loot...but better than nothing!
  14. We had the bags on Discovery in April but they were "hidden" on top shelf of closet rather than on the bed as in the past. We did not have any elite bathroom amenities, just standard shower products. Mini bar was regular set up. We got the canapes, even though we did not request them (nor want them).
  15. Bidding opens Sept 6th for sailings Oct 1st and onwards. Only select ships to begin with. No one would have an invitation yet.
  16. That may be true on longer cruises but definitely not on all/most sailings. The reason that suites are fully booked by sailing is that Princess "upsells" people into them. I have had a number of upsell offers from a balcony to a suite in the past...some have been more than worth it, others not so much.
