  1. Where in this description does it infer it is allowed….It Is an Iron that Is Prohibited. The point of it being USB-charged or a ‘mini travel’ item is of no reason it is allowed…..It Isn’t. So after all of these posts explicitly showing Irons are prohibited, and the ongoing posts are about steamers is someone recommending an Iron?? Please focus on sneaking booze on and Leave the Iron! Den
  2. As pointed out, New Ship & Holiday. The week prior and week after is ~$6K for Sky suite. Not cheap, but….. Suggestion: Dont cruise over Xmas or New Years on the newest ship of the Line. Den
  3. To get the wrinkles out, I just hang my clothes…..on Me! In reality, the only people who notice wrinkles on our clothes….is ourselves! And to answer the OP’s question of where are the steamers and irons well after the fact……ashore or if you bring one, in the security locker. That isn’t done arbitrarily, it is a fire hazard onboard. And OP, I’d stick with the carry-on’s if you thought you could load enough for the cruise and not worry about how ‘wrinkled’ some would end up. All you have to do is mention to others: “Yes, we were able to bring all our stuff in our carry-ons”……Absolutely No One will care about some wrinkle and just be Wowed……and Envious. Den
  4. And there are about 65 Suites on S-Class and 182 on E-Class. Zenith may book Suites at a higher rate than the Norm so may not increase those Class ships by a good deal, and even M-Class may not theoretically be impacted with non-Suite Zeniths that much, but….. I know we like to assume Celebrity Loves to do such things for no common sense reason, but I think @RichYak is right in the overall packing the Retreat Lounges up. Never gone Suite (Yet - going on my Oct ‘22 TA!!) but look forward to a place that has a higher number of experienced cruisers to talk and share with…..I miss the Elite Happy Hr that was run in the Sky Observation Lounge which was fun to talk up cruising! Yes, can do that anywhere, but the social events of more experienced cruisers is always nice……Love the Roll Call events that allow that too. den
  5. Good one! My town use to have a colorful festival, the Mullet Festival! I’d say to watch out for the Biker Crowd….they’d show up, push their way up to the beer booths, wearing their biker vests that showed off their hairy chests and tattoos all over their beer-bellies….then their boyfriends would show up!!! As to the short cruises….not even considering the party-type crowd, I’d not consider one because one of the major pluses of cruising is getting onboard and unpacking for the week/week+. A short cruise means you unpack and then pack up just a few days later….what’s the point?!? Even when I worked, I’d make sure I’d cruise at least a week! den
  6. That’s interesting. Went to the Constellation Roll Calls, selected the month ‘December’ and its not listed. Did as you apparently did and just searched the general Constellation Roll Call and yup, there on the 2nd page with the last post on 20 August. Weird. den
  7. OP, thanks for the info. @jelayne, that type of thing where they offer you a type of voucher at 110% or 125%, but the same itinerary in the future costs more than the voucher has happened on other Lines also. Went through that with Viking and was Not happy; booked a wine cruise in Bordeaux to use their voucher and will not go back to Viking once Ive used the vouchers. den
  8. Its still listed as a cruise to sign up for on the Celebrity website. Had you been active on the Roll Call and its no longer there? Den
  9. I’d call your TA and not Celebrity. Give a few days. I used Chrome also. den
  10. Nice of the OP to come back and thank us for posting info. Enjoy your cruise! We love TA’s. We are on the Edge in Oct out of Rome (Civitavecchia) to FLL and enjoying our Roll Call. Going to meet up with a lot of the others in various social events and so on. Good ports, but great At Sea time! Den
  11. No, you cant bring beer or liquor aboard. Just the wine being discussed. And you can bring bottled water and sodas if you wish. Den
  12. I agree…..The bright red nose and 3ft flipper shoes looked just fine, but that baseball hat would have put me off also!! den
  13. Ohhhh, those things I saw in movies with the flap on the bottom side! My Henley doesnt look that way at all….Its cool not Thermal!! Den
  14. Whats Thermal Underwear???? Den
  15. Did you go back to GR and lodge a complaint?!? Or did you just write them up with a poor evaluation for Not paying you the $5 and reimbursing you $20?? den
  16. Fully understand the collar statement, and gone that route and loved to step it up a bit with a jacket and when I’m Very adventurous, add a Bow Tie! But have also done the Henley that was a bit more sporty than just the buttoned T-shirt look. den
  17. Well, I guess that answers the OP’s question!! Great posts @Izzywiz!! You got us interested in that type itinerary…Wow! den
  18. And Please Please Please Do Not ask about wearing a certain type of bottom half of clothing that are missing most of the legs, usually worn doing yard work or out zipping around in the heat!! Pleeeasssse! Den
  19. If I had a body such as That….I’d wear that too!! den
  20. What the heck is a ‘smart polo style T-shirt’?? You will be told that most anything is OK by some; others will quote the FAQ section, which states no T-shirts….but My opinion is just wear something with a collar, and I Assume that is what is meant by using the word ‘polo-style’….(I hyphenated it to make it one word!!) There is another active dress code thread that covers Everything you’d ever dream of …..or have a nightmare over…wearing ongoing. den
  21. Deleted: Too early in the morning to get smarty! Den
  22. Each of us have good and bad experiences with ship laundry, but we’ve used it a good deal and with no issues. And the standard costs are about what we see with our local laundry….its just most of us dont send in socks and undies (we wash those by hand onboard) that run up the cost. So to me, having the ship do it, discounted or not, just Adds to the vacation. Ill confess, we are E+ so we get a bag or so Each per cruise which certainly covers whatever we want done. Den
  23. We had 6:30pm set dining on 2 Edge and one Apex. We were assigned one of the 4 MDRs and went there the first night. We then asked for each of the other 3 and dined at all. it really isn’t the MDR split into 4 areas. They are 4 separate dining experiences and differing design. enjoyed each. Each have the standard menu which changes each day and the set entrees that are carried every night plus a number of dishes connected to their themes. it makes dining a step above for us. Loved it. you can ask for the menu of one if the other venues if you want to stick with one MDR but I’d strongly suggest you go to each. den
  24. And I don’t recommend the universal international adapter. They are just too bulky, may not fit because of their size if there is a restriction around the plug. when used in a vertical plug, they can fall out because of their wt. i ordered a few Euro adapters, and a few UK and Australian types. Then take what I need for that trip. And for cruising as the OP has asked about and others have suggested, a few Euro Type C adapters. den
  25. I’d suggest you dont take all the ‘extra stuff’ and just be efficient. You’ll surprise yourself on how much you didnt need and the avail or non-avail of laundry wont play into it much. weve really cut back and find it quite liberating, and frees us up in other ways. Many of the ‘extras’ arent laundry items anyway, such as shoes and electronics that we dont use that much at all. den
