  1. Apparently, the Deluxe Balcony staterooms on the Royal class ship are Guarantee only for two passengers. I think they keep them open for 3 or 4 passenger bookings, and then allocate them to the bookings with 2 passengers as the sailing date gets closer. We booked a 10-day sailing on Enchanted for last February in October last year. The only balconies available by then were a Deluxe Guarantee (we had wanted a regular balcony) so we went with it. Even though it was DF category we were assigned a stateroom with the larger balcony on Dolphin (D4) about a week before. So if you want a Deluxe, you have to be willing to accept a Guarantee. I've read where some people have found available Deluxe cabins by doing a mock booking for 3 people, then contacting a PVP to book...
  2. Curacao - there are a number of beaches, we went to Blue Bay resort one time and enjoyed it. The SeaAquarium is not too far from the port. Or just walk around Willemstad, we prefer the Punda side... As someone noted above, check (or have your friends check) the Curacao board in the Ports of Call forum, I'm sure they'll come up with something!
  3. If you booked with a TA, they will need to cancel the cruise and should send you the form to complete and forward to AON.
  4. We did this 6 years ago, if memory serves me we were in the first groups off the ship but don't remember exactly what time it was. The bus ride is about 3 hours. You can either see the Transfers on your Personalizeer (under Travel) or if you used a TA, contact them.
  5. And don't forget their photographer (at least I hope they still have one). On our first trip, he got a shot of me with a sea turtle about 4 feet away - of course I bought the flash drive!
  6. Does your friend snorkel? We had the BEST snorkel trip (twice!) with Woodwind in Bonaire. You can book it independently, and walk to where they leave from. They go around Klein Bonaire, no worries about getting back to the ship on time 😉
  7. I use Stands (extension?) on our desktop to block pop-ups. Haven't had any ads here.
  8. Yep, even before Final Payment, often any price drop re-fare has to be "cancel and re-book," I believe. If that's the case, you need to see how that may affect any OBC or other perks you have with the current booking.
  9. Hated that closet sensor light on our last cruise! We've always found there is enough light coming under the stateroom door from the hallway to find the bathroom, and we bring a nightlight for inside the bathroom.
  10. @JamieLogical, was this on the Enchanted? We ate at the Catch there in February and had no long wait for our food. Did you ask your waiter what the holdup was? Sorry you had that experience, as we thought the food and service was wonderful!
  11. Yes, that is the one we bought before our February cruise, based on a reccommendation from someone on CC. Worked well!
  12. And don't forget, this will all be changing once the ships go to the new dining room system. Hopefully, there will be less confusion.
  13. And Ken regularly (each day?) posts the internet speed that he is getting. Of course, he is in Alaska, so YMMV...
  14. Sorry, when I saw the topic, all I could think was, "Eating Live what...?" 😁
  15. I agree! We've done it this way two times with cruisetours (first time started in Fairbanks, second in Anchorage) for exactly those reasons. We were on the Coral the second time, loved the ship.
  16. We were in D710 on Enchanted in February (same deck plan), never had any noise issues. Nice being close to the aft elevators!
  17. There is an option for "Agency Booking to New Agency" on the transfer request form, so I don't think it matters to Princess as long it's within the 60-day timeline. You should probably check the terms and conditions with your original agency as to whether there's any penalty to you from them? Also, there is a section that says, "I understnad current value-added promotions may not be applicable under the new Travel Agency." I'm guessing that's referring to any OBC or other bennies from the original TA.
  18. @ljandiernp (sorry to hijack thread, Ken) on a number of cruises where we've had an active Roll Call, we've met up for our own informal SailAway, often at the aft bar. Many folks wore Mardi Gras beads to recognize each other, at some there have been name tags, others not. You could float the idea to your Roll Call and see if there's any interest...
  19. I think you can also buy wi-fi at a daily rate so if you only want to check email, etc. every few days or so, that is possible, too.
  20. And if your airline participates in the Easy Check (I think that's what it's called), and most do, it's totally worth the $25/bag charge! You set your bags outside your room the night before, as usual, but you don't see them again until you get to your home airport. You can walk off the ship when you want and go straight through Immigration and out the door.
  21. Also, if you haven't done it before, a whale watch trip with Harv & Marv's is well-worth it!
  22. All OBC is combined in your folio, as far as I know. The gratuity is subtracted each day unless you no longer have a balance, then it is added to the charge at the end of the cruise.
