@beshears, yes, "the Catch by Rudi" - while it offers a steak frites and "Sea & Shore," along with a goat cheese souffle, the rest of the menu is seafood. And wonderful! It is mentioned in many live from/review threads 🙂

There is another thread about this - has to do with the change in laws to include added fees and taxes up front for hotels, resorts, etc. I like knowing what the total cost will be right away, as I do when I book an airline ticket.

@SCX22, thanks! Our staterooms were way forward and just aft of the back elevators, so that clarifies things.

Nope, no lifeboat view from either balcony that we had. Maybe you are thinking of Deck 8?

We did a B2B on Enchanted last February - 20 days! We had to change cabins as the 2nd leg was booked months before the first, but both were on Deck 9. First we had a Deluxe Balcony forward (Deluxe Guarantee was the only balcony option by the time we booked it) and the 2nd leg was a regular balcony just aft of the aft elevators - chose that one because it has the larger balcony. Often walked down to Deck 7, often walked up the two flights, too.

Be sure to spend the extra for a meal at The Catch! Great location on Deck 5 (I think?) and wonderful food and service. Unfortunately, you won't be able to listen to live jazz in Take 5, apparently - big mistake on Princess' part, IMHO.

That's how it is here in USA, too, at least on all the invoices we've received!

On Enchanted (also a Royal-class ship like Discovery), our regular Balcony not Premium) on Dolphin Deck (aft section) had the larger balcony AND the higher table 🙂 But don't tell anyone or Princess will probably take it away!

We just use the clear packing tape - a long piece folded over each side, than taped together after putting through the bag handle. Never have had a problem! We always fly a day early, so they go on the next morning before we leave the hotel.

😭 The jazz in Take 5 was so nice to listen to each night. It was full most of the time, and the bar staff was great!

Or just do the "anytime" dining, show up and ask to be seated at a shared table. Unless you really don't want to wait in line.

The OP referenced "security" lines, which I took to mean the scanners that you and your carryons go through, didn't say anything about CBP. I don't know if 500 people arrive on the train at the same time, but do remember lots of buses whose arrival tines seemed to be staggered. In February we boarded the Enchanted at Port Everglades - when we arrived around 11 there were long lines outside the terminal. We soon learned that while the process had started and a some people had boarded, it was soo shut down while local police (and maybe Customs?) were searching the ship. We waited over 90 minutes before we started moving and then once through security had to wait another hour or so - both Blue and Green lanes! Princess had nothing to do with the delay...

I'm thinking the OP was talking about the initial line to go through the scanners?

We have used tea lights but find our low-voltage led nightlight works better for us.

If your phone supports wi-fi calling, she can call you directly if you are connected to the internet. You can also use messenging apps (e.g., WhatsApp, Messenger) with her. If you don't use either options there is a number to contact the ship as mentioned above, it may be in your Travel Summary, too?

@surrocruiser, there should be a dining room available during the day for people to play board games. I know there are those who grab tables by the pool or the buffet and sit there for several hour playing cards, etc. but that does not allow others to use the tables for eating...

As noted above, should be no problem. DH uswd his with lanyard, was more than 6 inches from pacemaker, or could put on belt loop or wrist. He was also told that the security scanners are not a problem as long as he doesn't stop in it. But check with your cardiologist or device manufacturer.

We also found it helpful if we were waiting for our friends to see if they had left their cabin or where they were on the way. As someone mentioned above, we had given each other permission to do the tracking.

@MsTabbyKats, re your chocolate question - on the Enchanted in February, there was a Chocolate Buffet in the Horizon the 2nd to last sea day. Don't know if it will be done on the Island but you can always hope!

I think our taxi fare from the cruise terminal to the airport in February was $13-15, just for a ballpark figure.

The Caribbean boards in the Ports of Call section generally have information on taxi fares to various beaches on the islands. I also googled taxi fare information. Cash also works for renting loungers and umbrellas on the beach. I always take a little more than I anticipate to need...

We did a B2B in February on Enchanted, first leg in D152 (Deluxe Balcony) and second in D710 (regular balcony). Both had a bigger balcony, which we love. More Deluxe than regular balconies on Dolphin deck have the bigger balconies, but there are a few in the aft section.

OH, would hate to see this! We loved Take 5 in February, spent time each night listening to the awesome jazz trio, and it was full most evenings. Wish they would just make the whole casino non-smoking instead!
