  3. I understand about booking for space. But as the prices are getting higher we've noticed the the service is declining.
  4. Interesting. We got off the Apex a week ago. Never had that impression of the ship.

  6. Yes, Jennifer was our contact as well. Her initial email came on Oct. 24th. Fortunately we had few requests for her as I had already made all of our Specialty restaurant reservations online. The few items I did request for the Suite were delivered by our Butler shortly after we arrived on board. The only disappointment we had was even though I informed Jennifer when each of us would be celebrating our birthdays, mine was the only one that she remembered. It was definitely unfortunate that we missed each other on board. I hope we get the opportunity to sail together again in the near future. 🍷 It was definitely unfortunate that we missed each on board. I would definitely let Corporate know. Every guest should be given the same level of service.
  7. We had a totally different experience and we were in the same “lowly” Suite category. 😊 Unfortunately not all employees provide the same excellent service. Did you express your disappointment to the Retreat Manager on board?

  9. That's what’s great about having choices. X offers a variety of different ships. We have no need to look elsewhere for “alternatives”. YMMV.

  13. What I find fascinating is that so many people (not referring to you 😊) rate their favorite ships by the number and “quality” of the Bars on board. This has been very illuminating. 🍷

  16. Not useless at all. 😊 They want to make sure that the people who will be personally delivering your luggage directly from the Terminal to your Suite have trolleys, if necessary, to carry all your luggage.
  17. You could keep an open mind and wait to experience Luminae for yourself. 😉 We have been sailing in suites on X exclusively for many, many years and have never found service in Luminae to be overwhelmed or chaotic in any way.
  18. We were on the same sailing, also in a Celebrity Suite, ate primarily in Luminae and agree with you about Luminae. 👍
  19. We loved the updated design of the theater on Apex. Literally no bad seat in the house. The stage area has state of the art electronics that are amazing and really add a wow factor to the shows. Looking forward to seeing the same on Beyond.
  20. You can show up earlier than that, but no one can board until the ship is cleared and the Captain gives the OK. On our recent Apex cruise from Civitavecchia that happened around 10:30 am.

  22. The card holders should be new (unused) for health reasons. If you do not find one in your Suite, ask your Butler to provide one for you.
  23. They are very sturdy and convenient. I have quite a few and use them to put my ID's, credit cards, Driver's License, etc. in. And they slip very nicely into my pockets.

IMO, considering the increase in all Suite prices paid these days, everyone should expect “a certain level of service”. 😉 I agree wholeheartedly that no one should be happy with “whatever service” we receive. I find this topic quite relevant. On our Apex cruise last week it was the first time in 20+ X cruises in Suites that we found our Butler to be so bad that we came very close to speaking to the Retreat Manager to request service from a different Butler. Instead we tried talking to him but he he admitted and insisted that he was doing what he considered was best for us, not what we wanted or even asked for. His attitude was quite insulting. He received a smaller than our usual tip. We will rate him appropriately on the survey we just received from X.
