  1. Let's keep both of our fingers crossed that X will keep the CC points as they are. 😉🍷
  2. You have hit the nail on the head. I also agree with you that regardless of Loyalty status, that most of those customers will continue to book suites.
  3. I agree with everything you said, but… I disagree with your thought that those of us who are not X's target (under 40's) are less valuable financially. Overall, our age group has more disposable income and more free time available to fill cabins than those who are still working full time jobs. Do I care that X doesn’t represent us in their advertising? Not one bit. When I watch their ads on TV, I'm not looking at the impeccably dressed Models, I'm looking at their ships and wishing I was back on board. 😉
  4. At the Veuve Clicquot dinner they serve different Champagnes which are matched to each course of a specially planned meal. It is pricey $$$.
  5. We will be sailing on Apex. Looking forward to trying the new dishes.
  6. The menu is on the App for our sailing and Filet Mignon is listed. It is probably a standard item.
  7. Sample menu or not, we're booked. 😊

  10. So, it's the principal of the matter..? X has already considered their strategy in “these financially challenging times” as Suite bookings are at an all time high. Personally I don’t think all those people are thinking about how many points they will get for their bookings. We have never booked a cruise on X, or any other cruise line to get points or benefits. I will agree those are nice, but we cruise because we enjoy it.
  11. I'm pretty sure X could designate someone on each ship as a “Zenith Concierge”. Has that ever been proposed ?
  12. We have it booked for an upcoming cruise. Looking forward to seeing if it meets the expectations. It's one way to use the OBC. 😉
  13. I drink red wine and whiskey too. But I really enjoyed the 3 G Martini a X bartender made for me when I told him I didn’t care for Martinis. 🍸
  14. When X first introduced the robes we were on the Edge in a Sky1 Suite. At the end of the cruise we had a bit of OBC left. We asked our Butler if it was possible to purchase the robes and what would the cost be. He came back, the answer was “yes, $50 per robe". We said “sold” and he brought us 2 new robes still in their plastic wrapping. That was the best $100 OBC we ever spent.
  15. That is unbelievable, and sad. Curious, which ship were you on? We were on the Edge in March and dined in Luminae. Though the dress code is “relaxed” in Luminae we never saw anything even close to what you have described. On a previous Edge cruise we did see several men trying to enter with hats or baseball caps but they were asked to remove them at the entrance. If, going forward, there is no dress code, X's self description of “modern luxury” has a whole new meaning.
  16. It’s surprising what some people actually did for a living. Today I would never trust my other half to book a hotel, let alone a cruise. 😉
  17. From Celebrity Cruises What kind of shoes should you wear on a cruise? Footwear should not be an afterthought when packing your suitcase for a cruise. While you might have the urge to throw in a pair of flip flops and call it a day, there are a few other essential shoes you’ll need to bring along on your trip. Flip flops, sandals, or waterproof slides These shoes will take you back and forth from your stateroom to the pool and vice versa. They also come in handy if you choose to visit the onboard spa. Sneakers or comfortable walking shoes If you’re planning on doing a lot of walking around the ship during days at sea, pack a pair of sneakers or other comfortable walking shoes. Sneakers will also be useful if you try out a fitness class or use the gym equipment in the ship’s state-of-the-art fitness center. Shoes or sandals for dinner Since flip flops are not allowed in the evening, make sure to bring comfortable shoes or sandals to wear during dinner in the main room.
  18. Ditto for E class. The only other ship we would sail would be Reflection.
  19. I agree that the cost of the Suites can be expensive, but we have found that when other intangible factors are figured in, they are worth it.
  20. The PRH is supposed to give guests their phone numbers when they introduce themselves. It is on their business card which they should be handing out.
  21. Same here. Never had bad service on any X ship.
  22. You do not need to upload your personal Vaccination information. We always take our documents to the port where the hands on verification is done by staff. We were receiving so many emails (2 or 3 a day for a week) from Celebrity saying “complete this, complete that” that I had to call and have them document our reservation that our check in was complete. Apparently there was a problem with their side.
  23. That may have been true at the time, but I'm not sure Boulud would appreciate his dishes being retuned because they weren’t served properly. Besides, each time chicken, or any other meat is reheated, the quality decreases.
  24. Unfortunately that is part of the problem. We found that the best time to show up for dinner was from 6:30-7:00 pm. It may be too early for some, but it allowed us to have a leisurely dinner and have plenty of time to make it to the show in the theater.
