Not sure when you’re considering sailing in December, but you wouldn’t necessarily be “stuck” with older couples. There could, however, be lots of families with children. Would that be lively enough?
I agree with your thoughts about the Retreat and Luminae. It will be interesting to see how this is handled as it sounds like the daughter’s fare might be a “cruise only rate”.
On the E class ships the Sunset Sky Suites are the S1's located only on the Aft of the ship. There are a total of 12 of them. I believe X has given them the designation “SN”.
We encountered the same situation on the Edge in July.
We had a ton of OBC and ended up buying the only items available: the JBL Ear buds which died shortly after we returned home. They must have been in the display case for quite a long time.
Perhaps that is why X is requiring testing prior to the cruise. So those who are asymptomatic will discover they have Covid and hopefully would not board.
It is not false advertising. X can name their accommodations anything they choose to.
It is the responsibility of the persons booking the cruise to do their research and should know exactly what they are paying for. If they do not, IMHO, they have no reason to complain.
