  1. Two countries separated by a common language. 😉
  2. Your cruise is 11 months away. IMO, what is currently being reported in the Oceanview Cafe is a reflection of the total number of passengers on board (not fully booked). I would venture a guess that when you sail in December the ship will have far more passengers and the offerings in Oceanview will be back to normal. Hope you and your kids have a great cruise.
  3. The revenue that is used to pay the staff comes from the cruise fare paid by passengers. If there are fewer passengers on board, that has a direct impact on the amount that gets paid to the crew for each sailing.
  4. That's an interesting commentary on the demographic of X cruisers. IMHO, X is not going to change their dress code. People have freedom of choice. If they want to dress down in the MDR, there are other lines that offer that option.
  5. No worries. Amusement rides will never happen on X. That's "sister" Royal's attraction. 😉
  6. I agree, it is what it is. 😉 We’re not going to get our knickers in a twist before experiencing the dining situation first hand on the TA this April. We will be boarding with an open mind. (Can't wait… looking forward to seeing you! 😊)
  7. We've been on a few more cruises than 46 and have ordered room service breakfast onboard every morning, with the exception of the mornings we disembarked. We won't be changing our routine now.
  8. I'm sure she appreciated your sacrifice. 😉 😁
  9. Before the E-class joined X's fleet, we had sailed Equinox twice and Reflection 5 times. Reflection is our favorite S-class ship. 👍
  10. YES! And it's getting to be very frustrating. 🤨
  11. Comparing rates for TA's in the past would be like comparing apples to bananas. The bottom line is that if you want to sail in a Suite, you will pay a higher price (especially in today’s market) and if you think you got a good deal then then the cost must have seemed worth it for you. We think a Suite is worth it and always choose the refundable rate while our Travel Agent encourages us to take the non refundable. Sometimes she wins. 😉
  12. We've sailed with Capt. Kate a few times and have met her and Bug naked too. 🐈‍⬛ She's the real deal, a truly down to earth and all around nice person. She is a also great ambassador for the X brand.
  13. Yes, fancy that. 😁 We all cruised and received CC points before the PUP program. Did anyone “make us"?
  14. We were also in a Suite on Apex last month and had reservations for several specialty restaurants including Le Petit Chef. We ended up canceling Le Petit chef for reservations at the Chef's Table instead. It was by far the best dining experience we've had on a X ship in years. Highly recommend the Chef’s Table. 👍
  15. I carry a “wristlet” to hold my pen, note paper, key card, and sometimes my cell phone.
  16. My philosophy has always been to experience anything new myself and try not to be influenced by the “noise”. As they say, there are “different strokes for different folks”. We got off the Apex Transatlantic on Nov. 12th. The cruise was great, the crew were wonderful, and the food was delicious. And there were no chair hogs to contend with. 😊
  17. Could you elaborate more on your experience? What was the problem with the food?
  18. We got off the Apex a week ago and they were calling them Butlers.
  19. The Celebrity “family” on CC lost a very dear member. The years may pass but Marilyn will be always be remembered for her contributions and her generosity of spirit. ❤️
  20. Indisposed, hmm. Meaning they’re all eating lunch? 😉 I love Capt. Kafetzis, he has a great sense of humor.
