  1. You are one of the lucky ones. I used to have a Celebrity Agent who was fantastic. Used him for 10 years. Then came Covid. Then assigned two others. Phone calls not returned. So I call the customer service number.
  2. It is not so easy to get a price adjustment. You can call the listed number to reach Celebrity and each time I have received a recording that your estimated wait time is 4 minutes. Typically, it runs between 60 and .... minutes. It is unfortunate that there is no better way to reach Celebrity or to make an adjustment.
  3. Remember that you should be entitled for a discount being Elite from any 'sale' price. We received a 30% discount from the sale price. You should receive 90 free Premium minutes to use as you wish being Elite. I don't recall getting a free day except that on the departure day there is a free trial period on some cruises. Also, packages can be pro-rated during the cruise.
  4. If you want to eat at a particular day and time, you should make a reservation months in advance. The Beyond had very limited availability once onboard. The days and times available were not our preference. Yes, you will have to settle on what is left.
  5. Yes, the $200 OBC for a cabin has been replaced with a $100 bonus to be taken from the cruise fare.
  6. No priority boarding for you. No soup for you!
  7. Yes, you can rebook and get the lower price prior to final payment. However, the perks that you received will not be grandfathered in. The perks you will receive with the new price will be those offered at that time. As for the difficulty of making the adjustment, dealing directed with Celebrity can be frustrating as hold times are substantial. Changes must be made speaking to an agent directly. Some cruisers book with favorite travel agents.
  8. You are correct that this is no longer a 'demo' or class. That used to be the case when the program first came out. We used to stay there for hours as the staff would make these elaborate items. Now it appears to be a revenue generator.
  9. The OP asked about the views from Blu. I would take the views from any S class ship than the one on the Beyond. Looking out onto an abandoned deck on the Beyond was not appealing to me.
  10. The view on the Beyond is no comparison to those on the S class ships. When looking out, there is a small deck and you can see the water beyond that. I have read that on the Ascent, there is a plan to have some outdoor seating for Blu. The food and service were excellent by the way.
  11. Sliced franks with baked beans were being served at the Buffet on the Beyond. Corn bread was also at that station.
  12. Yes, you can use them throughout your cruise. Just make sure you log out each time.
  13. You are correct. What is purchased is a 24 hour time period and not 24 hours of internet usage during the cruise. You are paying by the 'day'.
  14. I was able to combine both when calling. Got the sale and Elite discount.
  15. We are a party of 2 and had booked under the July 4 Promotion. With the Summer Sale, we saved about $250 today. I guess it depends on the particular cruise. By the way, I have called both Wednesday and today. Same message that the estimated wait time was about 4 minutes. Both times it was about one hour. There was no option for a call back.
  16. The OP could be from the Marketing Department.
  17. Agree with the above. When the numbers are high, it does not a benefit. If the numbers are ''typical', then you will be told where to report and you will be escorted to the tender area. Sometimes, we went down a secret staircase!
  18. I believe you are correct. An obstructed view may be a lifeboat directed under a room and window washing equipment. We had stayed in a room on the 7th floor which was labelled as being obstructed. If you were to look out towards the horizon, there was no obstruction. However, if you looked slightly down, your view was affected. It did not both us at all but was considered an obstruction.
  19. On our cruise in the Caribbean, most people got off the ship in St. Thomas. However, this one group of 6 reserved these prime chairs with towels and colorful clips to hold the towels. They were set up at 8 am and no one sat there through 4 pm. So the chair hog people were in force. Good thing that there were plenty of open chairs available. Never a line at the pool bar. Same scenario when we were in St. Maarten and Puerto Plata. I was tempted to collect some colorful clips for my laundry line at home. 😀
  20. When we ate in the Beyond, the beef dish that you referred to had 2 items. One was a filet mignon and the other was short rib Wellington. The dish was excellent. FILET MIGNON AND MINI SHORT RIB WELLINGTON* mashed potatoes, vegetables, mushrooms, bordelaise
  21. It was a light gray and blended in nicely with the new color scheme. Very classy and upbeat. Cosmetic changes can make a big difference.
  22. The new sofa was a shade of gray. We had been in the same room prior to and just after the remodeling. It was nice to have "our" room refreshed, just like on tv. 😛 We were led to believe that all of the Aqua and Concierge rooms were renovated. The job was not entirely completed in the Veranda rooms. The common areas were really sad before the dry dock. They did a good job bringing the ship back to life afterwards.
  23. We were in an Aqua Class cabin and the re-upholstered sofa was not white. Our room had new curtains, bed linens and comforter, mattresses, new patio furniture and carpeting.
  24. On our cruise on the Beyond, there was lunch served daily at Eden Cafe from 11:45 to 1:15. Breakfast at the Eden Cafe was not available daily.
  25. We have sailed in the type of cabin that you refer to. When I was on the balcony, I could see people on their verandas. I still have some "impressions' of what was seen. That is a drawback of those rooms. Just look out at the water and you won't be surprised. People can see you if you are towards the end of the oversized balcony. There were no cotton balls in the bathroom. Your logic on the drink package is right on. We usually inform our server what package we have and let them make recommendations. Otherwise, pay the different plus 20% service fee.
